Richard Stanley Kalinski
YUMA, Ariz. – Richard Stanley Kalinski passed away at Yuma Regional Medical Center Aug. 29, 2000.
Born in Glasgow, Mont., on Jan. 23, 1954, he is survived by his wife, M.J. of Yuma; a brother, Ron of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two nephews, John and Jeff of Glasgow.
Rick was a bartender in Glasgow and Havre, Mont., for 17 years and after moving to Yuma in 1990, displayed his tremendous talent as a carpenter.
His wit, natural abilities and perfectionist manner ensured his success in both chosen professions.
A private, reserved man, Rick enjoyed good friends, a good drink and both listening to and telling “a good story.”
His unending sense of human and total devotion to family and friends will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
Stanley C. Kirylo
Stanley C. Kirylo, 71, of Billings, passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 31, 2000, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
The son of John and Regina Kirylo, he was born in Detroit, on Feb. 2, 1929.
Stanley was raised and educated in Detroit.
He married
Gladys Maschke on Oct. 27, 1951, in Angola, Ind.
Stanley lived and worked in Detroit all of his life and retired to Billings in 1998 to be near his daughter and her family.
He was a wonderful father and grandfather and was very well liked at the Vista at Mission Ridge, where he resided the past two years.
In Michigan, he was a member of the VFW. Stanley loved Montana and visiting with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra Petesch and her husband Mark of Billings; his son John and his wife Lisa of Marshall, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Celeste, and Maggie Petesch of Billings, and Natalie and Mitchell Kirylo of Marshall.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at the Lillis Chapel at Mission Ridge.

Sharon D. Lee
Sharon D. Lee, 69, of Billings, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, in her home, surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Caroline and Theodore Jacobson, she was born in Valley City, N.D., on June 14, 1931.
She graduated from Havre High School in 1949.
On Oct. 29, 1955, she married
Richard B. Lee in Billings.
Sharon was a long standing member of P.E.O. and was actively involved in the community as a docent at the Moss Mansion Museum and a supporter of the Yellowstone Art Center.
She enjoyed bridge, golf, tennis, skiing and travel.
Survivors include her husband Richard and her four children, Charmaine, Rich, Sonja and Tamara; her sons-in-law Neil Librock and Harry Dohalick; two grandsons, Jordan and Jared; and her daughter-in-law Chris and grandsons, Joshua, Dylan and Tanner.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, at the First Congregational Church.
Memorials may be directed to the Moss Mansion Museum, the Peter Yegen Jr. Museum, or the Yellowstone Art Center.

Aldo P. Marchello
RED LODGE – Aldo P. Marchello, 85, of Red Lodge, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 30, 2000, in Billings at St. Vincent Hospital of heart failure.
Aldo was born on Jan. 16, 1915, in Meaderville, Mont.
He was the fourth son of six children born to John and Pierina Marchello.
The family moved to Red Lodge in 1921 and Aldo graduated from Carbon County High School in 1933.
Aldo worked on the Cooke City Highway for three summers, working every section of the road.
He also worked in McCloud, Calif., at a lumber mill for two and one half years before returning to Red Lodge when he went into the grocery business.
He and his brothers owned and operated a grocery store for 41 years.
The last 21 years it was Marchello’s IGA. Aldo retired in 1978.
On June 21, 1941, he was united in marriage to Catherine (Rena) Delaurenti at St. Agnes Church in Red Lodge.
They shared 59 caring and loving years together. Aldo’s family and friends were his priority.
He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Some of his favorite pastimes included golfing and reading.
Aldo was an active volunteer fireman for 15 years and was a member of the Police Auxiliary for two years.
He served six years on the City Council, was past president of Eagles and Lions Club and a past-exalted ruler of the Elks Club.
He was a very active member of the St. Agnes church and in the fall of 1999 he participated in a Cum Christo retreat that gave him a great deal of peace.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rena of Red Lodge; his daughter Janice Gillespie and husband Virgil of Fairbanks, Alaska; son Louie and wife Irene of Polson; six grandchildren, Michael Hale, Cathy Thomas, David Hale, all of Fairbanks, Alaska, Tim Marchello of Kenmore, Wash., Dana Marchello of Roxbury, Mass., and Susan Brown of Vancouver Wash.; eight great-grandchildren; brother Dr. A.J. Marchello (Virginia) of Billings, Ettore Marchello of Hamilton, Guido Marchello (Mary) of Red Lodge; sisters in-law, Josephine Borner of Billings, and Kikki Marchello of Red Lodge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Aldo was preceded in death by his mother, Pierina, and father, John, brother, Mario and sister, Minnie Patterson.
Aldo was a loving husband and caring father.
His warmth, friendship and big heart were felt by all who knew him.
He will be missed and loved always.
A vigil service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at St. Agnes Church in Red Lodge.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at St. Agnes Church in Red Lodge with interment at the Red Lodge cemetery immediately following the Mass.

Nathan A. Old Dwarf
Nathan A. Old Dwarf, 42, of Red Lodge died suddenly Aug. 30, 2000, of a heart attack.
Isii’kooshxiassaash “Eagle Bone Whistle” was born April 30, 1958, in Crow Agency, a son of Nathan Joseph Smells and Bertha Gardner.
He was adopted by Leonard and Frances Gardner Old Dwarf.
He grew up and received his education in Pryor, graduating from Plenty Coups High School in 1977.
While in high school, he actively participated in basketball, was a member of the all-conference basketball team and participated in track.
He later attended Montana State University in Bozeman and Billings.
Nathan worked construction most of his life, most recently with Empire Sand and Gravel and currently with the Stillwater Mine.
Nathan married
Julie Kreitzberg and was later divorced after 20 years of marriage.
He married
Julie Burruss and the couple made their home in Red Lodge.
He was a traditional person, who participated in Crow Indian ceremonies, including Shoshone and piercing Sun dances and pow-wows.
During his younger days, he participated in roping and rodeo events.
Nathan was a member of the Catholic Church, Native American Church, Big Lodge and Piegan Clans and was a child of the Big Lodge Clan.
He was preceded in death by his father; his adopted parents and a brother and a sister.
Survivors include his common-law wife, Julie of Red Lodge; twin sons, Brandon and Shannon Old Dwarf of Pryor; a daughter, Yolanda Old Dwarf of Pryor; a stepson, Steffan Walker of Red Lodge; his mother, Bertha (Lawrence) Old Bull, Sr. of Lodge Grass; his stepmother, Clara Smells of Pryor; four sisters, Veronica (Heywood) Big Day, Jr., Sophie (Max Dawes) Old Bull, Valerie (Vincent) Horsechief and Jolene Smells; five brothers, Rodney Curtis (Traci) Old Bull, Tim (Julie) Smells, Artie Smells, Lawrence (Charlene) Old Bull, Jr. and John Smells; two grandchildren, Honor B.D.A. “Sparky” Old Dwarf K.G. and Pride J.F. “Peaches” Old Dwarf; three adopted brothers, Robert Flat Lip, William and Gus Gardner; numerous aunts, uncles cousins and co-workers; as well as numerous ex-in-laws, including the Kreitzberg, Hoffman and Stovall families.
Rosary will be recited 4 p.m. Friday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday in the Pryor St. Charles Catholic Mission.
Interment will follow in the Gardner Family cemetery.
Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Joseph Martin Pluth
DANVILLE, Ill. – Joseph Martin Pluth, 89, passed away at 11:08 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Roundup, Mont., the son of the late Martin and Anna Pluth.
He married
Audrey E. Haines on Oct. 30, 1940, in Menominee, Mich.
She preceded him in death April 10, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Martin (Barbara) Pluth of Monterey, Calif., and Gregory (Patricia) Pluth of Minneapolis; three daughters, Joanne Runyon of Leavenworth, Kan., Roberta (Dan) McClelland of Duluth, Minn., and Mary (David) Liskin of Carmel, Calif.; one brother, Louis F. Pluth of Roundup and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Pluth served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Submarine Service.
He was retired from R&S Printing in Danville.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post 210 and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
Family services to be announced at a later date.
Burial in Leavenworth National cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan.
Memorials may be made in his name to the St. Paul’s Endowment Fund.

David Reichert
David Reichert, 65, of Billings, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, at his home.
David was born June 20, 1935, to Frank and Eva (Roll) Reichert at Hirschville, N.D.
He moved with his family at age 4 to Huntley, Mont., where he attended school.
David served in the Navy (Seabees) from 1951 to 1953.
He was stationed in Guam, Subic Bay, Philippines, Adak, Alaska.
David married
Diane Helmann on May 11, 1957, in Auburn, Wash.
They lived in Washington until 1958 and then moved to Montana.
Dave was a heavy equipment operator for 37 years, working for Barry O’Leary for 25 years.
During this time he was involved in the construction of the groundwork of Rimrock Mall and Kimberly Heights.
Dave enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.
During the 43 years Dave and Diane were married
, they made many friends.
They spent many winters in the Lake Havasu City, Ariz., area.
David had a wonderful sense of humor, and he enjoyed giving and receiving hugs.
David is survived by his wife, Diane; two daughters, Angela of Billings and Barbara of San Francisco; his sisters and brothers, Gloria Sherman of Huntley, Loretta (Ray) Bosch of Laurel, Gene (Eleanor) Reichert of Huntley, Gabriel (Carol) Reichert of Shepherd, Christina Ketchel of Billings, Eva Marie (Ernie) Eddy of Dillon and Julie Ann Krum of Worden; many nieces and nephews and in-laws Barbara and Albert Fenster and John Helmann.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Carl and Frank.
A Vigil Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.
Both services will be at St. Bernard’s Parish.
The Rite of Committal will be held at Holy Cross cemetery.
Dahl Funeral Chapel will be in charge of the services.
Ida C. Schmidt
CIRCLE – Ida C. Schmidt, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, at the McCone County MAF in Circle.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clayton Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
Talisa AnnMarie Smith
LOVELL, Wyo. – Talisa AnnMarie Smith, 7 years old, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Haskell Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, in the Lovell LDS Chapel with burial in the Lovell cemetery.
