Eila M. Sealey
ROUNDUP – Ella M. Sealey passed away May 8, 2000, after a brief but very courageous battle with cancer. Ella was born in Roundup on April 19, 1925, the daughter of Edward H. and Mary Ellen Baker. She attended school in the Roundup area and graduated from Roundup High School in 1943. On April 15, 1944, Ella married
Lawrence Sealey and together they resided in the Roundup area since that time.
Ella had a great love of life and displayed her wonderful creativity in her painting, teddy bears, flowers, neckties, nursing home decorations and many other arts and crafts. She very much enjoyed having big family gatherings, collecting antiques and trying new things. The sparkle in her eyes gave away her enormous energy, and sense of humor. She made friends very easily, enjoyed and loved her large family and adored her beloved husband, Lawrence. She will be very much missed by all of us who knew and loved her.
Ella is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lawrence; mother, Mary Ellen Baker; sister, Eva Lee Bennett, all of Roundup; and brother, Earl Baker and wife, Alice of Hayden Lake, Idaho. She is also survived by her children, Randy (Billings), Terry (Roundup), Monty and wife, Carolyn (Roundup) Laury and wife, Elaine (Billings) and Dusty Komrofske (Colorado Springs). Her grandchildren include Chad, Amy, Tyler, Landon, Jeff, Brandy, Nicole, Shannon and Paul. Great-grandchildren include Isabella and McKenna. Survivors also include many wonderful nieces, nephews and families.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, at the Wier Funeral Chapel, and funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Roundup; internment at the Roundup City cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the Roundup Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home, the Musselshell Valley Community Foundation or the charity of one’s choice.
William Shipley
LIVINGSTON – William Shipley, 82, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2000, at the Livingston Health Center following an extended illness. Mr. Shipley was a Livingston resident for the majority of his life.
Mr. Shipley was born cast of Livingston, at Elton, on Dec. 31, 1917. Growing up he had a job of setting pins at a bowling alley. He also was employed at mining in Butte, and later worked for Snavely Transfer and Storage. Mr. Shipley was especially known as being the head custodian at the East Side School, working there 35 years until retiring in 1985.
Music was an especially important part of his life either listening to or playing fiddle and mandolin with his friends. He also had passion for photography, bowling, fishing and Model “T” racing. Much of his vacations were spent traveling or enjoying the outdoors.
In 1941, he married
Maude Worthington, and they had four children together; William Shipley (wife JoAnne), Robert Shipley (wife Virginia), Joyce Arnold (husband Doc) and Joe.
He is survived by all of his children, eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, one brother George. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, William and Ella; two brothers, Robert and James; and one sister Nellie.
Although there will be no religious services, the family warmly invites any of Bill’s friends to come and share a light refreshments and comfort of friends in his remembrance. This will be held at 1 p.m., May 13, at the Livingston Senior Center, at 206 S. Main Street. Cremation has taken place. Lowry Funeral Home in Big Timber was in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Simpson Gilberti
ALIQUIPPA, Pa. – Memorial services for Ruth Simpson Gilberti, 78, formerly of Roundup, Mont., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2000, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roundup. Interment will follow at the New Miners cemetery.
Thomas K. Allen
DECKER – Thomas K. Allen, 46, died of injuries sustained in a truck rollover accident south of Decker near the Montana-Wyoming Border
Cremation has taken place in the Bullis-Eastern Montana Crematory. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin is in charge.
Michael M. Bruski
Michael M. Bruski, 82, of Billings died June 9, 2000.
Mike was born in Wibaux, Mont., on April 7, 1918, to John and Kathryn (Kierzk) Bruski. He was raised and educated in Wibaux. Following high school graduation he was employed as a truck driver for H F Johnson in Laurel.
Mike married
Eleen Freund August 18, 1942 in Laurel, Mont.. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 reaching the rank of staff sergeant. They lived for a short time in Salt Lake City and settled in Billings where he worked as a carpenter with various contractors until his retirement in 1980. Then he worked from his garage on Projects Unlimited.
He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus and 50 year member of Carpenter Local 1172.
Mike enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, bowling and watching his grandkids’ varied extracurricular activities. He especially enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to play cribbage.
Survivors included Eleen his wife of 57 years; son, Michael G. (Betty); daughter, Cheryl Tehle (Mike); son, John (Pat); grandchildren, Robert (Diane) and Susan Tehle, Tony, Bree and Bill Bruski; great granddaughter, Casey Tehle; sisters, Francis and Vicky; brothers, Tony, Andy and Chet; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Bernadine and Mary; and infant son, George.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 12, at Dahl Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. June 13 at St. Thomas Catholic Church with interment following at Holy Cross cemetery.

CIRCLE – Hans Boyum, 87, died June 9, 2000, at his home.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the First Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be at the Riverview cemetery. Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge.
Leonard Mumedy
EKALAKA – Leonard Mumedy, 89, died on Friday, June 9, 2000 at the Holy Rosary Health Care Center in Miles City.
A Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Stevenson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at the Carter County High School. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery.
Patrick Carl Roberts
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Patrick Carl Roberts, 52, died on Sunday, June 4, 2000, at the VA Medical Center.
Memorial services and military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at Connor Battlefield State Historical Park in Ranchester.
Melvin S. Jensen
PLENTYWOOD – Melvin S. Jensen, 66, died of natural causes at his home on Thursday, June 1, 2000.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Fulkerson Memorial Chapel. Interment of cremated remains, with military honors, will follow in Plentywood cemetery.

Gary C. Peters, 46, of Billings, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000.
No services are planned. Cremation at Cremation or Funeral Gallery.
Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Settle
Elizabeth “Betty” Settle passed away Monday, May 22, 2000, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was 81 years old.
She was born Elizabeth Cooney on Jan. 8, 1919, in Butte. She was born to John Patrick Cooney and Leta Hodgen. Betty spent her childhood in Harlowton and graduated from Harlowton High School. She then attended a business school in Los Angeles.
Betty married
Edward H. Settle in South Carolina on Nov. 30, 1944. They moved to Grand Junction, Colo., in 1958. Her interests were playing bridge, golf and spending time with her family and friends. She was also involved in helping her husband with the family business, Bookcliff Gardens. Edward preceded her in death in 1994.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. Settle and Virginia Settle and William R. Settle and Angie Settle, all of Grand Junction; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Del Adolf of Grand Junction; three brothers, Robert, William and Frank Cooney, all of Harlowton; a brother, Jack Cooney, preceded her in death; two sisters, Katherine Chandler of Phoenix, and Mary McNamara of Helena; seven grandchildren, Jason Settle, Joseph Settle, Heather Settle, Rebecca Vroman, Billy Settle, Chris Adolf and Evan Adolf; two great-grandchildren, Kalyna Settle and Kathryn Vroman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Service of Remembrance was held Friday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church with Father Stan Wright officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Callahan-Edfast Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
John Mason Gutz
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – John Mason Gutz, 75, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in Sheridan Manor after an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, from the First Congregational Church. Ferries Funeral Home is in charge.
Andrew A. ‘Andy’ Jamieson Jr.
ROBERTS – Andrew A. “Andy” Jamieson Jr., 66, of Roberts, died Thursday morning, June 8, 2000, in Billings Deaconess Medical Center.
Born in Pueblo, Colo., on Aug. 27, 1933, Andy was a son of Andrew A. and Elizabeth Jamieson. He was raised and educated in Pueblo and served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict.
Andy was employed by Asphalt Supply Co. for 33 years, moving to Laurel in 1985. There he met Joyce, and they were married
in Lander, Wyo. They resided in Laurel until February of 1986 when they settled on their ranch at Roberts. Having his own place was a dream come true for Andy, and he enjoyed helping his Roberts neighbors with irrigating and haying. He was a member of the Roberts Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jamieson of Roberts; one daughter, Kathy (Jim) Autry of Wagon Mound, N.M.; two step-sons, Ken (Cheri) Hitshew of Rapid City, S.D., and Tim (Linda) Hubbard of Gillette, Wyo.; two sisters, Corrine (Mick) Wilson of Pueblo, and Ellen (Walt) Bassett of Beulah, Colo.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, in the Olcott Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be given to the Roberts Volunteer Fire Dept., or to the charity of one’s choice.

GARDINER – Charles Mikolich, 82, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at his home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday, June 12, until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston. Graveside committal and interment will follow at Park View cemetery.
