LOIS E. “TEEP” WICK
Lois Elaine “Teep” Wick, 63, of Park City, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, September 27, 2002, surrounded by loved ones.
Lois was born on Nov. 19, 1938 in Hewitt, Wis., a daughter to Charles and Florence Asplin.
Our mother had a smile that lit up a room and her laughter was so honest and boisterous. It was even contagious! She had an amazing voice, truly the voice of an angel. When she lifted it in song, she could make you feel whatever she wanted. On occasion when her big beautiful eyes filled with tears Lois could melt the coldest hearts. Mom loved to read and write poetry. Her personalized floral arrangements were an expression of her love and warmth. Mom loved nothing more than cooking a “big” meal for her family, along with anyone else who might wander in, and then watching them enjoy it. But sitting on the river bank, pole in hand, waiting for a bite, ran a close second. She was a wife, mother, teacher and friend. Her caring and sensibility was our guiding light.
Mom loved well and was well loved. She will be deeply missed and will be forever in our hearts.
Lois is survived by her daughters, Rosa Maddux of Billings, Katherine Whitaker of Red Lodge, Melody Hake of Pray, Penny Knight of Green River, Wyo., and Lora Wendt of Bridger; her brothers, Hubert Asplin of Moorhead, Minn. and Donald Asplin of Madison, Wis.; her sisters, Betty Asplin of Laurel, Addie Jean Suckow of Marquette, Mich., Velda Walker of Osseo, Wis., Lila Sackett of Eau Claire, Wis. and Lorraine Newlieb of Fergus Falls, Minn.; her 9 grandchildren, Charity Boller, Kevin Lewellen, Buster Quesenberry, Kissy Nelson, Kyle Lewellen, Tammy Menefee, Dan Quesenberry, Braxton Knight and Leah Sticka; and 3 great grandchildren, Cameron Quesenberry, McKenzee Menefee and Samantha Nelson.
Lois was preceded in death by her brother, William Asplin and her sister, Florence Beyer.
A special mention to Leonard and Brenda Adams, Gloria Lovell and Mike and Charity Boller for loving mom so very well.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Oct. 6, at Teep’s home, 161 Old Mill Rd. in Park City. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Beartooth Hospice, 600 W 21, Red Lodge, MT or to the Northern Rockies Cancer Center, 1041 N. 29th, Billings, MT 59101.
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
