Timothy LeRoy Nottingham
COQUILLE, Ore. – Timothy LeRoy Nottingham, 17, of Coquille, formerly of Belfry, Mont., passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Eugene, Ore., from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born on July 28, 1982, in Powell, Wyo., a son of Timothy W. and OLinda Nottingham. He lived in Montana and Texas for several years before moving to Powers, Ore., in 1995 where he attended school for two years. Timothy then spent two years in Winnemucca, Nev., before moving to Coquille a year ago.
He was a junior at Coquille High School where he was an honor student and a member of the Drama Club. Tim worked as a DJ at a local radio station, at Figaro’s Pizza, and he also did landscaping and yard work.
Timothy enjoyed music, woodworking, gardening, working on cars and fishing, but his greatest love was his family. He was a member of the Coquille Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Tim was full of life and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his father, Timothy W. and Marie Nottingham of Coquille; his mother, OLinda and Gerald Gose of Fromberg; two brothers, Michael and Monica and nephew Tristian Nottingham of Abilene, Texas, and Matthew and Sonja Nottingham of Vittoriovneto, Italy; one sister, Tina Nottingham and nephew Raven of Fromberg; grandfather, Squire Jones of Belfry; grandmother, Laura Nottingham of Belfry; and grandparents, Kenneth and Betty Betts of Powers, Ore.; one step-brother, Johnathan Johns of Bakersfield, Calif.; and four step-sisters, Cheryl Johns of Coquille, Melanie Johns of Milford, Calif., Layna Crabtree of Molino, Fla., and Julie Johns of Bandon, Ore.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2 in the Belfry Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will follow in the Belfry cemetery with the Olcott Funeral Chapel of Red Lodge in charge of arrangements. Services in Oregon were held Saturday in the Coquille High School Gymnasium.
George Ommundsen
LIVINGSTON – George Ommundsen, 86, died Friday, April 28, 2000, at Livingston Health & Rehab Center.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church. Cremation will follow. Graveside committal and burial will be held at a later date at Shorthill cemetery.

LIVINGSTON – Lorine Snow, 98, died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Frontier Personal Care Home.
Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory. No services are planned.

PLEVNA - Iris Zeuschner, 71, died on Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at the Fallon Medical Complex in Baker.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Stevenson's Funeral Home in Baker. Interment will be in the Plevna Community cemetery.
Clea Lynn
LOVELL, Wyo. - Clea Lynn, 94, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at New Horizons Care Center.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home on Friday, March 3. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4 at the LDS Stake Center. Interment will be in the Lovell cemetery.
George J. Allery Jr.
CHINOOK - George J. Allery Jr., 33, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre following a single pickup accident.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, in Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in Chinook with mass recited at 11 a.m. on March 1 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of Malta. Interment will follow at the Allery family cemetery south of Whitewater. Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook is in charge.
Irene Jane Fowler
SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Irene Jane Fowler, 80, died at her home in Sheridan.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Kane Funeral Home.
Arthur L. Dillon
POWELL, Wyo. – Arthur L. Dillon, 73, died on Thursday, April 27, 2000, at the Powell Hospital.
Services are pending. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge.
Aubrey Ferguson
PLENTYWOOD – Funeral services for Aubrey Ferguson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29. Pastor David C. Curtright will officiate at the service at Plentywood Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Plentywood Memorial cemetery. Aubrey, 83, died Tuesday evening, April 25, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood.
Aubrey was born at Alkabo, N.D., June 20, 1916, the son of Ed and Selma (Stromstad) Ferguson. His mother died while Aubrey was a small child, and he was raised by his father on the family farm. He graduated from Westby High School in 1935 and married
Verna Olson Feb. 22, 1939. They farmed in the Westby community, and operated the Westby Drug Store. In 1954, they bought the Blue Moon Nite Club in Plentywood and operated both businesses until they sold the drug store and moved to Plentywood in 1959. They sold the Blue Moon in 1972.
Aubrey worked at the Peterson Hardware and clerked at many auction sales until failing health forced his retirement. All his life he followed his first love, baseball, softball, and basketball. As a competitor, as a fan, and as a widely known and respected coach, Aubrey was one of the central figures in regional sports activities. In 1987, Aubrey was the two time winner of the Frank Morrison Award, which goes to Northeastern Montana citizens for outstanding community service in the field of sports. In the 1960s and 1970s he was a coach and sponsor of teams in the Scobey Invitational Basketball tourney. He started the Fastpitch Softball program in Plentywood; and the Blue Moon Nite Club teams he sponsored and coached were usually contenders in many regional tournaments. At one time, he even had Phil Jackson (head coach of the six-time world Champion Chicago Bulls and now head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers) on his basketball team in the Western Invitational Tournament in Lewistown.
He coached State Championship and National Baseball Congress competitive teams and was honored for his lifelong dedication to the game by the naming of the diamond at Sportsmen’s Park as “Ferguson Field.” Aubrey has been resident at Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home and kept in touch with sports by television, radio, and visits with family, friends, and former players.
Aubrey is survived by two sons, Larry and his wife, Sandra, of Butte, and Tom and his wife, Barb, of Plentywood; by one daughter, Peggy, and her husband, Glen Sattoriva, of Billings; by grandchildren Callie, Todd, Scott, Melissa, Derik, Michael, and Nathan; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and five sisters: David Ferguson and his wife, Sharon, of Helena; Darrold Ferguson and his wife, Donna of Missoula; Ione Anderson of Minneapolis; Elaine Koon and her husband, Les of Helena; Marjorie Reed, of Plentywood; Kathryn Adamy and her husband Bill of New York; and Carol Jean Capell and her husband, Dick of California. Survivors also include a special friend, Ned Chandler of Plentywood. Besides his wife, Verna, who died Aug. 1, 1999, and parents, Aubrey was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Ferguson and by two sisters, Vavine, in infancy and Selma Sneva.

ROSEBUD – Roy Everett Helland, 77, died April 26, 2000, in Billings.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Forsyth cemetery.

SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Norma Rozella Wren, 90, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Kane Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Masonic No. 8 Oblong Square.

THERMOPPOLIS, Wyo. – Marie Opal Lindvig Westberg-Spiller, 82, died Tuesday, April 25, at Canyon Hills Manor after a lengthy illness.
Visitation is Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mortimore Funeral Home. Private services will be Friday, April 28.

SHERIDAN, Wyo. – John Roy Campros 60, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at Kane Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Big Horn cemetery.
Richard C. ‘Dick’ Fisher
Richard C. “Dick” Fisher, 58, of Billings, passed away Wednesday morning, April 26, 2000, at his home. The son of Charles and LaVida (Rau) Fisher, he was born in McLaughlin, S.D., on August 25, 1941.
Dick attended McLaughlin Public Schools where he graduated Class of ’59. He received a general business education from the Aberdeen (S.D.) School of Business. He went on to become business manager of U.S. Steel in Shelby, business manager of Hatch Motor Co. in Shelby, manager of Hovey & Stone Chevrolet in Wolf Point, owner and manager of KVCK Radio in Wolf Point, owner and manager of Dick Fisher Motors in Glasgow, owner and manager of Hertz Rent-A-Car’s Glasgow office, manager of Wolf Point Ready Mix, Oilfield Construction Division in Wolf Point, owner and manager of Hotco, Inc., Oilfield Service Development in Wolf Point, co-owner and manager of J-D Auto, Wholesale and Retail Used Car Business in Wolf Point, owner of Car & Truck Inc. in Billings and Fleet and Lease Sales Manager at Auto Auction of Billings.
Dick was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Billings, served as director of the Independent Auto Dealers Association, was a member of Ducks Unlimited, a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge in Glasgow and was a volunteer for the Governor’s Cup Walleye Fishing Tournament.
He loved hunting, camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, and gardening. Dick will be remembered for his sensitivity to the needs of others and his generosity to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Fisher in 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Celia of Billings; his mother, LaVida of Rapid City, S.D.; his two children, Stephanie Fisher of Billings and Brad Fisher and his wife. Janet of Helena; his three step-children, Kathryn Sorum, Laura Sorum, and Kristina Sorum, all of Billings; his brothers, Kenneth Fisher and his wife, Linda of Fort Collins, Colo., and Barry Fisher and his wife, Donna of Pine Mountain, Ga.; his sister, Peggy Thompson and her husband, Jim of Appleton, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Chelsea, Brianna, Emily, and Harrison Fisher, all of Helena.
Visitation will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Billings with cremation to follow. Memorials may be directed to: AFLAC Cancer Center, Attn. Richard L. Fisher
Richard L. Fisher, 52, of Billings, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at Deaconess Medical Center.
Rickie was born on Dec. 30, 1947 in Hardin, a son of James and Elizabeth Fisher. As a young man he loved to hunt and fish. He received his education at St. Labre where he participated in sports and music and graduated in 1965. In June of that year he enlisted in the Air Force.
Following his honorable discharge in 1968, Rickie moved to Billings where he worked and continued his love for sports with city league softball and basketball. He was proud of his accomplishments as an electrical lineman and was working for Harp Line Construction at the time of his death.
Survivors include two daughters, Annette Tarabini and Riqui Smith; three grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas and Jonathan; six brothers, George (Karen), Francis (Helen), Ronnie (Char), Dale, Tommy (Annette), and Bobby (Donna); four sisters, Francine Fisher, Beverly Fisher, Ernestine (Jim) Red Cloud, and Lily Small. Rickie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosalie.
Visitations will begin Saturday at Smith Downtown Chapel and the family will be at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday to greet friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 1, at Smith Downtown Chapel with cremation to follow the services.
Willmar W. Carey
GOLDEN VALLEY, Ariz. – Willmar W. Carey, 73, son of the late Walter and Quinta Carey of Wolf Point, Mont., went into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, in Kingman, the result of an automobile accident.
Bill was born May 1, 1926, in Wolf Point and spent his childhood on the family farm in northern McCone County. He graduated from the eighth grade at Horgen School and completed high school in Wolf Point. He spent a number of years helping his parents with the family farm. He served with a U.S. Army military police unit during World War II.
He then resettled to Golden Valley where he was a ranch manager and guided tourists in the Arizona back country. He loved his horses and his little black dog Babe.
Bill is survived by his son, William E. of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three brothers, Kenneth of Chatsworth, Calif., Victor of Scottsdale, Ariz., and George of Billings, Mont.; three sisters June of Lynnwood, Wash., Cleo of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mildred of Seattle; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2000, at the Greenwood cemetery in Wolf Point. Cremation has taken place. No flowers please.
Raymond Horton
COLUMBUS – Raymond Horton, 99, formerly of Fishtail and Absarokee, died at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center Wednesday, April 26, 2000, due to complications of surgery for a broken hip.
Ray was born at Colorado Springs, Colo., on April 16, 1901. He was the second of five children born to Silas and Lure Sohn Horton.
Ray grew up in the Billings and Hardin areas. He went to the first grade at McKinley School in Billings and graduated the eighth grade at Nine Mile School north of Hardin. His early years in Billings were spent in school and delivering the Gazette. After the family returned to Billings, he went to work for the Western Newspaper Union doing stereotyping and later he was a pressman. After his work in the newspaper business, he moved with his family to Rosebud County. There he met the love of his life, Lenora Nelson. They were married
at Forsyth, Nov. 4, 1925. They had three children. In 1931, they moved to the ranch on Fishtail Creek and raised fine Hereford cattle.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora; a son, Raymond Jr.; two brothers, Art and Orville and his only sister, Hisley.
Survivors include a daughter, Margery Gaab of Park City; a son, Howard (Barbara) Horton of Missoula; a brother, Marion (Adeline) Horton of Deer Lodge; nine grandchildren, one of which is Ed Vigg (Paulette) whom he raised as his own. Also surviving are two step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Ray had lived the last few years at the Stillwater Community Hospital, first in the Sadie Copulous Retirement Unit and the last year in their extended care unit.
Our father, brother, grandfather, granddad and uncle will be greatly missed and will stay in our hearts forever.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Absarokee Community Congregational Church. Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel was in charge of arrangements and cremation.
