Robert V. Corson
Robert V. Corson was born Aug. 15, 1929, to Robert B. and Vera Corson in Billings. He passed away Jan. 19, 2000, after an extended illness at Western Manor Nursing Home.
Bob was married
26 years to Ursula, which ended in divorce 20 years ago. They had three children, Vickie Ahrberg, Claremont, Calif.; Vern (Sally), Tacoma, Wash; and Valerie (Torn) Miller, Billings.
Bob has been a resident of Western Manor for 21 years. He contacted Parkinson. disease 39 years ago. He worked at N P Transport until he resigned because of health problems.
He was a member of Naval Reserve until he entered the Army to go to Korea. Bob lived with Lyle and Ethel Belden and their son, Harry during his older teens until he married
. He attended Billings schools.
He is survived by his ex-wife, three children, six grandchildren, and brother, John. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John.
Bob enjoyed trains, and had an extensive model railroad prior to his stay at Western Manor.
The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Western Manor for all the care and attention that they gave Bob.

The casket is closed and a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Mountview cemetery.
Richard Albert Burton
BOZEMAN - Richard Albert Burton, 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Gebo, Mont., to Albert and Charity (Rawlins) Burton. He married
Genevieve M. Olson in Billings on Oct. 23, 1933. He lived all his life in Billings until 1994, when the couple moved to Bozeman.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shrine, Scottish Rite, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Billings.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, of Bozeman; sister, Jessie Burton Thomas of Red Lodge; son, Larry G. Burton of Missoula; daughter, Jean Jones of Bozeman; daughter, Bonnie Sutton, of Missoula; daughter, Gloria Kealy, of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren, Debbie Jones Story, Jay Jones, Theresa Jones Wirth, Michael Jones, Jack Sutton Jr., Pam Sutton Stubbs, Robert Sutton, and Bonni Kealy; and great-grandchildren Tara Jean Caudill, Brent Caudill, Brittany Wirth, Sean Wirth, Steven Jones, Tasha Jones, Robert Stubbs, and Randi Stubbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Zena Burton Moore and Ethel Burton Ogbin; and son, Richard Patrick Burton.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, in the Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. A public visitation will be held 12-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at Smiths Funeral Chapel 120 N. 26th St., Billings. A private family service will be held Monday with interment following in Mountview cemetery in Billings. Should friends desire, memorial contributions in Richard's name may he made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, PO Box 2472, Spokane, WA 99210, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
John Kenneth Reece
John Kenneth Reeve passed away on Jan. 18, 2000, at the age of 75 after a brief, but courageous, battle with respiratory problems. John was born May 6, 1924, to Frank and Margaret Reece in Franklin, N.C.
Educated in Franklin, John joined the Navy on May 3, 1943, and served on a destroyer, the USS Biloxi during WWII. He received an honorable discharge on Feb. 12, 1946. John married
Helen K. Reece, his wile of 53 years on April 16, 1946, in Greenville, N.C., then moved to Billings in 1947.
John started a 40-year career with Archie Cochrane Ford on Feb. 1, 1947. Starting as a mechanic, his people skills soon led him into sales. At Ford, the term "Top Hatter" depicted the level of achievement in Ford Truck sales that John attained for 28 of those 40 years. Teamwork, honesty, integrity were the ingredients to customer satisfaction and a repeat clientele. Dad's trademark was always a red Ford pickup as a demonstrator.
John lived life to its very fullest. Family, friends, fishing and Ford pickups topped his list of favorites. John is survived by his wife Helen of the family home; a son, Michael of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Jane (husband Vic) of Douglas, Wyo.; his mother, Margaret and a brother, J. D. Reece, both of Franklin, N.C.; and his youngest brother, Edward (wife Virginia) of Ashville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Jordan and Jenelle; two step grandchildren, Shane and Shonna; three step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father, Frank, a brother, Bill and a sister, Lucille. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association, Montana Affiliate, Christmas Seal Building, 825 Helena Ave., Helena, MT 59601.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Smith Wet Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Interment of cremains will take place at Pleasantview following services.
Mina B. Roberts
POWELL, Wyo. - Mina B. Roberts, 93, died at the Powell Nursing Home on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at first the United Methodist Church. Services will follow the visitation. Interment will be in Crown Hill cemetery. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge.
Matilda C. Heny
POWELL, Wyo. - Matilda C. Heny, 97, died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at the Powell Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill cemetery.Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge.
Orlo Johnson 'Jay' Sessions
BYRON, Wyo. - Orlo Johnson "Jay" Sessions was born Dec. 10, 1919, the first and only son of Orlo P. and Savanna Johnson Sessions, in Byron. He grew up on the family farm west of Byron, attended the Byron schools and graduated from Byron High School. While attending Byron High he was active in sports and excelled in athletics.
He married
Eileen Harbert on March 16, 1940, in Billings. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II serving in the Pacific, particularly Iwo Jima. He also served in Korea. After his discharge, he went to work for Ohio Oil Co., later Marathon Oil Co., for more than 40 years in exploration and production, and in the drilling division and as a "tool pusher" in the western United States. He also lived and worked in Libya, North Africa, for some time.
In 1964, he returned to the U.S. and purchased a ranch in the Pryor Mountains and ran cattle there for summer range. He wintered the cattle on the family farm near Byron.
After his retirement from Marathon Oil, he spent full time working with his cattle which he enjoyed for a number of years.
Mr. Sessions died at the age of 80 Jan. 17, 2000, at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Roberts and husband, Bruce of St. George, Utah; granddaughters, Hollie Jones and husband, Jim and their children, A.J. and Joey of Byron; Heidi Richins and husband, Todd and children, Makenzie and Hayden of Sheridan; Heather Noorda and husband, Matthew and children, Cole, Hannah, Elsie and Abigail of Salt Lake City; sisters and families, Marjorie Murdock of Seattle, Colleen Asay and husband, Cal of Muskogee, Okla., and Savanna Christensen of Worland; sister-in-law, Virginia Godfrey of Salt Lake City; and brother-in-law, Donald C. Harbert of Cody and their families.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 21, at the Byron LDS Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment will military honors will be in the Byron cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of arrangements.
William A. "Bill" Long
William A. "Bill" Long, 60, passes away Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Billings Deaconess Hospital following a lengthy illness. William was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Red Lodge, the first of seven children born to Hank and Helen Mering Long. After graduating from Edgar High School in 1957, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he was employed by Mountain Bell and later by Three Rivers Telephone Co., retiring at Ennis in 1994. Bill loved hunting, fishing and enjoying his cabin and time with his family at Fort Peck Reservoir.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William H. Long and step-granddaughter, Lisa Bloch. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Helen A. Long; four sisters, Sandra (Gerald) Sandvig of Phoenix, Ariz., Nancy (Roy) Wright of Brush, Colo., Carol (Jim) Rogina of Glasgow, Patricia (Steve) Fraser of Billings; two brothers, Dan (Lana) Long of Billings and Charles (Linda) Long of Fort Peck; six stepchildren, Scott, Terry, Colin Anderson, Jeanne, Steve, Tom Bloch; four step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews.
At Bill's request, no service will be held. Friends will gather later to honor his memory. Cremation was at Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

PLENTYWOOD - Art Bolke, 83, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Plentywood.
Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Plentywood Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Dooley cemetery. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Plentywood is in charge of arrangements.
Debra Phillips Luck
Debra Jean Phillips Luck, 43, of Billings, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2000. She is a native of Georgia and is survived by her parents Walter and Frances Phillips; three sisters, Donna, Dawn, and Denise; two nephews, Donnie and Quentin all of Marietta, Georgia.
Debbie was a graduate of Grady Memorial School of Nursing, which is affiliated with Georgia State and Emory University. She was employed by Westmont Health Care Services as a personal care registered nurse, until her death.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, 29 8th St. West, Billings.

S.M. 'Mark' Goold
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - S.M. "Mark" Goold passed away at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County on Jan. 16, 2000.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2051 Colonial Drive. Cremation has taken place. Kane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wayne F. Not Afraid
LODGE GRASS - Wayne F. Not Afraid, 54, of Lodge Grass, died suddenly Jan. 17, 2000, of heart complications.
He was born Jan. 3, 1946, in Crow Agency, a son of Cedric and Julia Williamson Not Afraid. He received his education in Lodge Grass, graduating from Lodge Grass High School in 1964. While in school, he actively participated in basketball, football and rodeo events. He was a 1964 all-conference selection in football and an East-West Shrine football participant. He later attended Casper College, receiving a degree in range management.
In 1963 he was the Montana State High School All-around Rodeo Champion, and while attending college, he was a member of the 1965 National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Championship Team. He was a four-time qualifier for the Indian National Finals Rodeo in the calf roping event. He was also team roper and active member of the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains Rodeo Association. He rodeoed for more than three decades. He was currently employed for the Crow Tribal Natural Resources Department.
Wayne married
Candace Pease and was later divorced. He married
Anita LaRance on March 3, 1999, in Sheridan, Wyo., and the couple made their home on the family ranch southeast of Lodge Grass
He was a member of the Baptist Church, Newly Made Lodge Clan and a child of the Greasy Mouth Clan.
Wayne was preceded in death by a daughter, Hailey; his father and two brothers, Dee and Gary.
Survivors include his wife, Anita of Lodge Grass; a daughter, Kimberly (Lansing) Bird in Ground of Lodge Grass; two sons, Marty (Marion) and Jeremy (Roxanne) Not Afraid of Lodge Grass; his mother, Julia Not Afraid of Lodge Grass; a sister, Irene Not Afraid of Lodge Grass; an adopted brother, Lloyd (Alvena) Pickett of Crow Agency; his adopted parents, Flora and Cyril Not Afraid of Lodge Grass, and his grandchildren, Ty and Erin Bird in Ground, Cara, Lacey, Wyatt, Courtney, Zane and Sydney Not Afraid.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Lodge Grass, First Crow Indian Baptist Mission. Interment will follow in the Lodge Grass cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Gordon Shawn Bear Ground
LODGE GRASS - Gordon Shawn Bear Ground, 28, of Lodge Grass, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, of injuries sustained in a one-car accident near Pryor.
Ishuua Hawashdawish "His Song Travels" was born May 22, 1971, in Crow Agency, a son of Greeley Not Afraid and Doris Gets Down, He grew up and attended school in Lodge Grass, graduating in 1990. He was raised by his uncle Dewey Bulltail and the late Beverly Bulltail. He attended Concordia College for two years and the American Indian Institute of Art in Santa Fe, N.M., for one year.
Gordon married
Mary Martinez in 1994 and the couple resided in New Mexico for three years before moving to Lodge Grass in 1997. He was a self-employed artist.
He enjoyed all sports, participating in football, basketball, wrestling and track, where he received numerous awards and medals. He was awarded All State honors as a linebacker for Lodge Grass High School and was selected to attend the northwest regional football camp, where he was chosen the Most Valuable Player. Traditional values were important to him, especially participating in hand games and arrow throwing events. He was a member of the 1987 champion Junior Arrow Throwing Team. Shawn was a very gifted, talented and outgoing person who enjoyed listening to traditional music.
Gordon was a member of the Catholic Church, Ties the Bundle Clan, a child of Bad War Deeds Clan, Native American Church and Sweat Lodge Ceremony.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Junior Not Afraid, Olive Bear Ground Stewart, Margaret Bull Tail Ernest and Josephine Gets Down; his adopted mother, Beverely Bull Tail and adopted sister, Regina Bull Tail.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Martinez of Lodge Grass; two sons, E. PLENTYWOOD - John A. Olson, 86, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

EMIGRANT - Thelma Compton, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at her home.

MILES CITY - Robert Daniel "Bob" Fisher, 80, died on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, at the Veteran's Nursing Home after losing the fight to multiple myeloma.
Prayer services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 19, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
