ANNA PETERS
BRIDGER — Anna Peters, 88, of Bridger died peacefully Friday, Dec. 10, 1999.
Anna was born to her loving parents, Christian and Julia Hatzenbeler on December 30, 1910 in Odense, N. Dak. Anna attended school in North Dakota, and in 1935 she was united in marriage to George Peters. As Anna and George built their lives together, they raised eleven children. Anna was a wonderful mother who stayed at home with her children, enjoyed the Catholic church, and could always be relied upon for a kind word. Anna enjoyed reading, gardening and her flowers. She was most happy being with her family. Our sweet little mom and granny will be missed so much by all her family. Her quiet kindness was a rewarding trait.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, George Peters; daughter, Irma Peters; and son, Andy Peters. She is survived by daughters Monica (Edgar) Reiner of Shepherd, Linda Feller of Bridger, Judith (Gordon) Wolff of Lyle, Wash., Arlene Polanco of Tigard, Ore., Rose Wiederien of Billings, and Alice (Pete) Hall of Bridger; sons George (Cathy) Peters of Columbus, Robert Peters and Albert Peters of Clark, Wyo.; sisters Bette Baretta of Rapid City, S. Dak., Cecelia Kilwine and Clara Watts of Renton, Wash.; brother Antone Hatzenbeler of Billings; 30 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

Viewing is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge. A Vigil service will be held the evening of Dec. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bridger. Funeral Mass will be the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rite of Committal following at the Bridger Cemetery.

EDWARD F. ALLINGTON
DOUGLAS, Wyo. — Funeral services for Edward F. (Ed) Allington, 62, were held Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 at the Glenrock Middle School Auditorium in Glenrock, Wyo., with Father Tom Johnson of the Christ Episcopal Church in Glenrock officiating. Interment was in the Glenrock Cemetery.
Mr. Allington died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999 at his home in Glenrock.

He was born April 19, 1937 in Red Lodge, the son of Floyd and Juanita (Cortner) Allington. He was reared and educated in Belfry. He worked at various ranching and mining jobs in Montana until 1957. He moved to Worland, Wyo. in 1957, and worked for Dale Weaver, Inc. as a welder until 1963. He was married to Sharin Morrison on Nov. 25, 1958 in Billings. They moved to Glenrock in June, 1963, where he worked for Thatcher and Sons, Inc. as a welder from 1963 to 1985. He then worked for the Rochelle Coal Company from June, 1987 until the time of his death. He was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church and was once a member of the Bishop's Committee of Christ Episcopal Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Sharin Allington, of Glenrock; his mother, Juanita Allington of Cody; two children, Cara and her husband Tom Bolinger of Douglas, Wyo. and Mark and wife Cindi Allington of Glenrock; five sisters, Betty and husband Lee Howard of Townsend, Kay and husband Ron Butler of Laurel, Karen Ridl of Billings, Cheryl and husband Bob Seely of Cody, and Bonnie and husband Rod Vetter of Joliet; two brothers, Kenny and his wife Doris Allington of Pavilion, Wyo. and Keith Allington of Idaho Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren, Heather, Lindsey, Christopher, Thomas, Casey, Nicholas, Hayley, Kassidy, and Madison; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd, and one sister, Molly Miller.

A memorial to the Ed Allington Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 2181, Glenrock, WY 82637 would be appreciated by the family.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Stephens, Danny Johnson, Bingo Marburger, George Kindt, Jerry Trottier, and Shane McCoy.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were members of the Ed's Welding Softball Team, as well as his many friends.

The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.

LOIS ANN SPERRY
BELFRY — Lois Ann Sperry, 82, of Belfry, died Sunday afternoon, Dec 12, 1999 in Cedar Wood Villa in Red Lodge.
Lois was born on May 30, 1917 in Forsyth. She was a daughter of David and Nora Wheeler.

On Sept. 16, 1983 she married Ron Sperry. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Bill Weed of Cody, Wyo.; one daughter, Linda Weed of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Jane Curtis of Safford, Ariz., and three grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard Weed, in 1976.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned in January, and will be announced at a later date. The Olcott Funeral Chapel of Red Lodge is in charge of arrangements.

BILL TEICHERT
BELFRY — William (Bill) Teichert, 91, of Belfry, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999 in Cedar Wood Villa in Red Lodge.
Bill was born on October 19, 1908 in Dietz, Wyo., a son of Carl and Lena Teichert. He was raised and educated in the Livingston area, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married Mary Hungerford, and they lived at Badger Basin and later in Williston, N. Dak. where Bill worked as a refinery operator. He retired from Westland Oil Company in 1973.

They retired to Farmington, New Mex., and later lived in Hamilton. Mrs. Teichert died in 1982, and Bill settled in Belfry in 1991.

He was a member of the Belfry Senior Citizens and the American Legion Belfry Post #84. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include one brother, Walter Teichert of Billings; three nieces, Rayola Fink of Las Vegas, Nev., Norma Boeh of Livingston, and Alberta Woods of Springdale; and three nephews, Robert Alkire of Springdale, Charlie Alkire of Big Timber, and Lyle Teichert of Billings.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Olcott Funeral Chapel. Cremation followed, and interment will be at a later date in Nevada City, Mont.

ANTONIA ALICE NORTHY
RICHLAND, Wash. — Antonia Northy, 83, passed away Dec. 1, 1999 at her home after a five-year battle with cancer.
Toni was born June 4, 1916 in Red Lodge, Mont., the daughter of Blaz and Mary (Grenko) Schneider. She grew up in Red Lodge and graduated from Carbon County High School in 1934. On April 20, 1936 she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas M. Northy, in Hardin, Mont. They made their home in Red Lodge until 1941 when they moved to Tacoma, Wash., and then to Richland in 1946. Beginning in 1951 and for the next 14 years she was employed as a secretary at the Hanford Energy Works. In 1965 she made a career change and began a course of study leading to a degree as a licensed practical nurse in 1967.

In her later years her greatest fulfillment came from the company of her granddaughters, her great-grandchildren and her three dogs, Laddie, Charlie and Ching.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1987 and her sister, Dorothy Collier.

Toni is survived by her son, Thomas, and his wife, Kathleen, of Richard; granddaughters Kimberly and her husband, Richard Stephens of Mount Horeb, Wis., and Kristina and her husband, Kim Boynton of Spokane; great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Elizabeth and Benjamin Stephens and Jessica and Emily Boynton; sisters, Vida Brown of Richland and Rose Danichek of Coleville; sisters-in-law Marjorie Boggio of Red Lodge, Joy Brandt of Powell, Wyo., Regina Haggerty of Orangeville, Calif., and Lillian Northy of Corning, Calif., and brother-in-law Bill Northy of Corning, Calif.

Cremation and inturnment have taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland. At her request, no services were held.

Those wishing to honor the memory of Toni may contribute to the charity of choice.

LEE RICHARDSON
FROMBERG — In a log cabin east of Fromberg on Two Bear Ridge, John “Lee” was born, the only child of Jeff and Lillie Richardson. The date was July 22, 1916, and Lee continued living there and later became a successful rancher and farmer.
Lee attended and graduated from the Fromberg Public School in 1935. After he started farming, he married Thelma Miller in 1944, and together they raised three children. On Dec. 24, 1999 Lee passed away at the Eagle Cliff Nursing Home in Billings.

Lee was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and had been an active Fromberg School Board member for many years. As a father, he taught honesty and virtue, not with words but by example. He truly enjoyed his life on the ranch. He loved the hills and was always catching and taming some little animal to raise as a pet. He loved being with his family and will definitely be missed by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at the United Methodist Church in Fromberg. Memorials may be made to Fromberg United Methodist Church or a charity of one’s choice. Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma; children, Terry Richardson of Red Lodge, Charlotte (Albert) Foos of Fromberg and Jason (Wanda) Richardson of Fromberg, and six grandchildren, Kristi and Brian Foos, and Lindsay, Courtney, Ashley and Jeffrey Richardson.

EVA JOSEPHINE BROWN
MILES CITY — Eva “Josephine” Brown, 85, of Miles City, formerly of Red Lodge, passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999 at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Josephine was born Jan. 24, 1914 in Bridger, the daughter of Clarence and Goldie (Gebo) Thompson. She moved to Red Lodge in 1919, where she graduated from high school in 1933. On Jan. 8, 1934, Josephine and George Brown were united in marriage in Big Timber. To this union, three children were born. Years later, Josephine went back to school and became an LPN. She worked in Red Lodge for ten years until retiring. They remained in Red Lodge until 1992, when they moved to Miles City.

She was the past president of the Eagles Auxiliary, and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star #32, of which she was a member for 50 years. Josephine enjoyed making afghans and crocheting. She made an afghan for every member of her family. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, George, of Miles City; two daughters, Nancy Larsen of Miles City and Shirley Burton and her husband, Glen, of Broadus; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27, 1999 in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City, with Rev. Robert Thaden, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Red Lodge Cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
