Joseph P. Stringari
BELFRY - Joseph P. Stringari, 92 of Red Lodge, died at Cedar Wood Villa on Friday, Oct. 29, 1999. Joe was born in Red Lodge the son of Liugie and Maria (Branz) Stringari on Dec. 8, 1906. He was raised and attended school in Fromberg.
Joe worked construction and helped build the Alaskan Highway. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Auxiliary of Belfry.
On July 22, 1933, Joe was united in marriage to LaDonna Dewell in Fromberg.
Joe "would rather fish than eat." He loved fishing and hunting in and around the Red Lodge area.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, LaDonna; two brothers, Louie of Belfry, and Francis of San Diego, Calif.; four sisters, Edith Bianchi and Susie Turner (Woodrow), both of San Diego, Virginia Conlee and Mary Novasio, both of Billings; four children; LaDonna Andersen (Wayne) of Laurel, Delores Lancaster (Doug) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Robert Stringari (Connie) of Powell, Wyo., Eugene Stringari (Althea) of Cody, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Vigil Service will be Monday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m., at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Red Lodge. Funeral Mass Tuesday, Nov. 2, 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Clark, Wyo. Interment, Belfry cemetery.

Laura E. Karlinsey
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Laura E. Karlinsey, 96, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Sheridan Manor.
Viewing will be Monday, Nov. 1, until 5:30 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 2, until service time, both at Ferries Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with interment in Sheridan Municipal cemetery.
Mary Elizabeth Bailey
Mary Elizabeth Bailey, 88, of Billings, formerly of Rosebud Creek, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings.
Mary was born Aug. 24, 1911, in Miles City, the daughter of James W. and Anna Elgin Nugent. She grew up and attended schools in Miles City, graduating from Custer County High School in 1929. Mary attended nurses training in Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City.
On Dec. 31, 1931, Mary married
James N. Bailey in Miles City. They ranched on Rosebud Creek between Lame Deer and Colstrip until 1998 when they moved to Billings.
Mary was a member of the St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Colstrip and served on the Rosebud County Hospital Board in the 1960s.
She is survived by her husband, Jim of Billings; two sons, Dr. James H. Bailey and his wife, Sharon of Great Falls, Don Bailey and wife, Connie of Rosebud Creek; her daughter, Mary Ann Lammers and husband, Duane of Corvallis, Ore.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Billings with interment to follow at 3 p.m. at the Lee cemetery on Rosebud Creek. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice. Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is in charge of the arrangements.
Bob Kipf
SUNDANCE, Wyo. - Bob Kipf, 84, formerly of Miles City, Mont., died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at the Crook County Nursing Home in Sundance.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, at the Grace Bible Church. Interment will follow in the Custer County cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge.
Agnes Mickus
MILES CITY - Agnes Mickus, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Custer County cemetery.

LAME DEER - Myra Faye Flying, 40, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in the IHS Clinic in Lame Deer.
Wake service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at the St. Labre Catholic Church near Ashland. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the church. Interment will be in the St. Labre cemetery. Rausch Funeral Home of Lame Deer is in charge.
Elizabeth F. Martin
CODY, Wyo. - Elizabeth F. Martin, 95, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at West Park Long Term Care Center.
Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at St. Anthony's with interment following in Riverside cemetery. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge.
John Bosman
SIDNEY - John Bosman, 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1999, at the Sidney Health Center.
At John's request, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge.
Earl Ellwein
SINDEY - Earl Ellwein, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at Friendship Villa, Miles City.

Hazel Schlenz
SIDNEY - Hazel Schlenz, 89, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at the Extended Care Facility.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the Pella Lutheran Church. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Dawson Memorial Park, Glendive. Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney is in charge.
Vivian Forman
Vivian Forman, 85, of Billings, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 29, 1999, at Western Manor. The daughter of Henry and Myra (Huntington) Forman, she was born and raised on a ranch on the Upper Clarks Fork.
Vivian moved to Billings in 1936. She worked in downtown Billings, first for Erb Drugstore, then for Montague Jewelers for 15 years, then for Dales Department Store until they went out of business.
To honor her wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Big Sky Hospice, P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107-5033. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.
Claudine Buckingham
CODY, Wyo. - Claudine Buckingham, age 89, of Cody, passed away on Dec. 29, 1999, at the Powell Nursing Home. Claudine Mitchum Buckingham was born on Feb. 5, 1910, in Riverton, the daughter of Claude Bell Mitchum and Julia Olga Doughty.
She lived her early life in Riverton. Her mother died at an early age and Claudine was raised by aunts and uncles. She also lived with the O.W. King family in Riverton for several years. She obtained her teaching degree from the University of Wyoming and taught in rural schools in Linwood, Utah; Dubois, Lander, Ishawooa School (near Cody) and Story, Wyo.
In Story, she met Curtis Buckingham, and they were married
in Hardin, Mont., on Jan. 7, 1939. Curtis and Claudine worked and lived on several ranches in the Buffalo, Sheridan, Douglas and Cody areas. In November 1957, they bought the D & C Texaco Service Station in Cody with their good friends, Dick and Pat Way. They operated the Texaco station until Curtis retired in June 1976. Claudine also did substitute teaching in the Cody Schools.
Her two grandsons were the joy of her life. Education, politics and her friends and family were very important to her. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Cody.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis, of Cody, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judi Buckingham of Powell and her two grandsons, Jeffrey and Scott Buckingham of Powell.
Elinor M. Aller
BIG TIMBER - Elinor Margaret Aller, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at the Pioneer Medical Center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Lowry Funeral Home is in charge.

BIG TIMBER - Ida Bartley of Deptford, N.J., and former longtime Big Timber resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999.

POWELL, Wyo. - Josephine E. McGrady, 81, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in the Powell Nursing Home.

Josephine T. Oakley
LIVINGSTON - Josephine T. "Jo" Oakley, 85, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, 118 N. 3rd St. in Livingston. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home is in charge.
Trinity Anne Etter
POWELL, Wyo. - Trinity Anne Etter, infant daughter of Kandace Anne Etter and Manuel G. Briseno, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, during delivery at the Powell Hospital.

Malvina Janette Emerson Blackburn
Malvina Janette Emerson Blackburn died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999. at West Park Village. Janette was born March 1, 1908, in New London, Ohio, to Dollie Vere Cunningham and Guy Parker Emerson.
She attended elementary school in New London and graduated from Alpena (Mich.) High School. She moved to Alpena with her parents and sister Isabel when her father, along with his brothers-in-law, established the Alpena Garment Co. Janette graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. degree in journalism in 1930. After graduation5 she worked for the C.E. Ward Co. in New London and Halle Bros. Co. in Cleveland.
Janette married
Alan Russell Blackburn Jr. on Nov. 26, 1937, at the Little Church Around The Corner in New York City. They lived in New York City prior to World War 11. During the war, they resided in Avon, Conn., where Alan directed an army rehabilitation program for blind soldiers. Following the war, they established a home in Bay Village, Ohio, until Alan's retirement in 1971, when they moved to Billings.
Janette was a member of the United Methodist Church from her youth. She served as a volunteer for the Association for the Retarded in Cleveland for 17 years and was a past associate of the Yellowstone Art Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Isabel Emerson Shipman, and her brother-in-law, William Dick Shipman.
She is survived by her niece Shirley Steele and family, including her husband Ben, son Sean, and daughters Rosemarie Steele and Julie Jorgenson; and cousins in Ohio and Michigan.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at West Park Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice. Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist has charge of arrangements.
Emma Low (Hobson) Hulse
COLUMBUS - Emma Lou (Hobson) Hulse, 89, was born Dec. 22, 1912, in Holliay, Mo., to Louis Howder Hobson and May Belle (McDowell) Hobson. In 1919, they moved to Thermopolis, Wyo., where she lived on Owl Creek and attended school. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1929 and attended Chadron (Neb.) Teachers College the following year.
She began teaching school at Owl Creek at age 17 and continued teaching until she retired in 1973. Emma Low loved teaching and throughout her career touched many lives. During several summers, she attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with honors in 1961.
Emma Lou married
Herbert Stiles Hulse on Dec. 3, 1932. Their only daughter, Mary Iris Hulse, was born in 1939. Emma Lou joined Herb on their ranch in Bridger in 1973 when she retired from teaching. In 1975, they sold the ranch and bought a home outside Columbus where they resided for the rest of their lives. Emma Lou lost her beloved Herb Nov. 1, 1989, after 57 happy years together.
Emma Lou was always active in her church and taught Sunday School for many years. The Lord called her home on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. She died peacefully in her home in Columbus. She lived a rich, full life and has gone to join her husband in heaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis H. and May Belle Hobson, her brothers, Wallace and Jake Hobson, and her husband, Herb Hulse.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Iris Hulse, her granddaughter Penny (Kenny) Flack, her grandsons, Danny (Sally) Barham and Dusty (Kathi) Barham, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday morning at Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis, Wyo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at the funeral home.
