Delbert D. Casey
GLENDIVE - Delbert D. Casey, age 75, of Glendive, died on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive.
Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Joseph Ponessa officiating. Rite of Committal will be at the Dawson Memorial cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Delbert was born on Jan. 12, 1924, at home south of Wibaux, the son of Charles William and Susan Matilda (Beeler) Casey. He was raised and educated in Wibaux, attending rural Wibaux County schools. He entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in August of 1944 and served during World War II.
Following his discharge in November of 1946, he returned to the Glendive area. He married Helen Mary Barthel on June 2, 1948, in Wibaux. Delbert had worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as an electrician. He had also worked for area farmers and ranchers. They moved to Glendive in 1951, then to Livingston for three years, returning to Glendive in 1960 where they have resided since.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of Glendive; four sons, Duane Casey and his wife, Lorna of North Richland Hills, Texas; Ron Casey and his wife, Sandy of Helena; Bob Casey of Glendive; John Casey and his wife, Cheryl of Glendive; eight daughters, Debra Odell and her husband, Marshal of Missoula; Geralyn Alarcon and her husband, Jeff of Sandpoint, Idaho; Joan Brown and her husband, Alan of Kinsey; Marie McPherson and her husband, Randy of Havre; Sharon Cunningham and her husband, Denia of Havre; Sandra Steele and her husband, Paul of Wilson, Okla.; Cheryl Allen and her husband, Jeff of Glendive; and Darlene Bacon and her husband, John of Killdeer, N.D.; one brother, Charles Casey and his wife, Judy of Glendive; three sisters, Fern Austby and her husband, Ray of Marmarth, N.D.; Mert Schlautmann and her husband, Louie of South Heart, N.D.; and Catherine Casey of South Heart; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Francis Stewart Jr.
WYOLA - Francis Stewart, 86, great-grandson of Mitch Boyer, a Custer scout, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, in the St. Vincent Hospital.
He was born Oct. 18, 1913, near Garryowen, a son of Francis Stewart Sr. and Mary Little Nest. He was raised by Walter Jack Rabbit and the Little Nest family aunts and uncles and attended schools in Wyola. He later attended an agriculture school in Bozeman.
Francis married Cerise Hogan in November of 1933 in Crow Agency, and the couple made their home in the Wyola area. During World War II, he worked in the Tacoma shipyards and following the War, he worked in Anaconda, before returning to the Crow Reservation. Francis worked for the BIA roads department, assisting with the building of the Little Horn road. He later began work for the Crow Tribe, serving 22 years as a Tribal Game Warden.
During his younger years, he enjoyed rodeos, particularly roping events, many of which he won. At the Crow Fair, he was a top jockey, winning several Crow relay races and several War Dance championships.
Francis was a keeper of the Sacred Medicine Bundle and Sacred Medicine Pipe. He was a member of the Catholic Church, Native American Church, Night Hawk Society, Beaver Society, Bad War Deeds Clan and a child of the Ties the Bundle Clan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Walter; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Cerise of Wyola; two sons, Marvin (Luanna) and Thomas Stewart of Lodge Grass; David Plenty Hoops Jr., Kerry (Janice) and Joshua Stewart of Spearsiding, whom he raised as his sons; Shannon (Sarge) He Does It of Lodge Grass, whom he raised as a daughter; an adopted son, Howard Roloff of Canada; three brothers, David (Adelia), Donald and Reuben (Elizabeth) Stewart of Crow Agency; five sisters, Wilma (Lawrence) Stands of Pryor, Pricilla Gardner and Beverely (Tommy) Pretty on Top of Crow Agency, Terry Edgar of Wyoming and Irene Poolaw of Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well members of the Little Nest family.
Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Friday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lodge Grass Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Lodge Grass cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Marguerite 'Marge' Ugrin
MILES CITY - Marguerite "Marge" Ugrin, age 75, of Miles City, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Marge was born on Nov. 22, 1923, in Fort Collins, Colo., the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Butz. She attended grade school and high school in Billings. Marge worked in Billings until her marriage to Clarence "Sig" Ugrin on May 15, 1943, in Billings. In 1951 they moved to Miles City where they owned and operated the Miles City Aero Service. They retired in 1995 and have remained in Miles City ever since.
Marge was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to cook, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Sig of Miles City; a son, Greg Ugrin and his wife, Kathy of Dickinson, N.D.; two daughters: Pamela Ugrin of Petaluma, Calif., and Nancy Bond and her husband, David of Missoula; a daughter-in-law, Linda Ugrin of Miles City; a sister, Dorothy Day and her husband, Louie of Sheridan; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Irvine Butz; and a son, Joe.
Vigil services will be held on Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Gil Hemauer-Capuchin celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow in the family lot in the Custer County cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City.

Lilliah Milne
SIDNEY - Lilliah Milne, 91, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel with interment in the Sidney cemetery.

Francis J. 'Frank' Rau
LEWISTOWN - Francis J. "Frank" Rau, 74, of Lewistown, died Tuesday afternoon in St. Vincent Hospital in Billings of natural causes.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen of Lewistown; seven sons: J. Patrick of Westwood, Calif., Martin P. of Huson, Gregory M. of Bozeman, Thomas F., Daniel V., Michael J. and Steve, all of Lewistown; five daughters: Mary Anne Rekimowich of Streamstown, Alberta, Canada, Louise Rea of Lewistown, Elizabeth R. Langford and Ellen G. Lippert, both of Billings, and Michelle Hartman of Lewistown; two sisters: Helen C. Rau of Lewistown and Mary T. Rau of Lawrence, Kan.; 31 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Liturgy for Frank Rau will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church. Vigil Services to be Thursday at 7 p.m. in St. Leo's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may make memorials to the Central Montana Foundation and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.

Mike Johnson
FORT PECK - Mike Johnson, 41, of Fort Peck, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Nashua School in Nashua. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge.

Bennie 'Buster' O'Leary
CASPER, Wyo. - Bennie Lee "Buster" O'Leary, 87, formerly of Thermopolis, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Life Care Center.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at St. Francis Catholic Church with interment in Monument Hill cemetery, both in Thermopolis.

William H. Burnett Jr.
POWELL, Wyo. - William Harrison Burnett Jr., 69, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at First United Methodist Church with interment in the Crown Hill cemetery. Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home is in charge.

Shirley K. Bohne
GREAT FALLS - Shirley Kathleen Bohne, 81, formerly of Livingston, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Park Place Health Care Center.
Cremation has taken place. Family graveside committal services and interment of the cremated remains will take place in Mountain View cemetery. Franzen-Davis Crematory of Livingston was in charge.

Anne Lawver
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Anne Lawyer, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas.
She was born May 15, 1922, in Chicago and settled in Laurel, Mont., in 1952. She worked at Skyview Terrace in Billings as a cashier for 17 years.
In 1990, she moved to Las Vegas where she worked at Collegiate Graphics for seven years before retiring because of ill health.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1963.
She is survived by her children, Carol (Ira) Bungard of Las Vegas, Daniel (Anna) Lawyer of Omak, Wash., and Leonard (Peggy) Lawyer of Laurel; a brother, Frank Perry of Texas; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
"Bless you, Anne Lawver. God's speed, " said a statement from the family.
Memorial services will be at First Baptist Church in Laurel at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22. Interment will follow at Little Bighorn Battlefield.

Robert A. Trollinger
CODY, Wyo. - Robert A. "Rob" Trollinger, 37, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Grace Baptist Church with interment in Riverside cemetery. Ballard Funeral Home is in charge.

Laura Rath
TERRY - Laura Rath, 83, of Terry, died Monday, Nov.15, 1999, at the Friendship Villa Care Center in Miles City.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with interment in the Prairie County cemetery.

Jack M. Brooks
MILES CITY - Jack M. Brooks, 64, formerly of Cohagen, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at his home.
Visitation will be 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Cohagen cemetery.

Jacque Hostman
MILES CITY - Jacque Hostman, 44, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the Holy Rosary Hospital.
A prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in the Chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Chapel with interment in the family lot in the Custer County cemetery.

William M. Deming
FAIRVIEW - William M. Deming, 84, of Fairview, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at the Sidney Health Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel in Sidney with cremation to follow. Interment will be at a later date in the Fairview cemetery.

Kathy Drinkwalter
Kathy Drinkwalter, 55 of Billings, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in Denver after a short illness. The daughter of Donald and Stella (Howell) Tracy, she was born March 18, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Kathy was raised and educated in Salt Lake City. She lived in Missoula for several years before moving to Billings in 1981. In 1983, she married Ray Drinkwalter, whom preceded her in death in May of 1999. Kathy loved gardening and horses. In addition to her husband Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Survivors include her three children, Floyd J. Young and his wife, Jackie of Denver, Mary K. Young of Chicago, and Tracy L. Bauer and her husband, Greg of Baraboo, Wis.; her brother, Donald E. Tracy and his wife, Annette of Simi Valley, Calif.; her grandchildren, Gusi Lynn, Patrick, and Katie Young, and Whitney and Nicholas Bauer; and one niece.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Michelotti, Sawyers & Nordquist, 1001 Alderson Ave. Memorials may be directed to ZooMontana Sensory Garden, 2100 S. Shiloh Rd., Billings, MT 59106.

Col. Rodney B. Gilbertson
BOZEMAN - Col. Rodney B. Gilbertson (Ret.), 70, of Bozeman, passed away Nov. 13, 1999. He was born July 15, 1929, in Walla Walla, Wash., the son of Clarence Wiley and Mable Jane (Crosno) Gilbertson.
Rod grew up and graduated from high school in Walla Walla. He attended Washington State University and was accepted to West Point in 1948.
Rod served in combat duty in Korea and Vietnam.
He married Joan Clague on June 5, 1951, in West Point, N.Y.
He retired from the Army in 1975. Following his retirement, he purchased the Mountain View Motel (Blue Sky Motel); after selling the motel they purchased High Country Donut Shop. Rod and Joan sold the business in 1980.
After his military career, Rod enjoyed a simpler life, hunting and fishing with his dog, reading at his cabin and building his model railroad.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of Bozeman; son, Michael Gilbertson of Shoreline, Wash.; daughter, Kathleen Stimpfle (Mark) of Spokane, Wash.; son, David Gilbertson (Deb Black) of Fromberg; daughter, Kristine Williams (Eric) of Spokane; sister, Diane Clark (Don) of Livermore, Calif.; four grandchildren, Alexis and Max Stimpfle, Abigail and Joe Williams; and nieces, Roxanne Garbez (Paul) of Modesto, Calif., Suzanne Farlin (Mark) of Moraga, Calif., and Shannan Dunleavy (John) of Redwood City, Calif.
Cremation took place. A memorial service was held at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made in his name to The American Lung Assn. of Montana, 825 Helena Ave., Helena, MT 59601.
