TOM COURTIS
LUTHER — Tom Courtis, long-time resident of Carbon County, died peacefully at his home outside of Luther on Friday, Sept. 8, 2000. He was 92.
He wanted all of his friends and neighbors to know that he really enjoyed and appreciated their friendship and help over the years. He felt that the 32 years he lived in the Luther-Red Lodge area were the best of his life.
He departed on his final journey across the Great Divide with his characteristic optimism and positive outlook. He was confident that he would join family and friends who had preceded him.
Mary, his wife of 62 years, will continue to live in their home outside of Luther.
It was Tom’s wish to be cremated. Because he did not want to inconvenience his friends and neighbors, there will be no funeral or memorial service. However, let us all remember the good times we shared with him.
Tom and his family want to express their appreciation to Dr. Hauxwell of the Red Lodge Clinic and the compassionate Hospice staff at the Beartooth Hospital and Health Center for their excellent care and support.
