Paul R. Clark
RED LODGE - Paul R. Clark, 84, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at Beartooth Hospital and Health Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Dahl Funeral Chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Ruth Ann (Hutton) Foulkes
JANESVILLE, Wis. - Ruth Ann (Hutton) Foulkes, age 55, of 4425 N. Forest Hills Blvd., died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Mercy Hospital. She was born April 10, 1944, in Billings, the daughter of George and Ruth (Russell) Hutton.
She married
David Foulkes, Dec. 9, 1965, in Chicago. Ann attended the University of Oregon and was a flight attendant for United Airlines, retiring in 1989. She also worked as a pastry chef at Janesville's King's Pub for two years.
Ann, who moved to Janesville in 1970, was active in her community. She served as Monroe school MOPT president for two years, establishing its Elementary School's first Grandparents Day. Ann was a Brownie troop loader and a Salvation Army volunteer, as well as a Cargill United Methodist Church member.
She is survived by her husband, David Foulkes of Janesville; two daughters, Lori (Mark) Thorne of Chanhassen, Minn., and Amy Foulkes of St. Paul, Minn.; a granddaughter, Alyssa Thorne; a sister, Jane (Bill) Pryor of Billings; a niece, Tracy Koch of Billings; and a nephew, Davey Koch of Reno, Nev. Ann was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 1999, at Cargill United Methodist Church, Janesville, with the Rev. J.D. McCarty officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville, Wis. (608) 754-4444. Memorials can be made to either the American Cancer Society or to Janesville's Rotary Gardens.

She made new friends wherever she went and had the wonderful ability to help people simply by what she said.
Ann enjoyed cooking, traveling and playing bridge. She will be remembered for
her kind spirit, friendliness and sense of humor.

those who love her."
Tanya L. Greeno
Tanya L. Greeno passed away Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Born April 5, 1969, she graduated from Billings Senior High in 1987 and continued her education at MSU-B. She achieved her lifelong dream to go to Russia and received her degree in language from the St. Petersburg University at St. Petersburg, Russia.
Tanya had many talents - musician, artist and writer - and was fluent in the Russian language.
Tanya is survived by her mother, Carol L. Greeno, aunts, uncles and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hankel, and her grandparents.
Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Thursday in Riverfront Park (on the left side).
Elizabeth Hugs
YELLOWTAIL - Elizabeth Hugs, 74, of Yellowtail, passed away Monday, July 19, 1999, in the St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Black Lodge, a daughter of Becker and Nancy Pretty Paint Little Light. She grew up on the Crow Reservation and attended schools in Hardin, St. Xavier and Pierre, S.D. She later attended Eastern Montana College.
Elizabeth married
Oliver Hugs Sr. on Nov. 14, 1954, in Hardin and the couple made their home near Fort Smith. Mr. Hugs died in 1991.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Big Lodge Clan and a child of the Whistling Water Clan.
Elizabeth worked as an instructor for the Head Start Program and the Pretty Eagle Bilingual Program. She was currently serving as a cook for the Fort Smith Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis Hugs and Orville Little Light; three sisters, Dorinda Westbrook, Renee Melendrez, Rosie Takes Gun; and three brothers, Warren Bear Cloud, Becker and Gerald Little Light Sr.
Survivors include five sons, Eddie (Annabelle) Little Light III of Crow Agency, Leland (Lorraine) Hugs Sr. of Benteen, Frank (Bernice) Hugs Sr. of Lodge Grass, William (Julie) Hugs Sr. of Hardin and Harvey (Cynthia) Hugs of Hysham; three daughters, Samantha (Curtis) Rides Horse, Linda and Sherri Hugs of Fort Smith; a sister, Audrey Deputee of the Wolf Mountain; an adopted daughter, Barbara Suteer of Colorado; 41 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by eight children whom she raised as her own, Mark, Renee and Tammi Little Light, Harry Bull Shows, Wesley Hugs, Mavina Rides Horse, Lex Real Bird and Marcella Deputee. She was a mother to Dennis (Rebecca) Buffalo, Pearl (Larry) Tobacco, Gary Buffalo, Calvin and Cyrus Leider and Raymond Pisano.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Crow Agency cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Orval Dean Meyer
HELENA - Orval Dean Meyer, age 54, of Helena, died July 16, 1999, in Seattle, from severe burns sustained during a natural gas explosion.
Orval was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Mott, N.D., to Gottlieb and Cecelia Meyer. Orval attended prep school at Little Flower in Billings; high school at Billings Central which he graduated from in May 1962; and college at University of Montana, Missoula where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in June 1970. Time was also spent in the Army at Fort Ord in California. In 1989, Orval married
Becky Montez in Billings.
At the time of his death, Orval was the operations manager for the Dial-a-Ride bus in Helena where he had been employed for 15 years. Prior to working at Dial-a-Ride, Orval worked for Special Transportation in Billings.
Orval very much enjoyed writing, poetry, golf and sports.
Preceding Orval in death is his father, Gottlieb.
Survivors include his wife, Becky of Helena; mother, Cecelia Meyer of Butte; stepsons, Gerard Bonilla of Billings, Edward Bonilla of Portland, Ore., and Rodney Bonilla of Marathon, Fla.; sisters, Elvera (Jim) Burgess of Butte and Loyola (Dick) McMahon of Sutherlin, Ore.; and seven step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 1999, 10 a.m. at the Civic Center Auditorium, Helena. Interment will be at a later date at Holy Cross cemetery in Billings.

Dennis Dwayne Sallee
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Dennis Dwayne Sallee, 51, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at his home.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at Kane Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in the Willow Creek cemetery, Willow Creek, Mont.
John Schleinger
John Schleinger, age 36, passed away Monday, July 19, 1999, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
John was born Feb. 23, 1963, to Stub and Lila Schleinger. He was raised and educated in the Billings area. John was a very artistic and talented man. He was an excellent guitar player and he loved music. John enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, being in the outdoors, water skiing, boating, fishing, and he was a Sony Playstation fanatic. John spent many hours playing these games with his mom.
John was a skilled boat mechanic and took great pride and pleasure in his work. He had the ability to make even the oldest boats shine like new and ready to race. His friendship and creativity will be greatly missed.
John is survived by: his parents, Stub and Lila; a son, John Matthew; his brother, Larry; and his sister and nephew, Leslie and Kevin; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation has already taken place. There will be a gathering of friends and relatives at his parents' home on Saturday, July 24, 1999, at 1 p.m.

Agnes VanOosten
LIVINGSTON - Agnes VanOosten, 96, of Livingston, passed away Monday, July 19, 1999, at the Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Agnes was born Sept. 6, 1902, in Chicago, to Nicholas and Nellie VanOosten. She was the youngest of seven children.
Agnes moved to Montana in 1917 with her mother, father and brother, Art, where the family farmed north of Reed Point.
Agnes taught school for many years. Her first teaching position was at Keyser Creek School, north of Columbus. She then taught in Fort Benton and Great Falls before moving to Livingston in 1942. Agnes taught in Livingston until her retirement in 1967.
After retiring, Agnes spent many enjoyable hours in her yard and garden tending her beautiful flowers. Agnes loved her home, loved to cook and she shared her talents with friends and neighbors.
Agnes was never without a dog. She had a great love of animals, dogs most of all. Wherever Agnes went "Buttons" her faithful Schnauzer was at her side.
Agnes is survived by her brother, Art VanOosten; nephews, Gene and Wendy VanOosten, Robert and Charlotte VanOosten; grandnephew, Michael VanOosten, and grandnieces, Rebecca and Ashley VanOosten, all of Reed Point.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John and Nick VanOosten; and her sisters, Jennie De Young, Gertie Venstra, and Gertrude Miller.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 1999, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Columbus. Interment will take place at Mountainview cemetery in Columbus. Memorials are suggested to: Livingston Memorial Hospital or Special K Ranch.
Frances Robbins Abel
Frances Robbins Abel, 71, of Billings, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 17, 1999, of natural causes. She was born April 17, 1928, in Columbus, the daughter of Everette and Gladys Jones Robbins. She married
Norman Peterson and bore four children, Sharon (Ron) Stein, Karen "Katee" Peterson, Rick (Val) Peterson, and Darlene Peterson. Frances married
Alvin "Doug" Kirk after Norman's passing and became a loving stepmother and friend to Tom and Sally Kirk.
On Dec. 17, 1983, she married
Al Abel. They made their home in Lockwood, spending many years gardening and building a beautiful home together.
Mom was a special friend to all and will be loved and remembered by all who knew her. She baked the world's greatest homemade breads, buns, and cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed working in her garden, planting flowers each spring and watching them grow. Mom also enjoyed the 4th of July and holidays. Her favorite song was "One Day at a Time."
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ardith; and brother, Glenn. She is survived by her husband, Al; a sister, Darlene (Joe) Cash of Molt; four children; grandchildren, Michele (Mark) Baker, Christie (Steve) Seideman, Brian (Karen) Meier, Kristofer Meier, Jamie (Rachel) Meier, Cory (April) Peterson, and Jamel Scott; 10 great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Alyssa, Corrie, Mercedes, Hunter, Justin, Claytan, Sierra, Austin, Kyle, and is expecting another grandchild and great-grandchild this summer.
Mom, you will be forever in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. From one life we now are two, but we are joined through love with you. The bond allows us to share, to hope, to dream, to always care. Through life's many paths of failure and success, together we have found happiness. In this life there is no other who we can love like you, our dear mother.
Cremation has taken place and no memorial is planned. Arrangements were made by Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

GLASGOW - Marian Allie, 75, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at her home of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at the First Lutheran Church with interment at Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

LIVINGSTON - Bernice C. Altimus, 54, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at her home.

Patricia Anne Brown
CODY, Wyo. - Patricia Anne Ingram Brown, 68, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at her home.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Ballard Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cody Stake Center, with interment in Riverside cemetery.
L. Mildred Burdge
L. Mildred "Suzy" Burdge, 81, of Billings, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born Sept. 10, 1917, the daughter of Oren L. and Laura Belle Cunningham Van Koten in Graceville. She attended schools in Great Falls where she graduated in 1935 from Senior High. She married
Raymond E. Burdge on Aug. 30, 1940, in Great Falls.
They moved to Billings in 1947 after Ray's honorable discharge. She was a member of the First Christian Church, past president of the Miles Avenue P.T.A., past Matron of Billings Friendship Chapter, No. 124, past Mother Advisor and Princess Recorder for Bath Zabbia Temple No. 21 for 24 years. She was employed by Robert C. Balsam, oil broker, for 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Barbara. Survivors include her husband, Raymond, son, Bill (Jolene) of Billings; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, 9-5 and 6-8 p.m. with family and Thursday 9-2 p.m. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cremation or Funeral Gallery, 8th St. W. and St. John's. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made in her memory to First Christian Church, 522 N. 29th St., Billings, MT 59101 or the New Life Assembly, 3950 Temple Place, Billings, MT 59102. Richard D. Clark
Richard D. Clark, 60, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in Billings of natural causes. He was born June 24, 1939, in Billings, the son of L. D. "Bud" and Lena Helfrich Clark.
Survivors include three sisters, Carol (Ken) Brown of Billings, Clara Clark of Colfax, Calif., and Mary (Duwayne) Wells of Hutchinson, Kan.; three brothers, Lloyd, Lee, and Bob (Linda) Clark of Billings. Dick is also survived by his brother-in-law and best buddy, Jake Sauter. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Sauter; and brother, Ray Clark.
Memorial is 5 p.m. Saturday at 711 Birch Lane, No. 7. Cremation or Funeral handled arrangements.
