Dolly Casagranda, 97
Gladys ``Dolly" Casagranda died Tuesday at St. James Healthcare.
She was born Oct. 14, 1904, in Butte to John and Nora Scott. She attended the Longfellow school and Butte Business College. She worked as a secretary to Pat and Bill Gaegon until her retirement. She has resided at Butte Convalescent Center.
Dolly married Guido Casagranda in Butte, Oct. 20, 1925. Guido died April 23, 1979. She is also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Henry Scott and John Scott, and sisters, Mary Burkard, Annie Thomas and Josephine Dougherty. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Louise Casagranda of Butte, Clyde and Anna Casagranda of Townsend; grandchildren, Andy Casagranda, Glen Casagranda, Norman Casagranda, Gary Casagranda, Nancy Bossard, Judy Lobb, Rita Weightman, Bob Casagranda and Joe Casagranda.
She enjoyed time spent with her family. She also enjoyed rock hunting and fishing.

Relatives and friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday in Duggan Dolan Mortuary, with Parish Vigil Services following at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services are at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the mortuary. Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials: charity of donor's choice.

Mabel Worth, 86
Mabel Worth died Monday evening at St. James Healthcare.
She was born in Butte on Oct. 19, 1915, to James and Beatrice (Martin) Bennetts. She received her education in Butte schools.
She was a member of the PTA for many years, the First Presbyterian Church, and she enjoyed crocheting, reading and her miniature doll house.
She married Albert Worth in Butte in 1937. He died in 1975. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ethel Whisner, Evelyn Nigg, Betty Edwards and Dorothy Tregidga, and by her brother, Bill Bennetts.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ross Beecher and Judy and Bernie Shelton, all of Butte, Donna Worth, Whitehall; son and daughter-in-law, Albert ``Bud" and Lydia Worth, Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Theresa Voss, Sandra Riley, Joel `` Jeb" Beecher, David Shelton, Michael Shelton, Larry Shelton, Philip Shelton, Ben Worth and Julie Potter; great-grandchildren, Kandi Voss, Shawn Voss, Colin Riley, Raven Shelton and Haley Ann Potter; sister and brother-in law, Grace and Gus Schreiber, Dillon; sister, Sylvia Bennetts, Butte; broth er and sister-in-law, Leo and Su Bennetts, Butte.
Her remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home where no wake or visitation is planned. Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Friday, and join the family for funeral services at 11 a.m., the Rev. Lanny Rounds officiating. Interment: Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorials: John Gregory Library, Box 659, Whitehall 59759, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to charity of the donor's choice.

Catherine Lee, 88
Catherine Marie Lee died Wednesday in Spokane.
She was born in Butte Sept. 25, 1913, and married Hugh Lee in 1937. She retired from the Butte School District in the 1980s and moved to Spokane in 1995.
Catherine is survived by her son, Robert Lee and wife Judy of Spokane; daughter, Catherine Hauger of Spokane and Richard Hauger of Wisconsin; grand children, Jodi and Dean, Jeff, Leanne and Jerry, Kristen and Henk, Janice, Jeff and Mimi, Todd and Jill; great-grandchildren Tate and Hailee, Corey and Katie, Courtney and Bryan, and Drew and Derek; sister, Mary Bureson of Arizona; sister-in-law, Alice Sustarsic and husband Ludie; and numerous other relatives and friends who gave her lots of tender loving care.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh in 1958; grandson, Austin Lee; sister, Marg Brennan; brothers, Connie Boyle, James Boyle, Tom Boyle, Ed Boyle, John Boyle, and longtime companion John Kremer.
Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte in the spring of 2002. Memorials: Our Lady of the Rockies or to hospice.
Spokane Cremation and Burial Service handled arrangements.

Jack Frost Sr.
Jack N. Frost Sr. died Friday in Crest Nursing Home in Butte.
He received his education in Oregon. Jack served in the Army during World War II. He then returned to Newport, Ore., and worked for the county road department until he retired. After his retirement he lived in Nevada, Idaho and Wyoming before coming to Butte in 1997 to be near his family. He loved to fish and go camping.
Jack is survived by his son, Jack Nelson Frost Jr. of Sparks, Nev.; stepdaughters, Sunnie Collins of Butte, Sally Bunger of Tucson, Ariz., Charlene Fredrick of Vancouver, Wash., Marlene Baker of Carlin Nev., Toni Babcock and Loni Driller, both of Coeur d'Alene, Michelle Hedgecok of Mount Lake Terrace, Wash., Rosalie Bramsen of Moses Lake, Wash.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Gerald Ohde, 54
Gerald ``Goofy" Ohde died at this home.
He was born in Maple Lake, Minn., on Jan. 14, 1948, and attended school there. Upon graduation he joined the Marine Corps from which he was honorably discharged and was very proud of his service record, which included service in Vietnam.
Upon completing military duties, he returned to Minnesota where he worked in foundries for several years before moving to Bullhead City, Ariz., where he was injured and went on disability.
Ohde loved to travel, but after visiting the Mining City, he fell in love with Butte and called Butte home. Ohde met Marian Graber and fell in love again, and they were wed in 1991.
Ohde loved people, animals and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marian in November 2001, parents, and a twin sister in Minnesota.
He will always be loved and remembered by everyone who knew him, especially Barry Du Bois, Ed ``Doc" Du Bois, Clancy Du Bois, Walter Carl and his many close friends.
`` May God bless him forever."
Burial services were in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Irene Grosso, 83
Irene Johnson Wheeler Grosso died Wednesday in Belle Fourche, S.D., where she had been in a nursing home for the past four-and- a-half years as the result of a stroke.
She was born to George and Barbara Ann Johnson in Sheridan, Wyo., on Dec. 12, 1919. Her family later moved to Meeker, Colo., where she grew up and attended school. She married Charles L. Wheeler in 1933, and they made their home in Butte in 1945. They were married for 37 years before he died in 1971. She later married Bert Grosso, and they were together for 15 years before he died in 1993.
Irene loved her family dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Isabel and George Yates of Butte and Suzanne and Dennis Koski of St. Onge, S.D.; brother, George Lewis Johnson of Davenport, Iowa; 17 wonderful grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by a daughter and son; two grandsons; one granddaughter; one sister; and four brothers.
She would always welcome her family and friends with warmth and love and a sparkling smile. She was also dedicated to her faith and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be sadly missed.
Her remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home, where friends may call beginning at 5 p.m. Friday. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home under the auspices of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Catherine Murphy, 82
Catherine Theresa Murphy, died Thursday evening in Community Nursing Home.
She was born in Livingston on Sept. 18, 1917, to John and Wilhelmine (Drescher) Hickson. She was the last of four children born to this couple. Her father died of Spanish Influenza when Catherine was barely two. Her remaining family moved to Anaconda to be near family. Her mother married Joe Thiefenthaler and together they had three children. Her stepfather was a postal ser vice worker and her mother was a homemaker.
After graduating from high school in Anaconda, she attended Montana Normal School in Dillon. She taught all eight grades at Southern Cross School for one year.
At this time she married P.J. Murphy and remained his wife until his death in 1980. They had three children. In 1959, they purchased a small grocery store they called P.J.'s Market. She ran the store until she retired in 1988.
Patrick J. Murphy, her old est son, resides in Seattle. Maureen Howes, her daughter, married Al Howes and has a son, James Howes, all of whom live in Seattle. Son Jerry Murphy is married to Carol Murphy and they have one son, Connor Murphy. All three live in Anchorage, Alaska.
Friends may call to pay their respects in the Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home beginning today (Monday) at 4 p.m. The Parish Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will begin in the Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Peter Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
