GREAT FALLS - Ashley M. Fenner, age 13, passed away Jan. 20, 1999, at her home of cancer.
A vigil service will be 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at the O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Cremation will take place.

Mozelle Holt
LOVELL, Wyo. - Mozelle Holt, 91, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at North Big Horn Hospital.
Cremation has taken place and at her request, no services are planned. Haskell Funeral Home was in charge.
Barbra Jeanine Pertile
RED LODGE - Barbra Jeanine Pertile, of Red Lodge, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Her strength was an inspiration to family and friends. Barbra was born to LeRoy and Beverly Kenley Breeding on Jan. 18, 1959, and spent most of her childhood in Roundup. She was married
to Ken Pertile.
Barb's greatest love was her three children. She also loved her family, friends, animals, the outdoors, and attending her children's sporting events. She was a member of the Red Lodge Boosters Club, St. Agnes Church, and attended the Cum Christo weekend November 1998. Barb lived in Red Lodge for 17 years. At the time of her death, she was employed at the Beartooth IGA.
Barb is survived by three children: Jeff (Annette) Pertile of Gillette, Wyo., Joe Pertile, who attends MSU in Bozeman, and Angela Pertile of the family home; and a grandson, Kyler Pertile of Gillette. She is also survived by her mother, Beverly Breeding of Roundup; one sister, Kathy (Bruce) Goodwin of Kemmerer, Wyo.; three brothers, David Breeding, James (Julie) Breeding, both of Roundup, and Robert (Chris) Breeding of Billings; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Barbra was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy, and her grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at St. Agnes Church, Red Lodge, Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999, at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Memorials can be made to St. Agnes Church, P.O. Box 1059, Red Lodge, Mont. Arrangements by Dahl Funeral Chapel.
Arthur Lee Smith
BASIN, Wyo. - Arthur Lee Smith, 80, of Basin, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at the Washakie Memorial Hospital in Worland.
Memorial funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Atwood Family Chapel with interment of cremated remains in the Mount View cemetery.
Warren E. Eads
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Warren E. Eads, 80, died Friday, May 28, 1999, after a long illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at the Kane Funeral Home with interment following in the Sheridan Elks cemetery.
Mary Hofferber Hartung
Mary Hofferber Hartung passed away at her home in Billings on Friday, May 28, 1999 at the age of 90.
Mary was born in Dittle, Russia, on Feb. 2, 1909, and while still an infant immigrated to the United States with her parents, Fred and Mary (Foos) Batt. Initially in Rocky Ford, Colo., the family moved to a homestead near Worden where she grew up and received her education.
On Feb. 10, 1926 she married
Fred Hofferber in Ballantine and together they farmed near Worden and began their family, later moving to Shepherd where along with their farm they owned and operated a dairy. Mr. Hofferber died on Christmas day, 1950. Mary later married
Alex Hartung in Billings and she was employed as a custodian with the Billings school system. She loved dancing and was a member of the OAKS.
Survivors include her son, Ed Hofferber of Boise, Idaho; three daughters: Ruth McBride of LaVerne, Tenn., Arlene Hofferber of Denver, Colo., and Mary Cooper of Tinnie, New Mexico; three brothers: Ed and Fred Batt of Billings, and Dan Batt of Oregon; three sisters: Elizabeth Yerger of Absarokee, Ruth Heth of Billings, and Miriam Foote of Kalispell; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, a son, Fred Hofferber Jr., and her daughter, Lillian Wittman.
Visitations will begin at the Smith Downtown Chapel at noon on Tuesday with Mary's family gathering to greet friends and neighbors from 7- 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 11 am. on Thursday, June 3 at the Pleasantview cemetery in Ballantine. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Assoc. of Greater Billings; 2 Poly Drive; Billings, Montana 59101.
Dennis Roy Higginbotham
GREAT FALLS - Dennis Roy Higginbotham, 52, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, in a hospital in Great Falls.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, in the Rose Room at the Croxford Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. to service time on Wednesday, June 2. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, in the Rose Room with interment following in the Highland cemetery.

MILES CITY - Beulah J. Rhoades, 78, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at the Holy Rosary Health Center in Miles City.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, in the chapel, with interment following in the Custer County cemetery.

WHITEHALL - Cecelia H. Spackman, 93, of Whitehall, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at the Evergreen Health & Rehabilitation Center in Butte.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with interment in the Whitehall cemetery. Scott Funeral Home is in charge.
Herbert C. 'Herb' Arndt
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Herbert C. "Herb" Arndt, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, at Westview Health Care Center.
Viewing will be Monday, Jan. 18, until 7 p.m., at Ferries Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Immanuel Church with interment in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

ROUNDUP - Marshall E. Williams, 63 of Roundup, died Saturday, May 29, 1999, at St. Vincent Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services are planned. Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist has charge of arrangements.
Brita Bervik
PLENTYWOOD - Brita Bervik, 96, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Sheridan Memorial Nursing Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westby with interment in Oslo cemetery, northeast of Westby in Divide County, N.D. Fulkerson Funeral Home is in charge.
Thomas Darrell Boyles
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Thomas Darrell Boyles, 56, formerly of Worland, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at Holy Name Catholic Church with graveside committal services in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery. Kane Funeral Home is in charge.
Ellen V. Snell
Ellen V. Snell left this world to join her Lord and Family in Heaven on Friday afternoon, May 28, 1999.
Ellen was born in Roseau, Minn., on Aug. 13, 1912. She was one of nine children born to Betty T. and Eric J. Erickson. Ellen had a special gift that allowed her to play the piano by ear. As a young woman, she shared this gift by playing at dances in the Roseau area.
She moved to Billings in the late 1920's where she operated United Motors with her first husband, William J. McFarquhar, who preceded her in death.
On March 20, 1938 she married
Harold S. Snell. To this union Charles and Carol were born. In 1952 the family moved to Joliet where Ellen was employed by the ASCS office until her retirement in 1971. After her husband's death in 1981, Ellen returned to Billings where she resided until her death.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Charles and Melinda Snell of Bismarck, N.D., and Carol and Ed Riesinger of Billings; a brother, Art Erickson of Roseau, Minn.; seven grandchildren: Larry, Russ, Debbie, Rick, Steve, Jay, Christy; 17 great-grandchildren: Teah, Tori, Holly, Alissa, Kyle, Christian, Caitlyn, Taylor, Ryan, Kristopher, Cameron, Ricky, Nicolle, Lukas, Jakob, Matthew and Ben; and one great-great-grandchild, Justice.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Michelotti, Sawyers and Nordquist Mortuary with interment in Rockvale cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of ones choice.
Helen E. Vogel
Helen E. Vogel, of Billings, passed away Friday, May 28, 1999 at her home.
She was born March 28, 1916, at Anoka, Neb., a daughter of William Sr. and Emilie Miller. She attended country school at Anoka, Neb. from the first to the sixth grade. The family then moved to Billings in 1928 where Helen finished her education.
Helen met and married
her husband Fred Vogel Jr. in Laurel on Dec. 14, 1935. The couple were married
57 years. Mr. Vogel preceded her in death in 1993.
Survivors include her two sons: Robert D. Vogel and his wife, Sharon of Billings, Larry E. Vogel and his wife, Linda of Red Lodge; four grandchildren: Debra Farrar, Shelly Clemens, Dwayne Vogel and Kimberely Nordlund; six great-grandchildren: Austin and Hannah Rose Vogel, Callie and Devan Farrar, Shaebreaun Nordlund, and Zachary Robert Clemens; two brothers: Gilbert (Gladys) Miller and Harold K. (Lydia) Miller, both of Billings; seven sisters: Erna Sears of Tacoma, Wash., Emilie Feller (Henry) of Allen Park, Mich., Frieda Lehr of Laurel, Esther Harrold of Carlinville, Ill., Ruth (Jim) Ross of Helena, Charlotte (Tom) Rudolf of Billings, and Barbara (Edward) Peterson of Billings; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred and two brothers, Bill and Glenn Miller.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2nd, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Laurel. Interment will be in the Laurel cemetery.

Jean Germeraad Grove
Jean Germeraad Grove, 82, of Billings, passed away suddenly at her home, Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999.
She was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Billings, the daughter of John and Jane (Blake) Germeraad. She attended rural schools, Billings Senior High and Eastern Montana College.
She taught school at Duck Creek School, Acton School, Head Start and was an aide for EMC's Kindergarten.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Grove and wife, Barbara of Laurel, and her daughter, Jane Ann Grove of Billings; five grandchildren, Larry Grove of Billings, Jennifer Davis of Laurel, Jeff Grove of Billings, Laurie Brown of Billings and Lisa Rader of Sioux City, Iowa; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother out of state; and former daughter-in-law, Joanne Grove of Billings.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two bothers.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother, always putting others before herself. You'll truly be missed and will forever be in our hearts.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at Smith Downtown Chapel. Memorials to the Billings Activity Program.
Richard G. Roylance
JACKSON, Wyo. - Richard G. Roylance, formerly of Billings, died Feb. 11 in Tulsa, Okla., after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 28, 1915, in North Ogden, Utah, to George and Margaret (Storey) Roylance, and graduated from Utah State University.
On Oct. 27, 1939, he married
Claudia Hoopes in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away on July 9, 1997.
He is survived by his brother, Victor of North Ogden; children, Judy and John Beach of Rock Springs, Joan Larsen of Billings, Stephen and Linda Roylance of Provo, Utah, and Brent and Cindy Roylance of Tulsa; 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and interment are Feb. 13 in North Ogden.
