Isabel S. Molyneaux
Isabel S. Molyneaux died Sunday morning, Feb. 28, 1999, at Valley Health Care and Rehab Center in Billings at age 82. She was born on Feb. 7, 1917, in Chinook to Adam and Jane Balmer. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1936. On Oct. 21, 1939, she married Alfred D. Molyneaux. She devoted the rest of her life to her family, friends and to God. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her two brothers, Tom and Jackie.
She is survived by her sister, Rachel (Bob) Graves of Hamilton; daughter, Diane (Gilbert) Hartgrove of Newton, N.C.; sons, Dale (Sharlene) Molyneaux of Billings, Tom (Linda) Molyneaux of Billings, John (Gail) Molyneaux of Gering, Neb.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at a later date in Havre. Cremation by Cremation or Funeral Gallery.

Bertha Alice Nelson
Bertha Nelson, 95, of Billings, died at Western Manor on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, of natural causes. She was born outside Silesia on Sept. 15, 1903, the daughter of Jefferson and Emma (Brumfield) Bittick. She grew up in the Fromberg and Joliet area.
On Sept. 20, 1924, she was united in marriage to George M. Nelson in Billings. He died in December of 1964.
Bertha was a member of the First Christian Church. She and George were caretakers of the church from 1962 until his death. Bertha continued in the position for 20 more years, retiring in 1982. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her nieces, Lola Harper of Pueblo, Colo., Jackie Streets, Sally Bittick and Judy Bittick, all of Billings, and Mary Gilkerson of Malta; nephew, Bill Bittick of Denver, Colo.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 1999. A reception will follow service and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 522 N. 29th. Billings, MT 59101.

Mary Lucinda Osterhout
LIVINGSTON - Mary Lucinda Osterhout, 96, of Livingston, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at the Frontier Personal Care Center in Livingston.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in the chapel of the Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. Rev. Harlan Durgan of the Livingston Congregational Church will officiate. Graveside Committal Services and burial will follow in Mountain View cemetery.
Mrs. Osterhout was born Sept. 12, 1902, in Akeley, Minn., the daughter of John W. and Winnie R. Smith. She spent her early life and received her education in Wibaux. In her early years she was employed in Glendive.
On Feb. 27, 1921, she was married to Edwin Felix "Jake" Osterhout in Terry. They made their home in Glendive until moving to Big Timber in 1929. Mrs. Osterhout assisted her husband in his business there. In 1957 they moved to the Climbing Arrow Ranch in Three Forks where Mr. Osterhout was employed. They moved to Livingston in 1976 and Mr. Osterhout died on May 6, 1990. She has continued to make Livingston her home since.
Mrs. Osterhout is survived by a son and his wife, Wayne and Norma Osterhout of Ashcroft, British Columbia; two daughters and their husbands, Joyce and Don Haas of Knoxville, Tenn., Edwina and Leon Bevel of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Archie and Harold Smith, both of Livingston; one sister, Marge Campbell of Great Falls; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Loira Jean Volker, April 4, 1998.

David 'Bud' Roney
GLENDIVE - David "Bud" Roney, 73, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rite of Committal in the Dawson County cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home is in charge.

Dorothy Mae Savage
SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Dorothy Mae Savage, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Sheridan Manor.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Kane Funeral Home with interment in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Robert Sees the Ground
CROW AGENCY - Robert Sees the Ground, 65, of Crow Agency, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in the Crow Agency IHS Hospital.
He was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Crow Agency, a son of Peter Grey Bull and Cynthia Sees the Ground. He grew up and attended school in Crow Agency.
Robert worked on various ranches throughout Montana and Wyoming as a cowboy. During his younger years, he was a bareback rider in local rodeos. He enjoyed caring for and riding horses. He also loved being around his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Catholic Church, Whistling Water Clan and Child of the Big Lodge Clan.
Survivors include two adopted daughters, Connie Brown and Velda Deputee of Crow Agency; six half-sisters, Rosalie Hill, Priscilla Flatmouth, Bethanna Medicine Horse, Etheleen Dreamer of Lodge Grass, Beverely Huber and Alma Anderson of Billings; one half-brother, Peter Grey Bull of Lodge Grass; two adopted sisters, Roberta Steinmetz and Thelma Jefferson of Crow Agency; and 11 grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited 4 p.m. Sunday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in the Crow Agency St. Dennis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Crow Agency cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Pearl L. Sloan
CODY, Wyo. - Pearl L. Sloan, 94, died Monday, March 1, 1999, at her home.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Ballard Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, at the Grace Baptist Church with interment at 2 p.m. in the Monument Hill cemetery in Thermopolis.

Ernest L. Wetzel
GLASGOW - Ernest L. Wetzel, 90, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at the First Lutheran Church with interment in the Highland cemetery. Bell Mortuary is in charge.

Wayne Berg
BOZEMAN - Wayne Berg, 52, one of the truly gentle souls of the Universe and a world renowned architect and teacher, made his transition on Thursday evening, Feb. 25, 1999. His presence will be sorely missed by his wife Ann, stepson Alex, mother Norma Ritter of Bozeman, father Oswald Berg Jr. of Billings, sister Carol, his team of 14 sled dogs, and all those whose hearts he touched.
Wayne made beauty where ever he walked. His architecture was published in all the major architectural magazines including "Progressive Architecture, " "Domus, " "House and Garden, " "Interiors, " "New York Magazine, " as well as numerous books on Architecture. His designs have received awards from "Progressive Architecture" (including the 1999 awards that were just announced); the American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.); and Luminaire Awards. He has been honored as a Fellow of the A.I.A., one of the top "40 under 40" and "Emerging Voices" of Architecture. Wayne's desire to excel permeated everything he did from his winning performance as a youth in ski racing for Bozeman Senior High School and later Montana State University until now, when last year Wayne was a part of the U.S. Sled Dog Racing Team. Wayne also has taught architecture at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and Montana State University.
Memorial services will be held in Bozeman on Tuesday, March 2, at 9:30 a.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church. Services will also be held at a later date in New York City at Columbia University. Burial will be at the Berg Ranch in Lennep, Mont. His soul is now free to soar again. His family all wish him happiness in his new journey.

Estella Cash
BUFFALO, Wyo. - Estella Cash, 89, died Friday, Feb. 26, at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 1 to 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday until the service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the Adams Funeral Home with burial in Willow Grove cemetery with graveside services.

Bernadine Eldridge
WOLF POINT - Bernadine Thomte Eldridge, 88, best known as "Bee, " passed away of natural causes at her winter home in Green Valley, Ariz., Feb. 22, 1999.
She was born in Lisbon, N.D., on Sept. 24, 1910, and married Parker Faye Eldridge on Feb. 2, 1932. They settled in Wolf Point, Mont., in 1941 and maintained a home there until the time of her death.
Bee was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and Eastern Star in Wolf Point. She worked closely with the Hospice and Friend Indeed programs in Green Valley. She loved nature and appreciated all its beauty. Her favorite past times were playing bridge, knitting and visiting with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker, in 1988.
Beloved mother of son Kent of Hiland Mills, N.Y., daughter Shari and husband Darwin Beck of Kiev, Ukraine, son Van and wife Cindy Eldridge of Cadillac, Mich., and son Scott and wife Lauri Eldridge of Billings, Mont. Other survivors include her sister Gladys Poole, 95, of Spokane, Wash., and seven very special grandchildren as well as three great grandchildren.
Bee touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Wolf Point March 11 at 11 a.m. According to Bee's wishes, cremation has taken place in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church in Wolf Point or to a charity of your choice.

Sonia Jacqueline Fischer
RANCHESTER, Wyo. - Sonia Jacqueline Fischer, 68, died Friday, Feb. 26.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 1, at the Kane Funeral Home in Sheridan, Wyo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the First Baptist Church in Sheridan with burial in Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Philip 'Slim' Fox
LAUREL - Philip Fox, 92, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at Evergreen Laurel. He was born Feb. 12, 1907, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Henry H. Fox Sr. and Anna Elizabeth (Neubauer) Fox. In May of 1908 the family moved to Laurel and he has resided in the area ever since.
He farmed and raised sheep and Hereford cattle until his retirement.
Philip was welt known for his attendance at all Laurel sports events. He was the first recipient of the "Philip 'Slim' Fox Attendance Award".
He is a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church.
Survivors include his sister Esther (J. George ) Frank; sister-in-laws Lydia (Henry) Fox, Miriam (Bill) Fox, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church, Rev. Doug Tofteland officiating.
Memorials may be sent to either The First Congregational Church of Laurel or American Legion Baseball, P.0. Box 144 Laurel.

Ernest Kober
Ernest Kober of Billings died early Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, following a long illness. He was born April 21, 1924, in Lincoln, Neb., a son of Henry and Elizabeth (Kukes) Kober. He attended schools in the Billings area. In 1944 Ernie enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific until May 1946. Among his citations were the Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal and Philippine Liberation Medal.
Ernie worked through Boilermaker Local #599 from March of 1958 until retiring due to ill health in 1986.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Alice and her children, Richard Johnson and fiance Patricia, and Kathy (Larry) Hill of Billings; four step-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry, Lovell, Wyo.; five sisters, Clara (Jack) Smith, Helena, Virginia (Earl) Hollingsworth, Livingston, Ann (Bill) Griffel, Columbus, Vivian (Mike) Roberts, Billings, and Shirley Strong of Bracey, Va. Survivors also include sister-in-laws Diane Kober-Jackson and Genevieve Kober and numerous nephews and nieces. Preceding Ernie in death were his six brothers, William, Emil, John, Robert, Clarence and Vernon; and a dearly beloved step-grandson, Scott Johnson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings with interment in Mountain View cemetery, Columbus.
You are not forgotten, loved one, nor will you ever be, as long as life & memory last, we will remember thee. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
Memorials may be sent to the Billings Food Bank, 2112 Fourth Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101, or to the Columbus Senior Citizens Center, 436 E. Pike Ave., Columbus, MT 59019. Arrangements by Dahl Funeral Chapel.

Elaine Petty
Elaine L. Petty, 80, of Billings, world's greatest fisherwoman, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999.
She was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Choteau, the daughter of Josiah and Angela (Neadeau) Ralston. Her family moved to Billings when she was one year old. She attended local schools.
On Nov. 6, 1935, she married Robert Burns Petty and he preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1982.
Elaine worked at the Billings News Agency for many years and then her and her husband owned and operated the Gusher Bar. She retired in 1969.
Elaine loved fishing, dressing up pretty to go out, her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog, Spunki. She was a member of the Eagles lodge.
Survivors include three daughters: DeAnna Jones and husband LeRoy of Townsend; Gale Jacobs and her husband Mike of Santa Maria, Calif.; Cherri Lynn Petty of Billings; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great- grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Millie Ralston of Billings; a special niece, Bonnie Brazer and husband Jake of Havre, and special nephew, John Petty and his wife Polly of Shepherd, and dear friend, Jim Ellis of Billings and many other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may meet at Smith Downtown Chapel at 12 noon and proceed to cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Billings Animal Shelter. Visitation to start 4 p.m. Monday. "We love you mom and will miss you.
