HARRIS
Mrs. Elisabeth (Betty) Jo Forsman Harris, of Pascagoula, Miss., and Vancleave, Miss., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007. She was a kind and generous homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nester Albin Forsman; her mother, Bertice Hilda Augusta Lennep Forsman; her brother, Frank Forsman; and brother-in-law, E.V. Curry.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, John C. Harris, Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law; Elisabeth and Ford Kinsey of Pascagoula and Rebecca and Bobby Kates of Pensacola, Fla. She is also survived by three sisters, Pauline Curry, Joan (Ernie) Becker and Faith (Don) Magallanes, all of Pascagoula; four brothers, John (Marilyn) Forsman, Victor (Sharon) Forsman, Jerry (Avis) Forsman, and George (Linda) Forsman, all of Jackson County; two grandchildren, Martin and Mary Elisabeth Kinsey; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Vancleave with Rev. Robert Kates, Rev. Earl Greenough and Rev. Robbie Murden officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the church.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

ATHCOCK
Mrs. Loryce Boykin Hathcock, 80, of Moss Point, Miss. died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, after a lengthy illness. She was born
Sept. 14, 1927, in Sharkey County, Miss. Moving to Pascagoula, Miss., as an adult, she devoted much of her life as a caregiver. After a move to Newman, Ga., where she continued in the same line of work, for several years, she returned to the Gulf Coast residing in Moss Point with her daughter and family until her death.
Mrs. Hathcock is preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Hathcock of West, Miss.; a brother, Albert Douglas Boykin; five sisters, Miriam Rodey of Greenville, Miss., Nell Barlow, Bobbie Lochridge and Doza Russum, all of Pascagoula, Lois Ellen Hunter of Brandon, Miss., and a grandson, William Michael Boley, Jr. of Pascagoula.
Survivors include her children, Anne Logsdon of Bardstown, Ky.; Mrs. Bob (Linda) Mann of Newman, George Burton Hibbs of Placentia, Calif., Mrs. Donnie (Carolyn) Thomas of Gautier, Miss., Mrs. Gary (Donna) Bosarge of Moss Point, and Mrs. Eddie (Millie) Waltman of Augusta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Ange (Celeste) Paraskevas of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Ms. Sammie Bodden of Gautier; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Visitation for Mrs. Hathcock will be Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Rice officiating.
Interment will follow at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula.

HUDSON
Flora Dorothy Hudson, 88, of Wade, Miss., died Sept. 21, 2007, in Lucedale, Miss. Mrs. Hudson was born
Sept. 25, 1918, in Neshoba County, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Hurley, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lizzie Bishop, and two husbands, John P. Harris and Authur Hudson.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny (Terri) Harris of Wade; four grandchildren, John Michael Harris Jr., Amy Micheel (Jason) Schwendiamann, Michael Ward and Landen Ward; two great grandchildren, Kelsey and Jessica Schwendiamann and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss., with the Rev. Jerry Hamilton and the Rev. Eugene Hamilton officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, Miss.

PARKER
Ivon C. Barnes Parker, 79, of Escatawpa, Miss., died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007.
Mrs. Parker was a member of the Community Church of Christ of Es-atawpa, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Melvin D. Parker; her father and mother, Noll and Gracie Barnes; her brothers, Elbert, Leroy (Calvin), Curtis, Otis and Myron; and one sister, Margie Barnes Miller.
She is survived by her two sisters, Wilda Barnes Ware (Howard) and Wanda Barnes Hamm (Donald); her sister-in-law, Kate Barnes of Atlanta, Ga., and brother-in-law Bill Miller of Washington; her daughter, DorothyAnn Cochran (Albert); her son, Donny M. Parker (Vivian); her grandchildren, Mekki Mazingo, Hal Cochran, Donna Marie Golson and Kimberly D. Wallace; great-grandchildren, Alexis Ann Mazingo, Savannah and Devon Wallace and Jaelyn and Ella Golson. She was so proud to have a nephew, Kelly Barnes, and a niece, Amanda K. McCara, to share her birth date of Feb. 10th. She loved all of her family very much.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, from the Community of Christ Church in Escatawpa, Miss., at 1 p.m. with High Priest, Donald Hamm and Evangelist, Tony Tristani officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the Church. Burial will follow at the Community of Christ cemetery in Escatawpa.

SMITH
Douglas J. Smith, 49, of Vancleave, Miss., passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, in Ocean Springs, Miss.
Mr. Smith was a self-employed electrician who loved hunting, fishing and boating. More than anything he loved playing with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is a son, Daniel C. (Tara Smith) Smith of Vancleave Miss.; a daughter, Dana (Patrick) Beckham of Brooklyn Miss.; two grandchildren, Summer Elise Smith of Vancleave and Bailey Jane Beckham of Brooklyn Miss.; his parents, Elvin and Barbara Smith of Vancleave Miss.; a brother, Greg (Pam) Smith of Gautier; and a nephew, Monti Smith of Gautier Miss.
Visitation will be Wednesday Sept. 26, 2007, from 11 a.m. to noon at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss. Services for Mr. Smith will begin at noon in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Murden officiating. Pallbearers will be Mitch Hanberry, Mark McFall, Ben Lightsey, Paul Sullivan, Steve Barrow and Doug Perez. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Hitchcock, Jody White and Tommy Smith. Burial will follow at Vancleave cemetery located on Jim Ramsey Road in Vancleave.

COOK
Reverend James B. Cook Jr., 55, of Helena, Miss., passed away Friday Sept. 21, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss.
Rev. Jim Cook was born
on Sept. 29, 1951, in Potsdam, NY. He retired from Chevron, and enjoyed being a Pastor, woodworking, fishing and being with his family.
Rev. Jim Cook leaves loving memories to his wife Barbara Cook of Helena; his son James B. (Ronica) Cook IV of Lucedale, Miss.; his daughter Tabitha Dawn (Jimmy Lee) Vice of Lucedale; his grandchildren Avery Lee Vice and Madison Aliece Vice; his sisters Carol (Charles) Willard of Helena and Nancy (James) Rouse of Gaffeny, S.C.; and many other relatives and friends.
Rev. Jim Cook is reunited with his parents James B. Cook, Sr. and Marlyn Agnes Cook; and his son James B. Cook III.
Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Serene Memorial Gardens of Escatawpa, Miss.

HALL
Margaret Charlene Hall, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Mercy Medical in Daphne, Ala., following complications from a stroke suffered in June 2007.
Margaret was born
in Birmingham, Ala., on Feb. 9, 1924. She grew up in Cruger, Miss., and graduated from the Cruger High School. She then attended one year of college at Holmes Jr. College, in Goodman, Miss., until WWII broke out and she returned to Greenwood where she worked for Warner Wells Insurance Co. She then married
Hubert Armistead Hall, who was in the Army Air Corps, and they traveled around the world for the next twenty years. They remained together until his death in 2000.
Margaret survived the flood of 1927, the Great Depression, WWII, the 1960s, Hurricane Camille, Hurricane Katrina, and over 30 years as a New Orleans Saints fan. She was an avid fan even through the 1-15 season. She believed there was "always next year." The success for the Saints last year was her last "next year".
Margaret was a devoted housewife and mother who loved to cook and clean and nurture her children. Her deepest desire was to be a good wife and mother and she turned out to be a great wife and a great mother. She loved Christmas with the family, soap operas, crossword puzzles and ice cream. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family but she is now in the safest eternal home where she can rest forever.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Armistead Hall and a daughter, Linda Kay Hall Gelberman. She is survived by her daughter, S. Cheryl Hall of Gulfport and two sons: Dr. Charles T. Hall, his wife, Cherry, of Gulfport and Gary A. Hall of Pascagoula. Other survivors include her granddaughter, Dr. Courtney Gelberman Chang, her husband, Dr. Louis Chang, and great-granddaughter, Sabine Kay Chang, all of New York, N.Y., and a grandson, David Gelberman, in St. Louis, Mo.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss., with burial on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at Poplar Springs cemetery in Cascilla, Miss., where Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband and dearly beloved daughter, Linda.

STRUNK
Mr. Kenneth Lee Strunk, 78, of Ocean Springs, Miss., went peacefully to the Lord on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007.
Mr. Strunk was a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1975. He was a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, serving first in the Marine Corps and then 18 years in the Navy on submarines, which included duties on the first nuclear submarine. He ended his 22 years of military service as a CWO2 in the Army.
Mr. Strunk retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding working as a guarantee/warranty engineer. He was a life member of the VFW Post No. 2132 in Gautier.
Mr. Strunk was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Thelma Strunk, brother, J.W. Strunk, and granddaughter, Heather Strunk.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joan Strunk, a daughter, Susan Tolar and her husband Bruce, all of Ocean Springs; five sons, Scotty Strunk and his wife, Liz, of Gautier, Miss., Steven Strunk and his wife, Susan, of Ocean Springs, Shawn Strunk and his wife, Linda, of Gautier, Shannon Strunk and his wife, Cynthia, of Pascagoula, Miss., and Sheldon Strunk and his wife, Lisa, of Ocean Springs; two brothers, Larry Strunk and his wife, Jackie, and Barry Strunk, all of McCreary County, Ky., 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, there will be a 10 a.m. church service at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs, where the body will lie in state from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the VFW Foundation.
CHRISTIAN
Allean T. Christian, 87, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at her home in Lucedale, Miss. born
in Lucedale, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and the late Marie (Pierce) Tanner. She was a retired waitress, employed by Coffee Pot Restaurant. Mrs. Christian was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kennie Christian; brothers, Ford Tanner and Elwood "Pete" Tanner; father, Curtis Tanner; mother, Marie Pierce Tanner.
She is survived by her daughter, Virgie Holland of Lucedale; sons, Homer Christian of Ricardo, Texas, Ben Christian of Kingsville, Texas, Clinton Christian of Lafayette, La. 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jean Tanner of Lucedale and Glydis Crawson of Mobile, Ala.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, from 6 p.m. until service time at Midway Baptist Church, Howell Community, Lucedale.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. from Midway Baptist Church, 2206 Howell Tanner Chapel Road, Lucedale.
Interment will follow in the Howell cemetery, Lucedale. Rev. Brandon Rogers, Rev. Wyman Bradley and Rev. Grant McLain will conduct the services.

KIRKPATRICK
Mr. John Frank Kirkpatrick Jr., a native of Benton, Ark., and resident of Mobile, Ala., died on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, in a local hospital. He was owner of Kirkpatrick Shipping; he was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy during the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was past president of the Board of Directors for Springhill Memorial Hospital and was past president of the Steamship Association also he was a member of the American Legion Post #3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Frank Kirkpatrick Sr. and Edith Kirkpatrick; his brother, Paul Kirkpatrick.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mrs. Lanelle Howell Kirkpatrick of Mobile; a daughter, Kathi (Mike) Jernigan of Foley, Ala., and a son, John Frank (Dee) Kirkpatrick, III of Loxley, Ala.; a granddaughter, Andrea Kirkpatrick Hawkins; four grandsons, Bryan Michael Brown, John Travis Peterson, David Prassel Kirkpatrick and Austin Baker Clay; sister, Mrs. Merle King of Benton, Ark.; and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, from the Chapel at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Refuge United Methodist Church cemetery Lucedale, Miss. at 12:30 p.m.

WILSON

On Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at 1:15 p.m. following a conversation with Jesus, Jerry Jerrell Wilson, went home to be with his Savior.
A blessing from God, "Lil" Jerry, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was born
Aug. 10, 1988, to the union of Jerry and Renee Wilson of Pascagoula, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Wilson Jr. and Dessie B. Wilson.
An avid sportsman from the age of four throughout his formative years, "Lil" Jerry aggressively played t-ball, basketball and baseball. He was a member of the All-Star Baseball team for many years. He was also a representative for the Mississippi Baseball Championship games in 1998 and 2001. Not only were sports an integral part of "Lil" Jerry's life, he also excelled academically. An honor roll student, he received Highest Achievement awards in Science, English, Math, Computer Discovery and many other subjects. He was recognized for perfect attendance and was frequently on the Principal's List and the Superintendent's List throughout his scholastic years. "Lil" Jerry was a 2006 graduate of Pascagoula High School with highest honors and received many scholarship awards to further his education goals. He was completing his second year or studies in Physical Therapy at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala. Jerry and Renee always admonished "Lil" Jerry to put God first in his life and to remember if God be for you who could be against you.
To forever cherish his life, love and legacy, "Lil" Jerry leaves his parents, Jerry and Renee Wilson of Pascagoula; two sisters, Valencia Durr Wilson of Picayune, Miss. and Kinyatta Wilson of Houston, Texas; a niece, Jada Jackson of Dallas, Texas; grandparents, Robert and Myrtis Middleton of Moss Point, Miss. and Oteria Boyce of Pascagoula; a host of uncles, aunts, great uncles, great aunts, cousins and many friends and a special friend, Laniyia Evans of Escatawpa, Miss. and friends, Travis Rosado, Donald Ray Gibson, and Terrel Wills.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at The Church of The Living God, 2233 Telephone Road, Pascagoula.
Funeral Services will begin promptly at 1 p.m. at the church with Elder Matthew Townsend, Officiating.
Interment will be in Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula.
