Mildred V. Leuba, 84, died Friday June 9, 2006 in Pascagoula, Miss.. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. Mrs. Leuba passed from this life into her heavenly home Friday. Her life was a testimonial of what God can do with anyone's life. She was a wonderful caregiver for her family and friends. Mrs. Leuba was born
Aug. 11, 1921, in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Ladnier; her husband, Milton Eugene Leuba; two sisters, Lucille and Dorothy.

Gertrude was a native of Columbia, Miss., and had lived in Pascagoula for more than 50 years. She was the daughter of Elvin Lee and Bazelia Manning Boyd. Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Thames Hollingsworth of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away on Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, in Pascagoula. She was born
July 11, 1924, in Mendenhall, Miss., and had been a resident of Pascagoula since 1958. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pascagoula where she taught Sunday school for 25 years and was Secretary of the Jennelle Baber Sunday School Class. She was an active member of UMW and the Pascagoula Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ellis Thames and Callie May Thames of Mendenhall.

Mrs. Alice Faye Thomas, 70, of Pascagoula, Miss., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 11, 2006. She was born
July 15, 1936, in Jackson County where she continued to reside until her death.

Infant Thomas Isaiah McClendon Wallace went to be with Jesus on Aug. 9, 2006, in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was born
Dec. 13, 2005, in Ocean Springs with Zellweger Syndrome. He was dedicated to the Lord on Jan. 2, 2006.

James Kelly Cason, 62, joined our Heavenly Father on Aug. 8, 2006. His love and memory will live forever in the hearts of his amazing legacy: his beloved wife Nica and his adored children and grandchildren. March 20, 1917, in Neshoba County, Miss., died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Riley Hospital in Meridian, Miss. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a retired domestic worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Clemons.

Charles E. "Gene" Short, 55, of Park Ridge, Ill. passed away on Aug. 7, 2006.
WESTPHAL
Mr. Arsene O. Westphal, age 84, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Friday morning Aug. 11, 2006, at his residence. born
Nov. 4, 1921, in Pascagoula, to the late William Conrad and Verna Mildred VanCourt Westphal, he had been a resident of Pascagoula all of his life. In 1939, he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and in 1941, he joined the U.S. Navy where he served until 1946 as a gunner's mate 2nd class. He retired from International Paper in 1986 after 35 years of service. Mr. Westphal was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church, and was a 30 year member of Knights of Columbus (3rd degree). He was also a member of The American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3373 (Lifetime Member). With his declining health, his loving wife of 59 years, was constantly by his side, and was truly an angel in comforting him.

DUMAS
Mrs. Dolores Cavazos Dumas was born
at Oxnard, Calif., on Sept. 22, 1938, to Anita Cavazos and Americo Cavazos. She has been a resident of the Pascagoula-Moss Point area for more than 33 years. After a long and lengthy illness she was taken home by a special angel on Aug. 10, 2006. In her final days there was a constant vigil at her bedside by her husband, extended family and her many friends, including Princess, BoBo and Prince. She was former manager of Tina's in Singing River Mall. Mrs. Dumas was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bobby and Rudy Cavazos, step-son, Mike Dumas.

Mrs. Catherine Davis Lippe, 80, of Ocean Springs, Miss., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
