HOLDEN
Robert V. Holden, 83, of Vancleave, Miss., died Friday, April 7, 2006, in Vancleave.
Mr. Holden was born icon Nov. 19, 1922, and was a lifelong resident of Vancleave. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Fab Shop Supervisor for 22 years. Mr. Holden was the founder of Robert Holden General Store in 1961 and Robert Holden Earth Moving and Construction Company Inc. in 1971. He was a member of the Ezel Masonic Lodge # 427 in Vancleave. He was a member of Associated General Contractors and Mississippi Road Builders Association.
Mr. Holden was of the Methodist faith and joined Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in 1943.
Mr. Holden was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Holden and Mary Parker Holden; a sister, Mary Alice Saucier; and three brothers, Donnis Holden, Wilton Holden and Burea Lee Holden.
Mr. Holden is survived by his wife of 63 years, Winona Wilson Holden, of Vancleave; a son, Douglas Robert Holden, and his wife, Linda, of Moss Point; a daughter, Beverly Holden Evans, and her husband, Jerry, of Vancleave; three grandsons, Scott Holden, Trey Evans, and his wife, Melissa, all of Vancleave and Chad Evans, of Birmingham, Ala.; a great-granddaughter, Maison Ann Evans, of Vancleave; two sisters, Ann Cole, of Mesa, Ariz., and Penny Arcuri, of Napavine, Wash.; a brother, Billy Jack Holden, of Sumrall, Miss.; and a step-brother, Leo Holden, Jr., of Sumrall, Miss.; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime family friends, Martha Brumfield, of Ocean Springs, Rincey Waltman, Ola Mae Waltman and Ruby Tanner, all of Vancleave.
Rev. J. A. Sharp will be officiating over the service.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. A service will be held Sunday, April 9 at 2 p.m., where friends may visit one hour prior to the service in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery in Vancleave.

ANDERSON
Raymond Anderson, 67, of Lucedale, Miss., died April 5, 2006.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Cowan Funeral Home Chapel, Lucedale.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at the Cowan Funeral Home in Lucedale, Miss.
Interment will be at Old Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Barton Community.

GEORGE
Mr. Claudia Ray George, 79, of Lucedale, Miss., passed away April 5, 2006, in Pascagoula, Miss. He was born icon July 25, 1926, in Kemper County, Miss. He served in the U.S. Army in the 3rd Infantry under General George Patton.
Mr. George retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1964 after serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 1989, where he was a Fireman.
Mr. George was preceded in death by his father, Felton A. George Sr.; and mother, Lillian George Hedgepeth; son, Charles Ray George; sister, Rachel Stuart; and brothers, Bennie and Daniel George.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Rachel George of Lucedale; daughter, Irene (Michael) Asiala of Pascagoula; sons, Felton Davis George of Pascagoula and Jimmy (Debbie) George of Lucedale; brothers, Felton Allen George Sr. of Vancleave and Tillman George of Moss Point; sister, Tiney Marshall of DeKalb; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Tucker's Chapel in DeKalb with Rev. H.J. Hedgepeth officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.

KING
J. L. King (J Baby), age 46, departed this life April 4, 2006, in Ocean Springs Hospital, Ocean Springs, Miss. He was employed with the City of Pascagoula until his job-injury in 2005. He was born icon April 29, 1959, in Prentiss, Miss.. and had been a resident of the Pas-Point area for 40 years. He was a member of the Meridian Street Church of Christ.
J. L. King was born icon to the late Mr. Willie Lee King Sr. and the late Mrs. Willie Mae King, who were lifelong residents of Moss Point, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his loving sisters, Shirley Ruth King, Willa Mena King and Elsie Louise King Williams; one son, O. D. Washington Smith Jr. and brother-in-law, Bobby Smith and Hollis Earl Adams and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Erma Nell Smith.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Pearlie Mae Smith King and four loving and devoted daughters, Erica Smith of Moss Point, Sharon Smith of Gautier, Miss., Kimberly Smith of Pascagoula, and Mary Ann Smith of New Orleans, La.; one son, Joseph (Rasheila) Washington of Pascagoula; two loving and devoted sisters, Dorothy R. Adams of Bassfield, Miss., and Mary D. King of Moss Point; two loving and devoted brothers, Alexander Leroy (Mary) King, and Willie Lee (Joyce) King, Jr.; three brothers-in-law and friends, Walter Ray Smith, Dale Smith and Jack Smith; three sisters-in-law, Ms. Glenda Smith, Jackson, Miss., Ruby Peyton, Diamondhead, Calif., Nida Smith, Englewood, Calif.; 13 loving grandchildren; 17 loving and devoted nieces and nephews; 37 great-great nieces and nephews; a host of relatives and friends; devoted friends, Tony Evans, Odis Anderson, Reginald Barrett, Sam Hill and Glen Larkins.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Meridian Street Church of Christ, Moss Point, where funeral services will begin promptly at 11 a.m. with Rev. Willie Lee King officiating.
Interment will be at Gabriel cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.

McINTIRE
Lillian Inez Prouse McIntire, age 93, of Grand Bay, Ala., formerly of Pascagoula, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, in Grand Bay.
She was born icon Jan. 27, 1913, in Pascagoula, Miss., and has been a longtime resident of this area. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grand Bay.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Warren R. Prouse and Lessa Eiland Prouse; brother, W.R. Prouse Jr; husband of 56 years, S.H. McIntire; sister, Gladys Fredrickson; son, Howard A. McIntire.
Mrs. McIntire is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Carol McIntire, of Grand Bay; brother, Jessie Prouse, of Spanish Fort; two grandsons; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2006, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Still officiating.
Interment will follow at Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.

RILEY
Gertrude Odom Riley, 83, of Moss Point, Miss., was born icon in Monroe County, Ala., to the union of Jessie and Lela Odom. She passed on to eternal life on Monday, April 3, 2006.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Monroe, Ala. She was presently a member of Little Rock Baptist and served in many capacities.
Mrs. Riley was united in marriage to Earthy (Big Boy) Riley for 58 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earthy (Big Boy) Riley; her mother and father, Jessie and Lela Odom; and two brothers, Irvin and Otis Odom.
To cherish her memories is one daughter, Elizabeth (Bruce) Theus of Racine, Wis.; one son, Robert (Barbara) Riley of Moss Point, Miss.; three grandchildren, Michael Theus of Racine, Wis., Bethlyn Thigpen of Jesup, Ga., and Gabriel (Monika) Wiley of Lakeworth, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, and Tyler Thigpen; two very devoted God-children, Lewis (Owena) Bell and Chester (Helen) Jones; seven sisters-in-law, Annie Ruth Riley, Annie Jewel Riley, and Mamie Riley of Chicago, Ill., I. L. Riley of Birmingham, Ala., Alice (Floyd) Bradley, Middie Liddell, and Mazaree Riley of Moss Point, Miss.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special devoted friends, Vonzie Odom and Jimmy Jones.
Viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 4600 Main Street, Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral Services will begin promptly at 11 am at the church with Rev. Cortez Keeton, officiating.
Interment will be at Scranton cemetery, Pascagoula, Miss.

SIMMONS
Berry "Pete" Simmons was born icon to the union of the late Mr. Cleophus Jack Simmons and the late Mrs. Lela Mae Simmons on Aug. 28, 1928.
He was united in holy matrimony to Annie Dell Cullum on April 7, 1951. To this union eight children were born. Berry was a farmer for 20 years in Eupora, Miss. He then moved to Moss Point, Miss., where he worked as a landscaper for Pascagoula High School for 32 years before retiring in 2005. He loved cooking and mingling with people. He was an extremely generous man who never had very much, but would give his last to others. He was our "Gentle Giant." Mr. Berry Simmons departed his life on March 31, 2006, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleophus Jack Simmons and Lela Mae Watson Simmons.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie D. Simmons; seven sons, Billy (Bessie) Simmons of Eupora, Miss., Jimmy (Janis) Simmons of Meridian, Miss., Gerald Robinson of Eupora, Miss., Torash (Florence) Booker of Miami, Fla., Kerry (Stepahnie) Booker of Moss Point, Miss., LeBaron "Tim" Williams of Pascagoula, Miss., and James Mills of Eupora, Miss.; eight daughters, Bettye Scott of Meridian, Miss., Dorothy Simmons of Meridian, Miss., Shirley Jordan of Long Beach, Miss., Sarah Simmons of Meridian, Miss., Jackie (Alvin) Edwards of Covington, Tenn., Toni (Rev. John) Davis of Biloxi, LaShurn (Terrence) Scott of Pascagoula, Miss., and LaKeyia Williams of Pascagoula.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, at Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where the pastor Dr. John W. Davis Sr. will deliver words of encouragement, and Rev. John W. Davis Jr. of Faith Missionary Baptist of Gulfport will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be at the church two hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Scranton cemetery.
Care of our father is entrusted only to the professionalism of Marshall Funeral Home.

CHANDLER
Mr. Bobby Gene Chandler, Sr., 67 of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away April 1, 2006, at his home. He was born icon June 7, 1938, in Grenada County, Miss. He was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church. Mr. Chandler was a retired welder/burner. He served in the U.S. Army and on the Pascagoula Police Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Clayton and Clara Gray Chandler.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Kay Chandler of Pascagoula; daughters, Amanda (Kenneth) Brewer, Stacy (Stacy) Holley, all of Pascagoula; son, Bobby (Crystal) Chandler, Jr. of Pascagoula; brothers, Billy Joe Chandler of Pascagoula, Eddie L. Chandler of Ripley, Miss.; sisters, Patsy Nell Bosarge of Pascagoula, Clara A. Eavener of Ripley, Miss.; grandchildren, Sophia Holley, Shelton Holley, Bobby (Bo) Clayton Chandler and Shannon Chandler; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 7, 2006, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral in Moss Point, Miss.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006, from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rosco Wentworth and Rev. Thomas Miller officiating.
Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula.
Pallbearers will be Todd Northrop, Lee Chandler, Brett Jarrell, Clayton Jarrell, Steve Panter, Doyle Simmers, Jeff Beaker and Mike Mosley.

COLLINS
Ms. Linda Diane Glenn-Collins, age 54, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at her home in Wade, Miss. She was born icon Aug. 18, 1951.
She is preceded in death by her father, Euell Herrigan Glenn; her mother, Wesley Louise Freeman-Glenn; one sister, Merita Faye Glenn-Graham; and two brothers, Ronnie Jo Glenn and Royce O'Neal Glenn.
Survivors include three sons, Philip Shane Poole of Atlanta, Ga., Mitchell Country Poole of Moss Point, Miss., and Tony Beardsly of Moss Point; one sister, Deborah "Debbie" Marcita Glenn-Edwards of Moss Point; four brothers, Clyde Rayburn "Buddy" Glenn of Houston, Texas, Robert Carl "Tex" Glenn of Victorville, Calif., Euell Edward "Dausha" Glenn of Mobile, Ala., and James Oliver "Butch" Glenn of Moss Point; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial will be held in her honor, details incomplete at this time. You may contact 228 588-3281 for further information about this Thursday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, Linda's wish was a donation to any charity of your choice made in her name.
