ELDER
Ethel Dayton Elder, 98, formerly of Moss Point, Miss., was born
Jan. 2, 1908, in Waterford, Conn. She died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Montgomery, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Elder; her son-in-law, Edwin B. Robbins; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson Dayton; one brother, Arthur Dayton; and two sisters, Janet Pukas and Lillian Truitt.
In her younger days she was active in civic and church affairs, teaching Sunday school and visiting shut-ins. She was also known for her cooking, entertaining, and gardening. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pascagoula, Miss.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Robbins, Montgomery, Ala.; granddaughter, Linda McIntyre, Montgomery, Ala.; grandson and his wife, Steve and Jane Robbins, Beavercreek, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jenny McIntyre Cone and her husband Matt, Jeff McIntyre and his wife, Rebekah, William Robbins, and Daniel Robbins; and a sister, Arleen Schultz.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, Machpelah cemetery, Pascagoula, with The Rev. Bruce Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 2710 Pascagoula Street, Pascagoula, Miss. 39567.

MASON
Martha Ann Waltman Mason, 53, of Moss Point, Miss., beloved momma, daughter, sister and grandmother, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. She was born
Jan. 23, 1953, in Pascagoula, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of Wade Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her mother, Dorthy Dowdy Waltman; sister, Lisa Waltman; and husband, Danny Mason.
Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters, Cynthia (Pat) Harrison of Moss Point, Kerrie (Lee) Mears of Moss Point and Angel (Aaron) Young of Moss Point; her father, W.W. (Buzz) Waltman of Wade; her brother, William C. "Man" Waltman of Wade; her three sisters, Vicki (Issac) Denton of Wade, Cheryl (Michael) Whitehead of Gautier and Brenda (Doug) Knippers of Pascagoula. Also she is survived by 10 grandchildren, Whitney Young, Daniel Young, Devin Mears, Dixie Mears, Seth Mears, Jessica Mears, Brandon Harrison, Bobby Harrison, Jacob Harrison and Cheyenne Harrison. She is also survived by 41 nieces and nephews and 70 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday March 28, 2006, at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa, Miss. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home. Internment will be at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Miss.
Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated, is in charge of arrangements.
SHERLOCK
William "Bill" Robert Sherlock, age 75 of Gautier, Miss., left this world to reunite with his creator Wednesday, March 22, 2006, after a very short battle with cancer.
Bill was born
Dec. 13, 1930, in Detroit, Mich. In Feb. 1948 Bill joined the United States Navy and served as Boatswain Mate Senior Chief. He served out of the country for 24 years until his retirement to Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1972. In 1973 he relocated to south Mississippi.
Bill was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, was a supporter of diabetes, and cancer research.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude "Gaugh" Sherlock; father, Kenneth W. Sherlock, and his first wife Jane Faulkner Sherlock.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Allmand Sherlock; sister, Virginia Sherlock LeRoy and her husband Robert; sons, John Sherlock, David Sherlock and his wife April; daughter, Christine Sherlock Suber; Stepsons, James Allmand and his wife Janet, David Gibson Allmand and his wife Becky; four grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be Monday, March 27, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier.

Mr. Charles Clark Cropp, Sr., age 65, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died with dignity, Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, in Pascagoula, Miss., after a brief battle with cancer.

July 4, 1953, in Pascagoula, Miss. He passed into eternity on Oct. 31, 2005, in Moss Point, Miss.

Mr. Joe Earl Nettles, 61, of Moss Point, Miss., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Miss. He was a life long resident of Moss Point, Miss., and worked at the Pascagoula Adult Detention Center until his health failed. In May of 2002, he made a choice to live with Emma Bagget of Moss Point as his caregiver.

Mrs. Feannie Steward, 75, of Pascagoula, Miss., was born
on Oct. 27, 1930, in Montgomery, Ala. She was a lifelong resident of the Pascagoula-Moss Point area and was retired from Pascagoula Port Authority Security Division and was of the Baptist faith. She was a very devoted mother, grandmother and aunt.
WILSON
born to the union of the late Walter and Priscilla Nathan on Jan. 3, 1955, in Birmingham, Ala. Linda Gail Nathan Wilson departed this life on Dec. 4, 2005, at Singing River Hospital.
YANCEY
Frank J. Yancey, age 68, of Fort Smith, Ark., died Dec. 6, 2005, in Fort Smith. He retired from Kellogg Brown-Root, a division of Halliburton in 2001.

MYRTLE MADENE O'NEAL, 70, of Greene County, Miss., died Dec. 5, 2005. George County Funeral Home, Lucedale, Miss.

Mrs. Catherine Harvison Goff, age 67 of Vancleave, Miss., died Monday Dec. 5, 2005 in Pascagoula, Miss. She was a resident of Vancleave for 35 years, and a member of Vancleave Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Goff was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, and was loved by all who were privileged to know her.
