MASON
Madelin Stinson Mason, 91, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, in Pascagoula. She was born
Jan. 13, 1912, in Meridian, Miss. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Pascagoula.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas O. Mason Jr. of Pascagoula; son and daughter-in-law, Boyd and Amy Mason of Big Point, Miss.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Pascagoula.
Services will follow at 1:45 p.m. with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating.
Interment will be in Griffin cemetery in Moss Point.

MILLER
Annie Mae Miller, 87, of Helena, Miss., died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at her home in Helena. Mrs. Miller was born
April 5, 1916, in Crystal Springs, Miss. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for United Hardware in California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claiborne and Pearl Lawless Eady.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Tresenriter of Sun City, Calif., and Judy Patt of Helena; one son, Lynn Miller of Crystal Springs; one sister, Velma Ervin of Pearl, Miss.; two brothers, Lynn Eady and Randall Eady, both of California; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Old Crystal Springs cemetery in Crystal Springs, Miss.

BISHOP
Agnes Bishop, 81, of Moss Point, Miss., Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003. She was born
March 22, 1922, in Laurel, Miss.
Mrs. Bishop had been a resident of the Jackson County area for the past 53 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Bishop; two infant sons, Billy Doyle and Kenny Wayne Bishop; her parents Robert and Martha Hayes; and four brothers, James, Johnny, Orlea and Edd Hayes.
Survivors include a son, David Lee Bishop of Moss Point; a daughter, Shirley (Ronny) Browning also of Moss Point; brother, Oden Hayes, Brookhaven, Miss.; three sister-in-laws, Ruth Walters of Lucedale, Miss., Ruby Summerall of Macon, Miss. and Betty Hayes of Pascagoula, Miss.; six grandchildren, Lori (Bobby) May, Tammy Browning, Kathy (Todd) Davis, all of Moss Point, Lee Ann (Ray) Box of Norfolk, Va., Nikki and Lonnie Bishop, both of Theodore, Ala.; four great-grandchildren, Ronny, Brittany, Jeramy and Jack; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Danny Hayes and the Rev. Steve Young officiating.
Interment will be at the Serene Memorial Garden of Escatawpa, Miss.

NELSON
Tommye Reagan Nelson, 72, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in her home in Moss Point, Miss., where he was a longtime resident.
She was the wife of the late Horace Hosea (Bubba) Nelson, is survived by four loving children and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moss Point.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles H. Reagan of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and the daughter-in-law of the late W.H. and Ruby Fails Nelson of Moss Point.
Tommye was born
in Marked Tree, Ark., on Feb. 13, 1931. She graduated from high school at the age of 15 and attended Stratford College in Danville, Va.
She completed her education at the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in social work. She was a Chi Omega legacy at the University of Alabama.
She was an airline stewardess for Southern Airways flying DC-3s. Having met her future husband through a sorority sister, she married
and settled in Moss Point.
She raised her family as a dedicated and loving mother and wife. She was a member of the Moss Point-Pascagoula Junior Auxiliary.
She began her career in social work in management in the late 1970s with Jackson County Social Services in Pascagoula, Miss.
She rose to the position of director of the Senior Citizen Program of Jackson County Civic Action and retired with that title in March of 1998.
During her retirement, she remained civically active as a board member for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program at Jackson County Youth Court and co-coordinated the annual Senior Citizens Prom with the Pascagoula Navy Auxiliary.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia (and Henry) Ford of Ackerman, Miss.; one brother, Jimmy (and Pat) Reagan of Houston, Texas; four children, Bill (and Karen) Nelson of Moss point, Reagan (and Carl) Nelson of Long Beach, Calif., Catherine (and Joe) Flynt of Diamondhead, Miss., and Frank H. Nelson of Moss Point; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Meghan Flynt of Diamondhead and Cordie and Will Nelson of Moss Point.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home on Main Street in Moss Point.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, in the Holder-Wells Chapel. The Rev. Bobby C. Perry will deliver the eulogy and the Rev. Michael Perry will give words of comfort to the family.
Burial will follow at Griffin cemetery in Moss Point, Miss.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

SUTHOFF
Winifred Dees Suthoff, 77, of Moss Point, Miss., died Dec. 26, 2003, at her residence. She was born
June 16, 1926, in Greenville, Miss.
Mrs. Suthoff was a member of Dantzler Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 60 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of Fort Nightly Club, United Methodist Women and had served as Scout leader for Troop #230.
Mrs. Suthoff was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dees.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, W.W. Suthoff of Moss Point; daughter and son in law, Karyn and Paul Davison of Pascagoula; sister and brother-in-law, Alysa and Dan Pearson of Modesto, Calif.; grandchildren, Paul Davison III and wife Kathy of Baton Rouge, La.; Lee and husband Ross Fletcher of Vancleave and Mark Davison of Savannah, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Drew Fletcher and Luke Fletcher of Vancleave; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Dantzler Memorial United Methodist Church in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. from the church with Rev. Fred Britton officiating.
Interment will be at Machpelah cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss.

CROSBY
Miss. Ruby Ollivette Ellis-Crosby was born
a twin on April 4, 1921, to the late Lafettee and Julia Geneva Ellis. Her twin brother, Rudolph Oliver Ellis, died as a toddler.
She departed this physical life on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, Miss., in the presence of children and grandchildren. Baptized at an early age, Miss. Crosby was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Point for 65 years.
Miss Ruby, as she was affectionally called by many, and she was called "Dobbie" by her brother, received her formal education in the Moss Point Colored School System and graduated with a high school diploma in 1938.
At the age of 18, she met and fell in love with Lovett "Tobe" Crosby. They were married
in 1939, and the marriage survived until his death in 1980, a total of 41 years. This union was blessed with nine children.
Miss Ruby was a devoted wife and mother. Her life as a devoted wife and mother provided her with much contentment and satisfaction. As a housewife she was able to use her God given talents to help create income for her family. She loved ironing crochet scarves.
She also loved to bake cakes from scratch and would often win first and second prizes at the Jackson County Fair. Most of all she loved gardening and growing vegetables. She was known to share much of what the family raised with other family members, neighbors and friends.
She had a unique sense of humor that brought laughter to many, especially her grandchildren who loved to visit her.
She also had a natural talent to play the piano. At family gatherings she would play her favorite rag time music. She loved people and loved to make people happy. But most of all she loved the Lord.
She showed her love by trying to live the most righteous life that she knew how. She would say, "Treat people like you want to be treated." Her loving, giving and caring ways touched the lives of many who came to knew her.
Miss Ruby will be deeply missed by her five daughters, Juliette Grissom and Muriel Crisp, Los Angeles, Calif., Ida (Willie) Lewis, Mobile, Ala., Frances Crosby, Pascagoula, Miss., and Ada Crosby, Orlando, Fla.; four sons, Marshall Crosby, Pascagoula, Miss., Alphonse (Jean) Crosby and Clinton Crosby, both of Moss Point, Miss., and Charles (Valerie) Crosby, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Yvonne Carson, Moss Point, Miss.; and one brother, Alphonse "Baby Ray" Ellis, Moss Point; one sister-in-law, Helen Ellis, New York; 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two nieces; five nephews; and loving friends and neighbors.
Viewing will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at First Baptist Church of Moss Point. Funeral services will begin promptly at 2 p.m. from the church with Pastor James O. Harris officiating. Interment will be in First Baptist cemetery, Escatawpa, Miss.

HALL
Brian Kraig Hall, 29, of Moss Point, Miss., died Dec. 23, 2003, at his residence. He was born
Jan. 24, 1974, in Pascagoula, Miss. Mr. Hall worked as an electrician with IBEW. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary W. Hall; paternal grandmother, Cleo Whitehead Hall; and maternal grandfather, Eli Willis Overman.
Survivors include his mother, Nell Overman Hall of Pascagoula, Miss.; sister, Kelli Hall of Grand Bay, Ala.; brother, Kevin Hall of Milton, Fla.; paternal grandfather, Levi Hall of Mobile, Ala.; maternal grandmother, Annie Overman of Pascagoula, Miss.; niece, Mandi Hall of Vancleave, Miss.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, from noon to 2 p.m., at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Interment will follow at Orange Grove cemetery in Moss Point.

DUNCAN
Leona Pearl Duncan, 91, of Pascagoula, Miss., died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in Pascagoula. She was born
Aug. 11, 1912, in Galpolis, Ohio and has been a resident of this area since 1967. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Duncan; brothers, Harry Gothard and Dallas Gothard; and infant daughter, Bob Ann Duncan.
She is survived by, son and daughter-in-law, Tim Monroe Duncan and Becky A. Duncan, North Escatawpa; sister, Lanora Temple, Ironton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jesse Martin Duncan, Kalli Lauren Duncan, and one great-grandson, Cameron Taylor Duncan, all of North Escatawpa.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gene Emswiller officiating.
Interment will be in Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, Miss.
