Mary was born
on December 17, 1933 to the late Bob and Sallie Ann Thomas of Edwards, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards, Mississippi.
She was employed with Metro Ramada Inn in Jackson, Mississippi for fifteen years, then later retired, after her services. Mary went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2015 at her home in Edwards, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Eddie B. Peoples; her parents; her siblings, Bobbie Lee Kinnard, Willie Ann Ford, Walter Thomas, Fannie Funches, Robert Thomas, Jr., Roosevelt Thomas, Sr., Mildred Estelle; two sons, Eddie Lee Peoples and Jerry Peoples.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Juanita Ann (Ernest) Walker, Willie Peoples, Robert Peoples, Andrew (Jacqueline) Peoples, and A.C. (Shannon) Peoples all of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Edward B. Peoples, Vera Peoples, Sally (Charlie) Tucker, Elaine Peoples, and Edith Peoples all of Edwards, Mississippi, and Sarah (Felix) Scott of Jackson, Mississippi; sisters, Selena Funches of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Flora (Norman) Miller of East St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, Prince (Vangie) Thomas of Jackson, Mississippi and Andrew (Gloria) Thomas of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and her grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Claretha Marion Spencer McKay, dutiful daughter, sister, mother, surrogate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, niece, cousin, mentor, friend, and servant and completed her earthly journey on April 15, 2015.
Claretha was barely 5ft tall, and full of spunk. She was known for her smile, sassiness, prissiness, stylish dress and hats. She loved to cook and entertain. Under the tutelage of her mother, (Birdie Spencer), grandmother (Leomy Smith), and aunt (Mary Smith) – she became both mother and father to her children; doing whatever she had to for her children; and sometimes more than she should have done.
Claretha blazed a trail for women, becoming the first female to carry mail in the City of Vicksburg in 1966. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 2001, after 35 years. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School with further studies at Tougaloo College.
Claretha was a lifelong member of Mt. Heroden Baptist Church, as her grandparents Clara and Louis Spencer Sr. were founding members of the 145 year old church. As a child, she sang in the church choir and played the piano. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of Mt. Heroden, serving on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee. In addition to her services in the church, Claretha volunteered with National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
Claretha was the oldest of two children born
to Birdie and Louis Spencer on October 23, 1937 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She is survived by six children: Rufus McKay, Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Jacqueline Mims (Rufus) of Baton Rouge, LA, Carol Williams of Vicksburg, MS, Kim McKay of Dallas, TX, Dean McKay of Vicksburg, MS and Sidney Dixon (Una) of Dallas, TX; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; a host of special family members and friends to include Phyllis Smith- Anthony, Delores Smith-Nichols, Robert Smith
(a faithful companion), Trudy Spencer, and Gwendolyn Prater.
Claretha was preceded in death by her parents Birdie and Louis Spencer; a sister Delores Spencer Newball; two children Darrell McKay and Melanie McKay Straughter; and two grandchildren Dean Wayne Johnson and LaQuittia Mims.

Ms. Theresa Adams was born
to the late Cleveland Adams, Sr. and the late Leila Wade in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Theresa accepted Christ at an early age and she was a faithful member of Mt. Alban Missionary Baptist Church.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Adams, Sr. and Leila Wade; two sisters, Veronica Heggie and Alma Jones; and her son, Anthony Adams.
She was a graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School. She moved to Chicago, Illinois where she later retired from Motorola after serving 25 years.
Theresa family will miss her, but will be awaiting the day to join her in praising the Lord in eternity. To mourn her passing, Theresa leaves behind her grandson, Datreon Adams; two god daughters, Kystral Woodard, Destiny Steward of Orlando, Florida; three brothers, Cleveland Adams, Jr. and Jerome Adams of Cleveland, Ohio and Willie Adams of Jackson, Mississippi; two aunts, Ida Price and Mary Ware both of Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Mr. Percy Monroe Williams, Sr. was born
August 16, 1935 to the parents of Mr. Ples, Sr. and Mrs. Rosie Monroe Williams. He attended and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church until his passing. He joined the United States Army 2nd Armored Division in Fort Hood, Texas and served a 2 year tour of duty in Germany.
He retired as foreman of the Gas Department, City of Vicksburg in 1997 after 25 years of service.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Mr. George Walton, and Mr. Ples Williams, Jr.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Murphy; and one daughter, Ms. Annette Williams.
1n 1962, he married
the love of his life, Ms. Lillie Mae Moore. Five children were born
of that union.
He leaves to cherish his memories: the mother of his children, Ms. Lillie M. Williams Ford; three sons, Danny R. Moore, Perry Lee Moore Franklin (Ethel) of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Percy Monroe Williams, Jr. of La Mesa, California; one daughter, Rose Mary Williams of Vicksburg, Mississippi; five step children, Lisa Williams, Diane Williams, Debra Williams, Eddie Ford and Tina Ford, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Dawn Miller, Danny R. Moore, Shondrea Franklin, Conisha Williams, Tyler Williams, Colby Williams, Calvin Powell, Brenda Powell and Glenda Powell, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi; eight step grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and step great grandchildren, all of Vicksburg, Mississippi and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

On January 23, 1970, Julia Ann Harris was born
to proud parents Carolyn Harris and David Marshall in Monroe, Louisiana. Julia accepted Christ at an early age in the Baptist Church. Julia received her education in the Warren County School System. She was an employee with the McDonald’s Corporation for over 15 years.
Julia was preceded in death by her late husband, Samuel Hardy; an infant brother Orlando, who died shortly after birth; two aunts Julia Scott and Genie B. Brown; maternal grandparents Wilbert and Abbie Harris and her paternal grandparents D.C. and Lillie Marshall.
Julia leaves to cherish her memories both parents, Carolyn Harris and David Marshall both of Vicksburg, MS; Four children, two sons, Patrick and Cory Harris; two daughters, Nikki Harris and Samantha Hardy, all of Vicksburg; six sisters, Connie Harris, Wanda (Wilbur) Boyd, Erica (George) Williams of Vicksburg; Tashika Marshall of Baton Rouge, LA; Carmelita (Kerry) Wright of Altamonte Springs, FL; and Faith Marshall of Dallas, TX. Ms. Sharon Louise Lloyd was born
May 30, 1964 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Ms. Lillie Bell Lloyd and the late Earnest Moore. Sharon accepted Christ in October of 2014 as her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Earnest Moore; her sister, Iris Elizabeth Lloyd; her grandmother, Geraldine Burse Lloyd; her grandfather, Lamar Lloyd; great-grandmother, Alberta Burse and great-grandfather, Tommy Burse.

Junior Lee “June” Nix was born
on May 20, 1959 to the late Freddie Mae Bell and late James Bell in Vicksburg, Mississippi and the late William Basket of Benoit, Mississippi. He was of the Baptist faith.
A Time to Live
Junior confessed Christ at an early age and was of the Baptist faith. He attended the Vicksburg-Warren School District. Junior enjoyed watching westerns, Fred Sanford, the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Lakers. He enjoyed listening to good music, dancing, laughing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality with his family.

Junior shared many years with his love and companion, Angeleane Jones.

On Thursday, March 26, 2015, June departed his earthly life at the Merit Health Central (formerly known as Central Mississippi Medical Center) in Jackson, Mississippi. His passing broke our hearts and we will forever love him.

Charlene M. Jones was born
on April 1, 1967 in Kansas City, Kansas. She moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi at a very early age. She spent her life living for the Lord. She was baptized at age eleven and spent over thirty-five years serving on the Usher Board of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Freetown until her demise. Charlene recently retired after twenty years at Cooper Lighting Company (Eaton).
Charlene M. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; Percy Jones and Julia Be Jones; her grandparents, Beatrice Norfort and Robert Norfort.
Charlene M. Jones departed this world on March 25, 2015 from Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Her memories will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Rev. F. W. Wilson was born
on December 14, 1925 in Vicksburg, MS to the late Mary & Willie Wilson. He was united in Marriage to the late Lucinda Wilson on November 6, 1946. Their union produced fourteen children. Rev. Wilson confessed Christ at an early age and served faithfully until his passing.
Rev. Wilson departed this life on March 26, 2015 at Merit Health River Region. He was 89 years old. Rev. Wilson was the pastor of Mt. Eden M.B. Church of the Valley Park Community and Morning Star M.B. Church of Eagle Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 ½ years Lucinda Wilson; parents, Mary & Willie Wilson; a brother Herman Wilson; two daughters Shirley Wilson and Bettye Bailey; one son, Albert Wilson and a grandson Calvin Wilson. Rev. Wilson was a retired employee of Anderson-Tully.
Rev. Wilson is survived by six daughters, Julia W. James, LeVern W. Powell, Dr. Dylinda Wilson-Younger (Roscoe), and Cynthia Wilson of Vicksburg, Dr. Barbara Wilson of Clinton and Cheryl Wilson-Hall (Sammie) of Memphis, Tennessee; five sons, Barney Wilson (Vicki) of Vicksburg and the Reverend Robert Wilson (Jessie), The Reverend Flem Wilson, Jr. (Celeste), Herman Wilson and the Reverend Joe Wilson of Las Vegas, Nevada; 30 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Annie Riles of Las Vegas, Nevada and Delia Dennis of Greenville, Mississippi; one brother-in-law, John L. Davis of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mother Amie Lee Price Flagg left this life on March 25, 2015 surrounded by her family and friends. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Amie was born
on September 21, 1929 to the late Jasper and Emma Neal. She was the fifth child born. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She attended Belmont School.
She married
the love of her life, James Flagg, Sr., and joined Belmont Missionary Baptist Church. She was the oldest member of the church and served on the mother board. Mother Flagg enjoyed attending church, Bible class, Sunday school, reading God's Word, cooking, shopping, (especially at her daughter's boutique in Chicago and looking good with those fabulous suits, hats, and shoes matching from head to toe. She also enjoyed watching family feud, canning, gardening, babysitting, watching The Young and the Restless and making sure that her yard was cleaned; talking on the telephone (Beulah Lee will miss their cooking conversations) and being with her family and friends.
In addition to her passing, Mrs. Amie was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Emma Neal Price; four sisters, Sadie Price Chillis (William, Deceased), Bertha Price Gibson (Clarence, Sr.), Helen Price Cox (Elbert, deceased) and Ruby Price Gaston; one brother, Jasper Price, Jr.; stepmother, Marcella Price; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jonas and Della Flagg; three sisters-in-law, Birdie Mae Flagg Mace (Huell), Maggie Cassell (Earnest, deceased), Clementine Flagg Washington (Fred, deceased); and one brother-in-law, Willie B. Flagg.

Mrs. Lorraine Hunter Bryant was born
June 4, 1956 to Willie Hunter, Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Pinkney Hunter. She passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
Lorraine is preceded in death by: her father, Willie Hunter, Sr.; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Pinkney Hunter; and her stepfather, William Houston.
