WOODVILLE - Services for Bessie Mae Stewart, 50, of Woodville, who died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 at Fields Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be 12 noon today at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Palmer officiating.
Burial will be in the Cedar Rest #2 under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stewart was born
Jan. 13, 1954, in Mississippi, the daughter of the late Alex Bynum Jr. and Clara Bynum.
She was a seamstress for William Carter Company. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Stewart of Woodville; daughter, Kimble Nate' Stewart of Woodville; son, Kendrick L. Stewart of Woodville; four sisters, Udell Murphy of New Orleans, La., Elease Sullivan, Barbara Bynum, and Cynthia Bynum, all of Woodville; brother, Leo Bynum of Woodville; and grandson, Kendell D. Harrison of Woodville.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

WOODVILLE - Services for Ethel W. Lane, 66, of New Orleans, La., who died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 in New Orleans, La., will be 1 p.m. today at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. George Norflin officiating.
Burial will be in the St. James Baptist Church cemetery under the direction of Williams and Williams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lane was the daughter of the late Leo Webb and Carrie Curtis.
She was a Baptist and a member of St. James Baptist Church and a former member of James Chapel of New Orleans, La. She was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, David Lane of St. Rose, La.; daughter, Cassandra Lane of New Orleans, La.; four sons, Michael, James, David Jr., and Carl Lane, all of St. Rose, La.; sister, Irma (Mose) Lindsey of Zachary, La.; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nichols was born
Mar. 6, 1922, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late George King and Rosie Liggins.
She was a Baptist and a member of the mother board at Jessamine Ridge Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Nichols Sr.; son, Felix Nichols; and daughter, Earlene Nichols.
Survivors include two sons, Jessie Nichols Jr. of Fayette and Summit Nichols of Baton Rouge, La.; seven daughters, Teresa Malone, Carrie Colenburg, Lauretta Humes, Etta Nichols, and Rosie King, all of Fayette, Frances Smith of Roxie, and Shirley Nichols of Vicksburg; two brothers, Lawrence King of Fayette and William Nichols of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Maggie Young of Chicago, Ill.; 44 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Jacks was born
Apr. 18, 1928, in Brookhaven, the son of the late Ira Forrest Jacks and Pearl Keen Jacks.
He was a minister and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Becky Jacks Hawkins; and a nephew, John Paul Jodiet.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Seyfarth Jacks of Meadville; son, Edgar Jacks Jr. of Meadville; daughter, Pat Jacks Farmer of Crystal Springs; three grandchildren, Christi Hawkins Brantley of Monticello, Ira Jacks of Meadville, and Ashley Farmer of Crystal Springs; one great grandchild, Kasey Brantley of Monticello; sister, Viola (Bill) Jodiet of Waldorf, Md.

Ms. Owens was born
Feb. 2, 1923, the daughter of Hattie Owens and Eulicus Owens.
She was retired and a member and usher at Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Owens was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother, Julius Wilson Sr.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Katie Wilson of Chicago, Ill., Alisha and Shameka Wilson, Julius Wilson II, Donald and Alice Wilson, all of Natchez, Robert and Wyvonna Kettley of Woodville; and god son, Alexander (Elizabeth) White of LaPlace, La.

NATCHEZ - Services for Richard Curtis Jr., 73, who died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004 at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.
Burial will be at United Progressive Church in Kingston under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Processional will leave at 12:20 p.m. Saturday from the funeral home.
Mr. Curtis was born
May 14, 1931, in Adams County, the son of the late Richard Curtis Sr. and Ophelia Harris Curtis.
He was a Baptist and a member of St. James Baptist Church Usher Board, Senior Choir and a member of the All Male Chorus.
He was employed with the City of Natchez.
Survivors include his wife, Eddie Lea Conner Curtis of Natchez; two daughters, Carolyn Conner (Michael) Good and Shirley Reason, both of Natchez, and adopted daughter, Tiffany Conner of Natchez; five sons, Richard (Jackie) Curtis III, Aaron (Carrie) Curtis, Lonnell (Norma) Conner, Charles (Ted) Wilson, all of Natchez, Robert (Ajure) Curtis of Ridgeland; eleven grandchildren; three sister, Rosie Curtis and Mary Nelson, both of Natchez, and Beatrice Smith of St. Louis, Mo.; special cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Session and Estella Harris; a special friend, Mary Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Armstead, Larry Jackson, Darnell Barnes, Robert Armstead, Elbert Winding, and Melvin Myles.
