Louise Burns Aubic

NATCHEZ - Services for Louise Burns Aubic, 90, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 18, 2003, at her residence, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Basilica with the Revs. Alfred Camp and Mike O'Brien officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a rosary service to be held at 7 p.m., today at the church.
Mrs. Aubic was born
April 11, 1913, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert Emmett and Lena Stier Burns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Aubic; one son, John L. Aubic III; two brothers, Robert Burns and Conner Burns; and four sisters, Kathleen Dickey, Anna Robson, Elsie burns and Martha Brown.
Survivors include one son, Jack L. Aubic, and his wife, Janet, of Natchez; two grandchildren, Jack L. Aubic Jr. and Mary Beth Aubic; one brother, Charles M. Burns of Natchez; two sisters, Nell Burns Phillips and Leona Burns Carter, both of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be his nephews: Conner Robson, Max Burns, Pat Carter, Barr Brown, Charles Conner Burns and Jeff Phillips.
Marie Caston Montgomery Hopkins
NATCHEZ - Services for Marie Caston Montgomery Hopkins, 71, of Natchez, who died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ernest Lee Dixon
April 3, 1947 - July 15, 2003
ROXIE - Services for Ernest Lee Dixon, 56, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Roxie First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Dixon was born
April 3, 1947, in Adams County, the son of Albert Dixon and Lucy Jones.
Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
Survivors include one brother, Albert Dixon of Pasadena, CA; two sisters, Katherine Vanderson and Geraldine Dixon, both of Natchez; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Eleanor Scroggins "Tiny" Powell
Feb. 22, 1926 - July 13, 2003
NATCHEZ - Services for Eleanor Scroggins "Tiny" Powell, 77, of Natchez, who died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in Birmingham, Ala., was at 10 a.m. July 16 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dennis Flach officiated.
Burial was in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mrs. Powell was born
Feb. 22, 1926, in Andalusia, Ala., the daughter of Sydney and Carrie Jones Scroggins.
She was a member of the New Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dennis Powell; great-grandchild, Charles Dennis Powell Davis III; three brothers, Richard, Nathan and Joe; and a sister, Jean.
Survivors include daughter, Diane Davis of Birmingham, Ala.; three grandchildren, John Wallace II and his wife, April of Albertville, Ala., Tara Davis of Birmingham and Powell Davis and his wife, Lori of Birmingham; five great-grandchildren, Holly, Brandi, Ben, Noah and Jack; two sisters, Doris Bull Dothan of Alabama and Ethelyn Campbell of Andalusia, Ala. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Powell Davis, John Davis, Danny Curran, Greg Bodiford, Eddie Bunn and Richard Dousack.
William Francis Rogillio
June 26, 1922 - July 14, 2003
NATCHEZ - Services for William Francis Rogillio, 81, of Natchez, who died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Judson W. Hurt and the Rev. Paul Stephens officiating.
Burial will be in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Rogillio was born
June 26, 1922, in Natchez, the son of Douglas Stampley and Ethel Farmer Hughes Rogillio, Sr.
He attended Natchez Public Schools, graduating from Natchez High School in 1941. Mr. Rogillio joined the US Marines in World War II and was sent to Guadalcanal with the 1st Marine Division. He returned to the states and entered US Navy flight school to become a Marine pilot. He came home in 1945 and began work with Humble Oil Company, now Exxon/Mobil. He retired after 41 years of service and returned to Natchez. Mr. Rogillio was a member of First Baptist Church. He was also a member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge #2, Grand York Rite Body, Natchez Chapter and Council, Shriners Temple, Wahabi Temple of Jackson, Natchez Shrine Club, Natchez American Legion Post #4 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Mr. Rogillio was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Douglas S. Rogillio, Jr.; and his sister-in-law, Thelma Rogillio.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Annis Elizabeth Kuehn Rogillio of Natchez; a son, William F. Rogillo, Jr. and his wife, Janet of Fairfield, TX; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Anderson and her husband, David of Carthage, TX; five grandchildren, William M. Anderson and wife, Allison of Manilla, Phillipines, LeeAnn Anderson of London, England, Laura Anderson of Dallas, TX, Amanda Cathleen Rogillio of Bryan, TX and Emily Anne Rogillio of Fairfield, TX; one great-grandchild, Abigail Renee Anderson of Manilla, Phillipines.
Pallbearers will be Kirby Dillingham, Jennings Dixon, Hugh Freeman, Joe Hogan, Douglas S. Rogillio, III, Maxwell Simonton, Ralph O. Thompson, III and Garnell Webb.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Natchez, MS or a charity of choice.
Alma Lee Tenner Scott
April 15, 1941 - July 9, 2003
NATCHEZ - Services for Alma Lee Tenner Scott, 62, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La., was held at 11 a.m. July 15 at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel where Brother Herman Jackson officiated.
Burial was in the Tenner Family cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Mrs. Scott was born
April 15, 1941, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Anderson Tenner Sr. and Clara Bell Tenner.
She was an aircraft support mechanic.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by two brothers, James Tenner and Anderson Tenner Jr.
Survivors include four sons, David Patterson and his wife, Nadean of Natchez, Gregory Patterson and his wife, Peggy of Moreno Valley, Calif., Curtis Patterson of Hawthorne, Calif. and Kelvin Patterson and his wife, Divetha of Hesperica, Calif.; parents, Anderson Tenner Sr. and Clara Bell Tenner of Natchez; eight siblings, Charlie Tenner of Natchez, Rosie Patterson and spouse, Seclester of Ga., Bertha Jackson and spouse, Herman, Ruby Whitmore and spouse, Timothy of Natchez, Dorothy Harris of Natchez, Simon Tenner and spouse, Sandra of Calif., Eva Davis and spouse, Loyd of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren, Donte' Patterson, Brandi Patterson, Deon Patterson, Kevion Patterson and Micheal Patterson; five great-grandchildren; three aunts, Mary Louise Tenner and Nettie Mae Tenner of Natchez and Arzelia Ware of St. Louis, Mo.; 17 special nieces and 11 nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Cornelius Tenner, Grover Tenner, Don Tenner, Joe Tenner, Kenneth Whitmore and Loyd Davis.

Irene "Houdie" Wilson Berry
BLUE HILL - Services for Irene "Houdie" Wilson Berry, 66, of McBride, who died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Baptist Church with the Rev. Dexter Jones officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John Baptist Church cemetery in Pattison under the direction of Spencer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. and family hour from 5 to 7 p.m. tody at the funeral home.
She was a resident of McBride and a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where she was on the mother board.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Berry Sr.; three daughters, Mary E. (Peggy) Berry, Rosetta Betty Berry and Zula M. Ward; four brothers, V.L. Wilson, Mammon Wilson, James Wilson and Wiley Wilson III; two sisters, Octavia Johnson and Mary Eliza Perkins.
Survivors include three daughters, Evangelist Josephine Freeman of Caseyville, Susie Ann Robertson of Pattison and Lillie Walker of Vicksburg; three sons, Elbert Berry Jr. of Pattison, Edward L. Berry Sr. of Fayette and Nathan Berry of Russum; one brother-in-law, Kelly Dee Sr.; three aunts, Josie Wilson, Everline White and Thelma Wilson; 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends including the Wrens, Rankin, Thomas, Berry, Wilson, Reed, Trevillion, Shorter, Hedrick and Burnette families.
Alma Lee Scott
NATCHEZ -- Funeral services for Alma Lee Scott, 62, of Natchez, who died July 9, 2003, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at George F. West Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Tenner cemetery.
Mr. Scott was born
in Natchez, the son of Anderson Scott Sr. and Clara Bell Tenner. He was a high school graduate and a retired aircraft mechanic. He was a member of the American Cancer Society and enjoyed walking and reading. He was a Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include his parents, David Gregory Curtis, Kelvin Patterson and Nadean Patterson.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Edwin F. "Ed" Harvey, Jr.
Oct. 16, 1946 - July 9, 2003
NATCHEZ - Services for Edwin F. "Ed" Harvey, Jr., 56, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McNeely Road Church of God with Bishop L. Paul Hays, Rev. Julius Roberts, Rev. Rudy Rodriguez and Rev. Albert Fraley officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Harvey was born
Oct. 16, 1946, in Columbia, the son of Edwin Flauzell and Grace Marie Dunaway Harvey, Sr.
He was a member and Elder of McNeely Road Church of God where he served as Vice-President of Life Builders Ministries. He was employed as general sale manager of Natchez Ford Lincoln Mercury.
Mr. Harvey was preceded in death by his father, Edwin F. Harvey, Sr. and mother, Grace Harvey Chapman.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Traylor Harvey of Natchez; sons, Michael A. Harvey of Houston, TX and Jason A. Harvey and his wife, Brandy Book Harvey of Natchez; grandson, Haiden S. Harvey.
The following employees of Natchez Ford Lincoln Mercury will serve as pallbearers, Charles R. Yarbrough, Brad O. Yarbrough, Jimmy D. Bazemore, Luther B. Jones, Joel E. Street and Timothy R. Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harry E. Staley and Christopher J. San Roman.
