Mr. Walter Lewis Graham

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lewis Graham, 90, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville. The Rev. Charles Gibson officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Winston County, Mr. Graham was a retired brickmason. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville. Mr. Graham died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at Care Center of Louisville.

Survivors include six daughters, Polly Triplett, Faye Moore and Gloria Carter, all of Louisville, Annie Carter of Noxapater, Imogene Atkins of Chicago, Ill., and Marie Brown of Murfreesboro, Tenn. ; three sons, Prentiss Graham, Evan Graham and Tony Curtis Graham, all of Louisville; 50 grandchildren and 140 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Minnie Dorothy Hickman

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Dorothy Hickman, 84, were held at 11 a. m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Maple Spring United Methodist Church in Louisville. The Rev. Veasley officiated. Burial followed in Gage Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Hickman was a homemaker. Mrs. Hickman died Friday, December 19, 2003 at Presbyterian Home in High Point, N. C.

Survivors include two daughters, Flossie Boyd-McIntyre of Jamestown, N. C. and Bobbie Jean Watts of Greenwood; two sons, Henry O. Hickman and Benjamin L. Hickman, both of Chicago, Ill. ; one sister, Reather L. Boyd Bussie of Chicago, Ill. ; one brother, Glazer Boyd of Ackerman; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Mr. John Phillips, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. John Phillips, Sr., 70, were held at 1 p. m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Meridian. The Rev. Zacary R. Finley officiated.

Mr. Phillips died Sunday, December 21, 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Sara E. Phillips; seven sons, John Phillips of Texas City, Texas, Richard Phillips of Haynesville, Ala., one Terrance Eason, John Eason, Louis Eason, Mark Eason and Carlos Eason, all of Meridian; three daughters, Rosie Phillips and Nicole Phillips, both of Haynesville, Ala., and Monique Eason of Meridian; two brothers, Moody Phillips and Leon Walk, both of Meridian; six sisters, Ellen Watson, Joyce Phillips, Fannie Phillips, Lucy Phillips and Annie Carrie Phillips, all of Meridian, and Bernell Phillips of Moss Point and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Narsis Coleman

Funeral services for Mrs. Narsis Coleman, 74, were held at 2 p. m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Louisville. The Rev. Joseph Etua officiated. Burial followed in Rockport Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church of Louisville. Mrs. Coleman died Monday, December 22, 2003 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Survivors include five daughters, Annie Joyce Combest and Dianne Gill, both of Louisville, Sherri Tarwanda Coleman of Memphis, Tenn., and Ella Fox and Shirley Ann Coleman, both of Ashtabula, Ohio; eight sons, Gerald Coleman, Jr. of Flint, Mich., Billy Edward Coleman and David Allen Coleman, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Phillip Coleman of Atlanta, Ga., Hilbert Coleman of Ashtabula, Ohio, Dennis Coleman of Jacksonville, N. C., Donnie Ray Coleman of Louisville and Ricky Coleman of Tuscaloosa, Ala. ; five sisters, Mary Johnson and Catherine Riddle, both of Chicago, Ill., Bernice Jean Miller and Joy Miller, both of Ashtabula, Ohio and Ludie Yarbrough of Flint, Mich. and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Willie V. Carter Hathorn

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie V. Carter Hathorn, 91, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Mt. Talley Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Elder James A. Young officiated.

A native of Winston County, Mrs. Hathorn was a resident of Moss Point. She was a member of Mt. Talley Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Mrs. Hathorn died Monday, December 22, 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Glenn Hathorn and George Hathorn, both of Moss Point, and T. Hathorn of Louisville; three daughters, Ethel Mae Gill of Philadelphia, Merlene Jackson of St. Louis, Mo., and Edna Earl Monroe of Moss Point; one sister, Lessie Carter of Noxapater; one stepsister, Vattie Carter of Noxapater; three stepbrothers, Edgar Young of Philadelphia, Irving Young of Venus, Ill., and Eugene Young of St. Paul, Minn. ; 41 grandchildren; 97 great grandchildren and 43 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Ralph Lee Carter, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Lee Carter, Sr., 89, were held at 10 a. m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. The Rev. Kevin White officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater.

A resident of Noxapater, Mr. Carter was a retired salesman for Cole Brothers. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a member of Noxapater Baptist Church and served for six years in the United States Navy. Mr. Carter died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Kemp Carter of Noxapater; two sons, Jerry Kemp Carter of Noxapater and William C. Carter of Jackson; two brothers, Charles Howard Carter of Louisville and Frank Carter of Orange, Texas, and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were William Kemp, Charles H. Carter, Jr., Marc McCool, Webb Boswell, Jr., Damien Powe and Brian Bennett.

Nowell-Tilghman Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nathaniel Henry Geter

Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel Henry Geter, 44, were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Beck Funeral Home in Louisville. The Rev. Billy Clay officiated. Burial followed in Ruth Cemetery.

A native of Macon, Mr. Geter was a laborer. He was a member of Little Member Missionary Baptist Church in Macon. Mr. Geter died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include one daughter, Latonya Denis Wilborn of Macon; five sisters, Katherine Geter, Jeanette Jernigan, Mabeline Geter and Lora Anne Geter, all of Louisville, and Mary Lyon of Madison; one brother, Robert Ike Geter of Milwaukee, Wisc., and two grandchildren.

Mr. Joseph Lavelle Knight

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Lavelle Knight, 89, were held at 11 a. m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 at First Baptist Church in Louisville. Dr. Don Boone and Dr. Jimmy Porter officiated. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery in the House community.

A native of the House community in Neshoba County and resident of Louisville, Mr. Knight was a retired employee of the Mississippi State Board of Health, having served the organization for 40 years following six years of teaching school. A graduate of East Central Community College, the University of Southern Mississippi and East Tennessee State University, he served two terms as the president of the Mississippi Public Health Association. Mr. Knight was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, where he served as a deacon for 25 years, earning the honor of lifetime deacon. He was a member of the church choir and the Louisville Quartet. Mr. Knight died Tuesday, December 23, 2003.

Survivors include his wife, Faithy Reynolds Knight of Louisville; one daughter, Faye Fancher of Houston, Texas; one son, Jeff Knight of Davenport, Okla. ; two sisters, Opal Bryant of Starkville and Juanita Herrington of Philadelphia; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Don Fancher, Jeff Fancher, Jeff Knight, Jr., Jospeh "Joey" Knight, Sam Rush, Jr., Tod Sikes, Markel Smith and Don Parks.

Funeral services for Mrs. Theola Goss, 79, were held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville. The Rev. W. L. Hightower officiated. Burial followed in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Goss was a homemaker. She was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville. Mrs. Goss died Thursday, December 25, 2003 at her home in Louisville.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary McDade of Chicago, Ill. ; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Goss and Ollie Mae Clark, both of Louisville and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mills, 49, were held at 11 a. m. Monday, December 29, 2003 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Pearl. Burial followed in Center Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery in Louisville.

A native of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Mills was a resident of Pearl and was employed with Richard Schwartz. Mrs. Mills died Thursday, December 25, 2003 at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Survivors include her parents, Everett and Ida Garner of Mobile, Ala. ; two sisters, Barbara Long of Brandona and Vicki Parkhill of Gulfport and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Morgan, David Parkhill, Tyler Morgan, Christopher Garner, Danny Mills, Dallas Mills and Joshua Mills.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213 or to Baptist Children's Village, 805 Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39209.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Douglass, 97, were held at 11 a. m. Monday, December 29, 2003 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Macon. Brother Allen Mapp officiated.

A native of Monroe County, Mrs. Douglass was a homemaker and a resident of Macon. She was a 1924 graduate of Macon High School and a member of X-Prairie Methodist Church since 1923. Mrs. Douglass died Friday, December 26, 2003 at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Survivors include one son, Lee Douglass of Louisville and one grandson, Leonard Douglass of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Thomas Roberson of Chicago, Ill. ; five sisters, Elmar Darden, Nancy Bell Colvin, Eliza Ford and Berta Glenn, all of Louisville, and Nettie Carter of Chicago, Ill. ; two brothers, Johnny D. Glenn of Preston and Paul Glenn of Muskegon, Mich. ; 28 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mr. Edwin "B. B. " Earl Conner

Funeral services for Mr. Edwin "B. B" Earl Conner, 69, were held at 11 a. m. Friday, January 2, 2004 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Preston. The Rev. Thomas Doss officiated.

A native of Kemper County, Mr. Conner was a retired fruit field supervisor, having spent 35 years in Orlando, Fla. He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Conner died Sunday, December 28, 2003.

Survivors include three daughters, Wonda Joiner and Chantae Conner, both of St. Pete, Fla., and Sherry Hansford of Topeka, Kan. ; one son, Jermaine Florence of Orlando, Fla. ; one stepdaughter, Schree Beller of St. Pete, Fla. ; four stepsons, Ronald Sanders, Dale Sanders, Calvin Sanders and Terry Sanders, all of Orlando, Fla. ; two sisters, Tommie Winters and Thelma Moore, both of Chicago, Ill. ; 27 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
