Funeral services were held November 15, 2002, for Annie Lucille Graham, 94, at Mount Calvary M. B. Church. Burial was at Mount Calvary M. B. Church. She died November 9, 2002. Rev. E. C. Pittman officiated.
Graham was born in Winston County in Aug. 28, 1908. She was a retired public school teacher and member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Fulwiley of Harrisburg, PA and Emma Spiva of Jackson; one son, Obbie Graham of Louisville; one sister Mary Hudgies of Laurel; and twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Dee McCool

Funeral services were held November 11, 2002, for Dee McCool, 72, at Noxapater Methodist Church. Burial followed at Noxapater Methodist Church Cemetery in Noxapater. He died November 8, 2002. Rev. Tommy Murphy officiated.
Born Aug 23, 1930, McCool was a farmer and retired Georgia Pacific Forestry Department worker. He was a member of the Noxapater Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Estes McCool of Louisville; three sons, Michael McCool and Sabrina McCool of Ridgeland, Marc McCool and Carrie McCool of Louisville, Robert McCool and Pam McCool of Louisville; three sisters, Nella Staten of Jackson, Evelyn Ray of Jackson, Grace Luckett of Canton; 5 grandchildren, Gwen LaRose of Ridgeland, Tyler McCool, Lindsey McCool Katie McCool and Peyton McCool all of Louisville; one great grandchild Chloe LaRose of Ridgeland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Billy Wayne Weaver

Funeral services were held November 19, 2002, for Billy Wayne Weaver, 59, at Chester Baptist Church. Burial followed at Chester Baptist Church Cemetery in Choctaw County. He died November 16, 2002. Rev. Russel Mord officiated.
Born July 22, 1943 in Choctaw county, Weaver was a retired district manager for 4-county Electric Power Association and an electrician. He was a member of Chester Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Lois H. Weaver of Ackerman; daughter, Andrea Myers of Starkville; son, David Weaver of Starkville; brother, Jerry Weaver of Ackerman; sister, Jolene Stewart of Ackerman; three grandchildren and fiance, Janice Benson of Starkville.

Rev. Clarence Ezra Vice

Funeral services were held November 18, 2002, for Rev. Clarence Ezra Vice, 95, at Wise Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery in Winston County. He died November 2, 2002.
Vice was a Bi-vocational minister for 54 years. His ministry began at Gattman Holiness Church in Monroe County. He also pastored the Bethany Church of God in Montgomery County. His last pastorate was the Mathiston Revival Center where he was a member. He was married to Velma L. Wilson for 68 years.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Wilson Vice of Eupora; daughter, Margie Venita Sanders of Weir; son, Bruce Aaron Vice of West Point; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Watkins was a retired minister and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Watkins of McCool.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruthie A. Triplett of Louisville; son, Alvin T. Triplett of Noxapater; sister, Elgie Gholston of Noxapater; three brothers, Rev. A. B. Gavin of Louisville, Rev. Talmage Gavin and Sylvester Gavin of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren and one step grandchild.

Born Jan. 8, 1952 in Noxapater, Davis was a janitorial supervisor at Silver Star Casino.
She is survived by her husband, Willie C. Davis of Noxapater; daughter, Brittany Davis of Noxapater; two sons, Willie V. Davis of Syracuse, NY, and Demarcus Davis of Noxapater; mother, Billie D. Fulwiley of Noxapater; two sisters, Edna Fulwiley of Noxapater and Faye Fulwiley of Syracuse, NY; two brothers, Jimmy Fulwiley of Louisville and Ralph Fulwiley of Noxapater; and one grandchild.

Naomi Willis Ryals

Funeral services for Naomi Willis Ryals, 89, were held Oct. 28 at Porter Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Lloyd officiating. Interment followed at Plattsburg Baptist Cemetery in Louisville.
Born Nov. 24, 1912 in Neshoba County, Ryals was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She died at the Care Centere in Louisville on Oct. 27.
She is survived by one daughter, Caroline Cummins of Louisville; two sons, Howard Ryals and Roy T. Ryals both of Louisville; three sisters Hazel Johnson of Philadelphia, Dixie Jordan of Kosciusko, and Zudye Bell Smith of Philadelphia; one brother, Dr. Lester Willis of Ecru; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Geneva Hill Burkes

Funeral services for Geneva Hill Burkes, 87, were held Oct. 30 at Nowell Funeral Home with Joyce Murphy and Kenneth Hall officiating. Interment followed at Fulton Cemetery in Winston County.
Born Sept. 5, 1915 in DeKalb, Burkes was a retired Assistant Dietician at the Tri-County Nursing Home.
She is survived by two daughters, Dot Knighton of Louisville and Gean huntley of Buckhead, GA; one son, Don Burkes of Dothan, AL; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Freeman Burkes and grandson Curtis Huntley.

Bessie M. Witcher

Services for Bessie M. Witcher, 85, of Ackerman, were held October 21, 2002 at Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman with Rev. Bob Mamrak officiating and burial in French Camp Cemetery.
Mrs. Witcher died October 19, 2002 at Choctaw County Nursing Home of Heart Failure. She was a Homemaker/Housewife and a Member of French Camp Baptist Church.
Mrs. Witcher is survived by three sons, Vernon C. Witcher of Jackson, Ms, Cordell Witcher of Kosciusko, Thomas Witcher of Hattisburg, MS; five daughters, May Belle Reibsamen of Richmond, VA, Nannie Witcher of East Ridge, TN, Hazel Oswalt of Ackerman, Linda Foster of Meridian, Shirley Box of Kosciusko, 10 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren.

James T. 'Buddy' Davis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- James T. 'Buddy' Davis, 62, was killed in an automobile accident in Memphis on Oct. 20.
Mr. Davis was born Jan. 1, 1940, to Filder and Willie M. Davis in Eupora. He worked for many years for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was owner of Davis Enterprises in Memphis.
Survivors include two sons, James T. Davis and Michael Davis; two daughters, Sherry Blackwell and Judy Davis; three grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren, all of Little Rock, Ark. ; and two sisters, Mary Kimble of Wappapello, Mo. , and Betty Nail of Columbus.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert W. Davis and Donald R. Davis.
Graveside services were Oct. 25 at Eupora City Cemetery with the Rev. William Stewart officiating.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Henry E. Harrison
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Henry E. Harrison, 90, of Montgomery, Ala. , died Oct. 17.
Mr. Harrison was born and raised in the Eupora area.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Leona G. Harrison; two daughters, Bonnie G. Smith and Shirley H. Watkins and her husband, Ralph; two sisters, Lettie Ree Roberts of Eupora and Lois Broadway of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Bob Smith, Jimmy Smith, Mike Watkins and Mark Watkins; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 19 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Millbrook Men's Sunday School class of Millbrook Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
