Henry E. Harrison
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Henry E. Harrison, 90, of Montgomery, Ala., died Oct. 17, 2002.
Mr. Harrison was born and raised in the Eupora area.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Leona G. Harrison; two daughters, Bonnie G. Smith and Shirley H. Watkins and her husband, Ralph; two sisters, Lettie Ree Roberts of Eupora and Lois Broadway of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Bob Smith, Jimmy Smith, Mike Watkins and Mark Watkins; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 19 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Millbrook Men's Sunday School class of Millbrook Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Montgomery.
Thomas Seth Johnson
STARKVILLE -- Thomas Seth Johnson, 20, died at his residence in Maben on Oct. 22, 2002.
Mr. Johnson, who was born in Hinds County, was a student at East Mississippi Community College. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Maben.
Survivors include his mother, Susan Johnson of Kilmichael; his father, Thomas Johnson of Maben; and two brothers, Cass Johnson and Andy Lamar Johnson of Maben.
Services were Oct. 25 at First Baptist Church of Maben with the Revs. Randle Poss, Brian Amason and James Reed officiating. Burial was in Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Cemetery Fund. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville was in charge of arrangements.
Mamie Lee Medders
Mamie Lee Medders, 69, of Mathiston died Oct. 2, 2002 at Webster Health Services.
Mrs. Medders, a homemaker, was born in Choctaw County on Oct. 12, 1932. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mathiston.
Survivors include her husband, James Alton Medders of Mathiston; two daughters, Linda Faye Medders of Mathiston and Anita Medders Chambers of Joppa, Ala.; a son, Charles Medders of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 5 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Coy Fulgham and Douglas Browning officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisghah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Medders Jr., Wesley Murphy, Jerry Fountain, Doug Naron, Kenneth Prisock and Clyde Medders.
Michael Adcock Kemp
Funeral services for Michael Adcock Kemp, 48, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 in the Tilgham Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Ingrain, officiating and Rev. Bobby Joe Butler, assisting
Burial was in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
He died at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN.

Mr. Kemp was a graduate of Mississippi State University and an avid MSU fan. He was a member of the MSU Bulldog Club. He was also a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Ann Kemp of Cordova, TN; mother, Peggy Joyce Kemp of Louisville; Step-son, Luke Mosley of Fulton; two sisters: JoAnn Dempsey (Jimmy Boyd) of Louisville, Vicky Dempsey (Gerald Ray) of Louisville; one brother: Cecil Kemp, Jr. (Patty Ruth) of Franklin, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father,Cecil Kemp, Sr.

Clara Chambliss Chappell

Funeral services for Clara Chambliss Chappell, 89, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2002 in the Tilgham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeny Lundy, officiating and Rev. Henry Thornton, assisting.
Burial was in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
She died at Winston Medical Center in Louisville.

Mrs. Chappell was a homemaker and member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and past church clerk for six years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Fay Chappell Boothe and husband Joe Boothe of College Station,, TX; one son, Richard Chappell and wife Jane Chappell of Byram; two sisters, Donie Whitehead of LouisviIle, Elsie Kirk and husband William of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Jewell Chambliss of Louisville; one brother-in-law:J.V. Talbert of Sequin, TX; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren
A host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by his husband: Clem Chappell; two daughters Joy Chappell Woodruff, Ida Mae Chappell; one son, Clement Chappell; and grandson, Brian Chappell.
Saul T Worthy
Funeral services for Saul T Worthy, 75, were held Oct. 25 at Little Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. C. L. Guyse officiating. Interment followed at the Little Calvary Baptist Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville.
Born Sept. 27, 1927 in Louisville, Worthy was a retired auto worker and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of Little Calvary Baptist Missionary Baptist Church. He died at his home on Oct. 17.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Carter Worthy of Louisville; three daughters, Linda Liggins of Saginaw, MI, Mary Kay Worthy of Omaha, NE, and Ann Swann of Fresno, TX; three sons, Curtis Worthy of McCool, Larry Worthy of Atlanta, GA, and Ricky Worthy of Saginaw, MI; three brothers, Booker T. Worthy and J. D. Worthy both of Milwaukee, WI and Jerry Worthy of Saginaw, MI; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Eddie Mae Hudson
Funeral services for Eddie Mae Hudson, 81, were held Oct. 24 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Interment followed at the at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville.
Born April 7, 1921 in Louisville, Hudson was a homemaker and and member Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She died at her daughter's home in Davenport, IA on Oct. 17.
She is survived by one son, Bailey Gaitheright of Davenport, IA; 8 daughters, Virgie Lampkin and Emma Triplett both of Louisville; Quilma Burrage, Dorrothy Jones, Mildred Everett, Callie Parks, Olivia Jones and Sheila Smith of Davenport, IA; two sisters, Veonia Jones and Christine Walker both of Louisville; 31 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

June Love Leggett
Services for Mrs. June Love Leggett, 80, of Mathiston, were held November 7, 2002 at Fellowship Baptist Church and interment in Fellowship Cemetery in Choctaw County.
Mrs. Leggett died November 5, 2002 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a Homemaker and a Member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Leggett was a longtime contributing editor of the "Fellowship News" in the Webster Progress, Choctaw Plaindealer and Choctaw Chronicle Newspapers. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Vollie Leggett.
Survivors: Sons, Edward Leggett of Mathiston, MS, Floyd Leggett of Mathiston, Malloy Leggett of West Point, MS; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Master Sergeant Jesse Davis Kerr
Funeral services were held November 14, 2002, for Master Sergeant Jesse Davis Kerr, 67, at Porter Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville. Burial was at Hopewell Cemetery. He died November 11, 2002. Rev. James Yarbrough officiated.
Born Feb. 8, 1935 in Choctaw County, Kerr was retired from U.S. Air Force and served in Korea and Vietnam. He earned the rank of Master Sergeant while in the service.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Smith Kerr of McCool; his two daughters, Deborah Kerr of Slidell, LA, and Betty L. smith of Quanah, TX; one son, Marion Davis Kerr of Louisville; mother, Nora Jessie Kerr of McCool; two sisters, Becky Ray of Terry and Peggy Clinton of McCool; one brother, Henry Kerr of Vidalia, GA; and two grandchildren.

Bobby C. Morgan
Services for Bobby C. Morgan, 69, of Washington, were held November 12, 2002 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Steve Hardin officiating and burial in the Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
Mr. Morgan passed away November 9, 2002, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Morgan was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He retired in 1982 as a foreman from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after 31 years of service.
