Charles W. Cross
Charles W. Cross, 72, of Marrero, LA, died Saturday, July 14, 2007.
Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero.
Services will follow at Wilcox Funeral Home in Carthage on Thursday (today) at 11 a.m. with burial in the Leake County Memorial Gardens.
A native of Edinburg, he had lived in Marrero, LA for the past 38 years.
Survivors include two sons, Charles K. Cross and Kerry V. Cross; one daughter, Karen Cross Salter; two sisters, Sonya Key and Brenda Rimes; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Clearance Dixon
Clearance Dixon, 53, died Saturday, April 16, 2005.
Services were held Thursday, April 21, at John Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Tubby officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Ida Billie, Carthage; and step-father, John Billie, Carthage.
Joseph E. Blackston
MCHENRY - Joseph E. Blackston, age 55, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Blackston served in the U.S. Navy with the Sea Bees for 15 years before retiring. He was employed with Yates Construction as a carpenter for two years and a former officer of the Columbus Police Dept. He was a member of Caledonia Church of Christ.
In addition to his father, Mr. Blackston is preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Michele Blackston.
Mr. Blackston is survived by his wife, Lilia Blackston of McHenry; one son, Gary Lynn Blackston of Caledonia, MS; his mother, Kathryn Blackston of Steens, MS; four brothers, Doyle Blackston of Libby, MT, Bobby Blackston of Steens, MS, Paul Blackston of Elizebethton, TN, and Mike Blackston of Wetumpka, AL; two sisters, Glenda Kibe and Brenda Crews both of Steens, MS; and three grandchildren, Cody Lane Blackston, Hunter Lee Blackston and Wil Bradshaw.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Kaiser, Brian Crews, Jerimah Blackston, Jason Blackston, Tommy Watkins, Donald Parker, Kevin Parker, and Ray Parker. Honorary pallbearers were Pat Robertson, Billy Pickens, Pete Brown, Pepper Cil Culpepper, and Donald Beard.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus, MS with Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Interment was at Tabernacle United Methodist Church cemetery.

Nathan R. Lee
LUMBERTON - Nathan R. Lee, age 82, passed away Friday, February 4, 2005 at his residence.
Mr. Lee was a retired truck driver with Roadway Express, a Navy Veteran of WWII, and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Lee is preceded in death by his son, Dale Allen Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Ione H. Lee of Carnes; one son, Freddy Lee of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Diane Robbins of Columbia, Barbara Horne of Carnes, and Deborah Clements of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Polly Davis and Daisy Allen both of Biloxi; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 6 at Sand Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2005 at Sand Hill Baptist Church with interment at Mill Creek cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Brenda R. Sanders
WIGGINS - Brenda R. Sanders, age 63, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Wiggins.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband, Ralph Sanders of Wiggins; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Gailen Morrison of Wiggins; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Renae Sanders of Wiggins; mother, Audrey Smith of Hattiesburg; one brother, Bart Stewart of Springdale, AK; one sister, Lajuanah Parker of Johnson City, TN; and five grandchildren, Seth, Kyle and Shelby Morrison, and Colton and Sable Sanders.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Wiggins with interment at Wiggins City cemetery.
Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Irene Ivy Livingston
WIGGINS - Irene Ivy Livingston, age 63, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at her residence.
Mrs. Livingston was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins.
She is survived by her husband, James Robert Livingston of Perkinston; one son, Mark Robert Livingston of Saucier; one daughter, Marjori Livingston of Tempe, Arizona; two sisters, Dorothy Turnbaugh of Seattle, Washington and Margaret Newton of Sun City, Arizona; three brothers, Sidney Jordan of Chandler, Arizona, Herb Jordan and Charles Jordan both of Apache Junction, Arizona; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins with interment at Wiggins City cemetery.

Allen Earl Willis
HATTIESBURG - Mr. Allen Earl Willis, age 60, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Bedford Care Center.
Mr. Willis was retired.
Mr. Willis is survived by three sons, James Earl Willis, Jr. of Jollai, CA, Andrew Willis and Jerry Willis both of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Mary Alice Marshall, Mamie Lee Eaton, Beulah Fay Berry, Annie Laura Stewart, Nita Kay Williams all of Hattiesburg, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services being held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Jordon officiating followed by interment in Palmers Crossing Community cemetery.

Arthur Glynn Warren
Arthur Glynn Warren, 71, a retired factory worker, died April 18, 2005 at his home.
Services were at 2 p.m. April 21 at Sunrise Baptist Church with Bro. David Addy officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Wilcox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A native of Jefferson Davis County, he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Warren, Carthage; two sons, Robert A. Warren, Pelahatchie, and Daniel Warren, Collins; three daughters, Betty Quick, Pelahatchie, Martha Nowell and Donna Pierce, both of Carthage; three brothers, Weber Ray Warren, Mendenhall, Edwin H. Warren, Collins, and Gary Warren, Clinton; three sisters, May Booth, Fair Hope, AL, Nell Robinson, Ellisville, and Evelyn Grasso, Houma, LA; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Glendon Nowell, Jeff Nowell, Jeffery Nowell, Daniel Warren, Robert Warren, Carlos White and DavidRobinson.
Hazel D. Moore
Hazel D. Moore, 91, a lifelong resident of Leake County, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at her daughter’s residence in Philadelphia.
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Rocky Point Baptist Church with Rev. Marshall Lum and her grandson, Rev. Bill Cox, officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Jordan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, she was formerly a Sunday School teacher of the Primary (Children’s) class.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Cox, one grandson, and four great-grandchildren, all of Philadelphia.
Pallbearers were Charles Cox, Pete Burkes, Milton Pickle, Gregg Moore, Jason Moore, Michael Moore, Jim Pickle and Jackie Henry.

Erma O. Williams
Erma O. Williams, 87, of Lena, died April 20, 2005 at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon.
Services were at 3 p.m. April 23 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
A member of Good Hope Baptist Church, she retired from Mississippi State Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Williams, Hickory, and Robert Williams, Lena; two daughters, Betty Lowry, Richland, and Pat Comeaux, Brandon, one sister, Cordelia Crenshaw, Union; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Elsie Harper Farish
Elsie Harper Farish, 93, a retired telephone operator, died April 22, 2005 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.
Services were at 3 p.m. April 24 at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Riley Burton and Rev. Ray Luke officiating.
Burial was in Cedarlawn cemetery.
A native of Copiah County, she moved to Vicksburg where she worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company, then later moved to the Stallo Community in Neshoba County.
A longtime member of the Stallo United Methodist Church, she was an accomplished quilter who represented the State of Mississippi in the Mississippi Pavilion at the New Orleans World’s Fair.
Survivors include four daughters, Sue Snow, Vicksburg, Peggy Tucker, Waco, Texas, Carol Vickers, Decatur, Rebecca (Becky) Smith, Louisville; one son, Obe R. Farish, Dothan, Ala.; one sister, Jane Jones, Vicksburg; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were John Tucker, Steven Tucker, Greg Farish, Michael Farish, Mike Snow and Shannon Snow.
