Triplett
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Anna Christine Triplett, 86, of Memphis and formerly of Greenville will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Greenville. Burial will follow in Delta Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Watson, Edwards & Evans Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis.
Mrs. Triplett passed this life at 10:58 a.m. Thursday, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. She was born in Moorhead, Miss., and raised in Greenville. She attended public schools and graduated from Coleman High as valedictorian of her class. She was joined in holy matrimony to Willie Elbert Triplett. He was a devoted husband for over 30 years and preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Della, Georgia and Marcella, and two brothers, Rufus and Dr. Reuben Morris. She spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Triplett of Memphis, Tenn., Gloria (Kenneth) McCullom of Lynwood, Calif., and Barbara Albert of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Luther Morris of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Watson, Edwards & Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
Minister J.B. Woods will officiate.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral arrangements for Sherril D. "1-4" Thomas Allen, 33, of Greenville are pending at Redmon Funeral Home, Greenville. She died March 28, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Metcalfe.
Bowen
LANETT, Ala. -- Graveside services for Allen C. "Dinky" Bowen, 76, a former Greenville High School football great of Lanett, Ala., were Wednesday, March 12, at Oakhill Cemetery, Clermont, Fla. He died March 8, 2003, near Auburn, Ala.
Mr. Bowen was born on Locust Plantation (now Bayou Road), Greenville, Nov. 13, 1926. He was retired from Southern Bell following over 50 years of employment. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Raybon Bowen.
He became the 1943 National High Point Scorer with 227 points in just 10 games. He was unanimously voted one of the 1943 Big "8" team. He signed with the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech. While at Tech, he was voted one of the Colliers All American Squad and was inducted into Tech's Hall of Fame in 1974.
His nephew, John H. "Bo" Bowen III, officiated the service.
Survivors include his wife, Sydney Lanier Bowen of Lanett, Ala.; his children, Beth Bowen Cloyd of Orlando, Fla., Allen Campbell Bowen Jr. of Winter Park, Fla., Braxton Linton Bowen of Boca Grande, Fla., and Carrie Bowen Blackwell of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and three stepsons.
Box
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for Kenneth Marshall Box, 56, of Greenville, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville. He died March 28, 2003, at his home of heart failure. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
Mr. Box was born in Enid, Okla., and graduated from the Mississippi School of the Deaf in Jackson. He made his home in Tupelo, Miss., and had been a resident of Greenville since 1998. He attended United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Copeland Box of Greenville; one son, Timothy Box of Greenville; and seven brothers, Jimmy Box, Jerry Box and Mark Box, all of Greenville, Rodney Box and Randy Box, both of Leland, and Benny Box and Donnie Box, both of Tillatoba, Miss.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
Burch
CARTHAGE -- Funeral services for Johnnie Burch, 74, a homemaker of Carthage will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Culpepper Funeral Services Chapel, Kosciusko. She died March 28, 2003, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemtery, Carthage.
She was the widow of William (Billy) C. Burch.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Ince Harlow; a daughter-in-law, Edna McCullough; a brother, John Dempsey; and two sisters, Christine Samuels and Irene Rodgers.
Survivors include a son, David McCullough of Meridian; two daughters, Barbara Smith and Patricia Rainwater, both of Greenville; a brother, Tommy Robinson of Richton; a sister, Ola Wilson of Greenville; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 p.m.
Minister Bobby Roberson will officiate.

GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for William Paul Evans, 76, a retired towboat pilot of Greenville, will be today at 2 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home chapel, Greenville. He died of heart failure March 27, 2003, at his home. Burial will be in Moorhead Cemetery, Moorhead.
Mr. Evans was born in Louisville, Miss., and lived in Greenville since 1949. He was a veteran of World War II in the Army, and was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Greenville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Evans; a sister, June Hardy; and a grandson, William Dale Evans Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred N. Evans of Monroe, La.; a daughter, Deborah Carroll of Rusk, Texas; two sons, Nickey Evans of Corinth, Miss., and Billy Evans of Greenville; four sisters, Elsie Ballard of Greenville, Frances Simpson and Maureen Cox, both of French Camp, Miss., and Geraldine Swabb of Biloxi, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

GLEN ALLAN -- Graveside services for Willie Bingham Jennings, 88, a retail grocery story owner of Glen Allan will be at 3 p.m. today at Greenfield Cemetery, Glen Allan. She died March 28, 2003, at Mississippi Care Center, Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Atlanta, moving to Washington County at an early age with her parents in 1918, where she graduated from Chatham High School. She and her husband, Linward Jennings, owned and operated a grocery store and blacksmith shop for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1954 and two sons, Morris Jennings and Charles "Joe" Jennings. She was a longtime member of Lake Washington Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn J. Arnold of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Ray Jennings of Greenville, Miss.; a stepson, Jack Jennings of Vicksburg, Miss.; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Boone-Wells Funeral Home.
McDowell
INVERNESS -- Funeral services for Tabor Andrews McDowell Jr., 78, a retired banker of Inverness will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Inverness. He died March 29, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, of heart failure. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Inverness, under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home, Indianola.
He was born in Flora, Miss., and a veteran of WWII in the Army. He was member of First Baptist Church in Inverness and a past chairman of the Council of Deacons. He was a former president of the Bank of Inverness, past president of the Inverness Lions Club, former Alderman of Inverness and a former member of Indianola Academy. He obtained his BS degree from Mississippi State University.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kathryn McDowell of Inverness, Miss.; a daughter, Mary (Tom) Jackson of Collierville, Tenn.; three sons, Drew (Diane) McDowell of Indianola, Miss., John (Teri) McDowell of Germantown, Tenn., and Mark (Beth) McDowell of Jackson, Miss.; a sister, Genevieve Price of Inverness, Miss.; a brother, John D. McDowell of Flora, Miss.; and 10 grandchildren, Andrew McDowell, Morgan McDowell, Deanna McDowell, Will McDowell, Ben McDowell, Rob McDowell, Kate McDowell, Kendall Jackson, Davis Jackson and Ann Margaret Jackson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Inverness.
Reagan
GREENVILLE -- Funeral services for James Robert Reagan, 78, a stockyard owner of Greenville will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Open Door, Greenville. He died March 28, 2003, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville, of heart failure. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Water Valley, Ky., moving to Carrollton, Miss., at an early age with his parents, where he graduated from J.Z. George High School in 1943. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, the 82nd Airborne serving during WWII in the European Theater. After his discharge, he returned to Carrollton, where he became a cattleman. He had been a resident of Greenville since 1957, and he was associated with Tri-State Stockyard, and in the late 1970s, he owned and operated Reagan Stockyards. At the time of his death, he was still a cattleman. He was preceded in death by a son, James C. Sheppeard. He was an active member of the church of the Open Door.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Fleming Reagan of Greenville, Miss.; two sons, Roger Lewis Reagan (Meg) of Luling, La., and Robert V. Sheppeard (Judith) of Wayside, Miss.; two daughters, Patricia Joiner Ussery (Sandy) of River Ridge, La., and Barbara J. Raziano (Dennis) of Mandeville, La.; a brother, Charles Hartwell Reagan Jr. (Christine) of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Church of the Open Door, Greenville.
