Mary Wood McDonald
(June 2, 1926 - August 11, 2011)
Funeral services for Mary Wood McDonald of Southaven, formerly of Winona, will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, at Lee Chapel in Winona, with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Dale Strickland will officiate the services.
A visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. McDonald died at Golden Living Nursing Home in Southaven on Thursday, August 11. She was 85 years old.
Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of the late Jep and Velma Wood of Stewart, and the widow of the late Andrew Thomas McDonald. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. McDonald was very artistic, loved to work in her yard, and was very devoted to her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Bobby G. McDonald; one sister, Meredith Box; and two brothers, Robert Wood and Thomas Wood.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Weathers and her husband, Robert, of Southaven; son, Randy McDonald of Southaven; sister, Martha Tolbert and her husband, Roe, of Memphis, TN; brother, Larry Wood and his wife, Linda, of Stewart; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne McDonald, Barry McDonald, Andrew Bright, Joe Woods, and Taylor Weathers. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy McDonald Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.

Jackie McManus
(November 11, 1939 - March 17, 2013)
Jackie McManus, 73, of Canton, GA, formerly of Baton Rouge, LA, and Magnolia, MS, passed away on Sunday, March 17, at his residence. Visitation will be at Lee Funeral Home in Winona on Wednesday, March 20, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Vaiden cemetery in Vaiden, MS.
Rev. Dean Stewart will officiate the service.
Mr. McManus was a self-employed carpenter and also worked in maintenance at Louisiana State University. His family says that he is now gone to meet the greatest carpenter of all time. He is survived by his wife, Christine Huggins McManus; daughters, Carol McManus Turbeville of Baton Rouge, LA, Cynthia Robertson of Coral Springs, FL, Sherri Outlaw of Powhatan, LA, and Tammy Perkins of Canton, GA; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McManus; parents, Louie and Myrtle Spillman McManus; and a brother, Billy McManus.

Jean T. McClain
(September 4, 1932 - November 2, 2014)
Funeral services for Jean T. McClain of North Carrollton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, at North Carrollton Baptist Church, with burial following in Evergreen cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Tommy Clark will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time, at the church.
Mrs. McClain, 82, died from complications of Alzheimer's disease at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood on Sunday, November 2. She was born icon in Vaiden on September 4, 1932, to the late George W. and Mattie F. Turbeville. She was retired from the Mississippi State Department of Health and was also employed for over 20 years with Montgomery Drugs and Anderson's Pharmacy in North Carrollton. She was a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Arthur E. McClain; and her brother, George Turbeville Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Denise McArthur (Rusty) of Beaufort, NC; three sons, Larry McClain (Debbie) of North Carrollton, Jerry McClain (Janice) of Carrollton, and Kenny McClain (Katherine) of Oxford; two sisters, Eloise Gerrish (James) of Vaiden and Linda Hodges (Phillip) of Brandon; sister-in-law, Miriam Turbeville of Vaiden; seven grandchildren, Chris McClain (Melanie), Justin McClain, Jamie Bowers, Chase McArthur (Krystal), Sarah McClain, Dylan McClain, and Cheyenne McClain; six great-grandchildren, Chamberlain McClain, Mary Hames McClain, Millie McClain, Taylor McArthur, Gabriel McArthur, and Rain McArthur; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris McClain, Justin McClain, Tim McClain, Chamberlain McClain, Ross Bankston, Mitchell Costilow, and Jeremy Beckwith. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase McArthur, Steve Anderson, and Jimmy McClain.
The family wishes to extend special gratitude to the staff of the Blue Wing at Golden Age Nursing Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Carrollton Baptist Church, Evergreen cemetery Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Jimmie Grace Shelton Tingle
(February 27, 1930 - May 10, 2016)
Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie Grace Shelton Tingle of Carrollton will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Enon Methodist Church cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Joseph Sansing, assisted by Rev. Ricky Reece, will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Lee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tingle, 86, died at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson on Tuesday, May 10.
She was born icon in Coila on February 27, 1930, to Richard and Jimmie Ware Shelton. She was a retired employee of Baldwin Piano and Organ Company in Greenwood and a member of Enon Methodist Church, serving as treasurer for 20 years. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Tingle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon A. Tingle; six sisters, Annette Deloach, Anita Shelton, Carlene Shelton, Earleen McKinney, Wilma Mims, and Nell Beckham; and six brothers, Kearney, Wade, Marlon, J. W., Morris, and Charles Shelton.
Mrs. Tingle is survived by two daughters, Kathy Beckwith (George) of Carrollton and Patrice Little (Johnny) of Holcomb; one son, Terry Tingle (Beth) of Carrollton; one brother, Carl Shelton (Ruby) of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Melissa Fowler (Todd) of Holcomb, Melinda Dirks (Jay) of Grenada, Clay Beckwith (Julia) of Carrollton, Amanda Beckwith of Oxford; one step-grandson, Kyle Cassidy (Amy) of Weisbaden, Germany; six great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Carpenter, Casey Carpenter, Gary Pierce, Jimmy Sandling, Michael Shelton, and Clay Beckwith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Enon Methodist Church, c/o Terry Tingle, 6759 CR 211, Carrollton, MS 38917.

Ralph S. Orr, Sr.
(September 3, 1941 - February 25, 2008)
Funeral services for Mr. Ralph S. Orr, Sr., of Winona are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, at Lee Chapel, with burial to follow in Winona Garden of Memory. Mr. Bobby Palmertree will officiate the services. A visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Orr died of heart failure on Monday, February 25, at Mena Medical Center in Mena, Arkansas. He was 66.
Mr. Orr was the son of the late Franklin Polk Orr and Vera Mae Collins Orr. He was a disabled truck driver and attended the Baptist church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Summerford Orr, and a son, Donald Orr.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Orr of Bellevue, Nebraska, Ralph Orr Jr. of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Robert Orr of Winona; sister, Mae Ethel Taylor of Jackson; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Leon Taylor, Chris Taylor, Michael Amason, Roy Orr, Robert Montana, and Sidney Orr, Jr.

Daisy Carpenter Wiltshire
(June 28, 1921 - March 22, 2008)
Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Carpenter Wiltshire of Carrollton will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at Providence Baptist Church in Carrollton, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Eli Wiltshire, Rev. David Haggerty, and Rev. Randy Williams will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Monday, March 24, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home; and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Wiltshire went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 22, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. She was 86.
Mrs.Wiltshire was a homemaker and a charter member of Providence
Baptist Church in Carrollton, where she loved to worship. She was faithful to attend all services of the church, having served in Vacation Bible School and the Women's Missionary Union. She enjoyed cooking for her family and church functions, often having requests for her chocolate cake. She loved her family, neighbors, and church members, who often referred to her affectionately as "Mama Daisy".
Mrs. Wiltshire was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill Wiltshire, Sr.; her parents, William Ira Carpenter and Laurice Burden Carpenter; her sister, Elizabeth Carpenter Beach; and her brothers, Robert Carpenter and Ira Carpenter, Jr.
Mrs. Wiltshire is survived by five children, Bill Wiltshire Jr. and wife Sybil of Greenwood, Sarah Wiltshire Cook and husband Joe of New Albany, Donnie Wiltshire and wife Fran of Carrollton, Helen Wiltshire Harrell and husband Jimmy of Sidon, and Judy Wiltshire Robertson of Olathe, Kansas; two sisters, Modene Carpenter Morris of Mineral, Virginia, and Hazel Carpenter Berdanis of Marietta, Georgia; two brothers, William Paul Carpenter of Marietta, Georgia, and James Henry Carpenter of Greenwood; brother-in-law, Jack Beach of Greenwood; sister-in-law, Fannie Carpenter of Carrollton; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Jimmy Wiltshire, Jeffrey Cook, Trent Harrell, Don Wiltshire; and great-grandsons, Devin Garrison and Blake Wiltshire.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Providence Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, P.O. Box 179, Carrollton, MS 38917.

James Campbell
(June 8, 1922 - May 3, 2008)
Graveside funeral services for Mr. James Campbell of North Carrollton are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, at New Hope Methodist Church cemetery near Winona. Interment will follow in the New Hope cemetery.
Rev. Tommy Clark will officiate the service.
Mr. Campbell died of heart failure at his residence on Saturday, May 3. He was 85 years old.
Mr. Campbell was the son of the late William Campbell and Viola Elmore Campbell. He was a retired employee of Barrentine Manufacturing in Greenwood and he attended North Carrollton Baptist Church in North Carrollton.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Campbell of North Carrollton; daughter, Barbara Williams of Greenwood; sister, Geraldine Hutchinson of Greenville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Allen Dunn, Wilton Neal, Doc Little, John Pope, and Allen Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Carrollton Baptist Church, P. O. Box 189, North Carrollton, MS 38947.

Louise Mitchell Garner
Funeral services for Louise Mitchell Garner of Canton, Georgia, formerly of Winona, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at Lee Chapel in Winona. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Rev. Lowell Lawson will officiate the services. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, and on Thursday, July 10, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garner died at Northside Hospital in Cherokee, Georgia, on Sunday, July 6. She was 99 years old.
Mrs. Garner was the widow of the late Rev. W. F. Garner. She was a teacher for a short period of time and later a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Lawson and her husband, Lowell, of Canton, Georgia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Kennedy Bryan, Jr.
(May 15, 1929 - September 27, 2008)
Kennedy Bryan, Jr., 79, of Alpharetta, Georgia, formerly of Winona, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at his residence.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, at Lee Funeral Home in Winona, from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, from First Presbyterian Church in Winona, with burial following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Rev. David Dennis and Dr. Harold Richardson will officiate the services.
Mr. Bryan was the son of the late Kennedy Bryan and the late Pauline McClain Bryan. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Bryan of Alpharetta, Georgia; one daughter, Margaret Anne Lassiter and her husband, Charles, of Marietta, Georgia; their children, Bryan Lassiter of Atlanta, Georgia, and Beth Lassiter, currently a student at Ole Miss; one son, Larry Hughes Bryan and his wife, Susan, of Memphis, Tennessee; and their children, Austin Bryan and Spencer Bryan, both of New York City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tom Dulin Foundation for Excellence in Education, P. O. Box 481, Winona, MS 38967, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

John L. Box
(April 27, 1925 - November 14, 2010)
A graveside funeral service for John L. Box of Winona will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, at Milligan Springs cemetery near Stewart.
Rev. T. R. Darsey will officiate the service.
Mr. Box died of heart failure at Winona Manor in Winona on Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was 85 years old.
Mr. Box was the son of the late William John and Grace Bailey Box. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lexie Cox and Mary Emily Jacks, and two brothers, Jack Box and Billy Box.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, including Angelyn McCaulla and Nicky Jacks.

Fairy Turman Rivers
(November 22, 1933 - April 20, 2011)
Funeral services for Mrs. Fairy Turman Rivers of North Carrollton, formerly of Stewart, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Winona. Burial will follow in the Milligan Springs cemetery near Stewart, with Bro. Eddie Carpenter and Bro. John Gray officiating the services.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from noon until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rivers died of heart failure at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora on Wednesday, April 20. She was 77 years old.
Mrs. Rivers was the daughter of the late William Andrew Turman and the late Geneva Mae Hancock Turman; and the widow of the late James E. Rivers.
She worked as a quality control manager at Garan, inc., in Eupora for 35 years and was a member of Malmaison Baptist Church near Carrollton. She also worked as an Avon representative. She was a good homemaker and was a perfectionist at everything she attempted. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Peter Adrian Rivers.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Gray and her husband, Don, of North Carrollton and their children, Chip Gray and Jill Roy; and Wanda Mullen of Eupora; and a son, Paul Rivers and his wife, Hazel, and children, Amber and Clint Rivers, of Benton.
Pallbearers will be Clint Rivers, Greg Hunter, Billy Brad Turman, Johnny White, Tony Hillhouse, Freddy Oswalt, and Dave P. Turman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Ozborn, Dr. David Booth, and Dr. Mazen Shaheen.
