Janice Marie Saxton

Funeral services for Janice Marie Saxton, 65, of Duck Hill will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at Eskridge Baptist Church in Eskridge, with burial following in Oakwood cemetery in Winona. Rev. Walter Simmons and Rev. Mark Lawson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home; and Tuesday, May 9, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Eskridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Saxton died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada on Thursday, May 5.
She was a shop coordinator for Screw Conveyor Corporation in Winona and a member of Eskridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Rodgers and Alma Ree Eskridge.
Mrs. Saxton is survived by her husband, Bobby Saxton of Duck Hill; daughter, Amanda Lynn Saxton Little (Jeremy) of Jackson, TN; sister, Kathryn Ann Griffin (Terry) of Manning SC; brother, Jeff Rodgers (Barbara) of Winona; half-sister, Lisa Kay Williams (Mike) of Tupelo; half-brother, Howard Rodgers Jr. (Jessica) of Tupelo; stepsisters, Virginia Robertson (Charles) of Skeen and Laura Muzzi (Danny) of Shaw; two grandsons, Joshua David Little and William Saxton Little of Jackson, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Whitman, Michael Taylor, Mike Taylor, Kyle Mills, Bobby Bell, and Forest Curington.
Darlene W. Adams
(July 24, 1937 - September 6, 2016)
Funeral services for Darlene W. Adams of West will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Unity Baptist Church cemetery near West. Rev. T. R. Darsey will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adams, 79, died at Golden Living Center in Batesville on Tuesday, September 6. She was born
in Ponca, Nebraska, on July 24, 1937, to Walter William and Pearl E. Griffith Watchorn. She was a retired home health nurse and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Travis Nick Adams; daughters, Penny Lynn Adams and Sarah Nell Adams; and a brother, Dave Watchorn.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons, Travis Scott Adams of Winona and Steven R. Adams (Kerrie) of Coldwater; sister, Donna Eslick of Nebraska; brother, Don Watchorn of Nebraska; five grandchildren, Alanna Bond, Alisha Adams, Travis Scott Adams Jr., Alexis Shea Cocke, and Oakleigh Marie Adams; one great-grandson, James Brantley Bond; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Nick Adams, J. R. Adams, Shane Whtifield, Eric Adams, Michael Bevis, and Bobby Joe Nail.
Erma Dean Tindall
(February 20, 1933 - February 7, 2008)
A visitation for Mrs. Erma Dean Tindall of Winona will be held at Oliver Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Tindall died of heart failure on Thursday, February 7, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. She was 74.
Mrs. Tindall was the daughter of the late David Alvin Green and the late Odie Palmertree Green. She was the widow of the late James Benoit Tindall. Mrs. Tindall was a retired nurse and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include two daughters, Alesa Moss of Leland and Ramona Khanifer of Jackson; one son, Adam Lynch of Jackson; two sisters, Clyde Lee Thomas of Grenada and Dessie Jefcoat of Winona; two brothers, David "Duck" Green of Kilmichael and James Green of Kilmichael; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Hebron cemetery Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Edwin S. Corban
(July 30, 1917 - March 7, 2008)
Funeral services for Mr. Edwin S. Corban of Winona will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, at Oliver Chapel in Winona. There will be a visitation prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, in Knoxo cemetery near Tylertown. Rev. Eugene Bain, assisted by Rev. Randy Creel, will officiate the services.
Mr. Corban died Friday, March 8, at Indywood Glen Personal Care Home in Greenwood following a lengthy illness. He was 90.
Mr. Corban was the son of the late James and Alberta Corban. He was the retired owner of Corban Furniture and a retired employee of the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church in Winona, the Winona Rotary Club, NARFA Ham Radio MARS NET, and AOPA.
Mr. Corban is survived by his wife, Hilda Corban of Winona; son, Jim Corban and wife Pam of Winona; granddaughter Lura Corban of Winona; sister, Ida Faye Phillips of Orange Beach, Alabama; and seven nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mildred Fondren Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Moore Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center, 201 Magnolia Street, Winona, MS 38967.
Grady Franklin Vaughn, Sr.
(October 10, 1935 - April 14, 2008)
Funeral services for Grady Franklin Vaughn, Sr., of Winona, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, at North Winona Baptist Church in Winona, with burial following in New Hope cemetery near Winona, with military honors at graveside. Rev. Rusty Fair, Rev. Cornell Daughtry, and Frank Vaughn will officiate the services. Visitation is Wednesday, April 16, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Vaughn died of heart failure at his home on Monday, April 14. He was 72.
Mr. Vaughn was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Washington Vaughn, and a retired engineer with Global Marine. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margarita Vaughn of Winona; four daughters, Kathy Vaughn Gehrett of Southaven, Tammy Vaughn of Winona, Betty James of Winona, and Susan Welch of Winona; one son, Frank Vaughn, Jr., of Winona; one sister, Betty Sue Blaylock of Miami, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Frank Vaughn, Cole Vaughn, Jeff James, Chad James, Mikey Vaughn, and Richard Gehrett. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Vaughn, Matt James, Corey Welch, Howard Gehrett, Ryan Vaughn, Steve Hargett, L. C. Blaylock, Maurice Gooch, and Elmo Covington.
Dearl Bailey
(August 20, 1932 - May 18, 2008)
Funeral services for Mr. Dearl Bailey of Vaiden are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at Oliver Chapel in Winona, with burial following in Hopewell cemetery near Vaiden. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Bailey died of heart failure on Sunday, May 18, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 75.
Mr. Bailey was the son of the late James Edward and Annie Belle Parker Bailey, and the widower of the late Helen Copeland Bailey. He was a retired construction worker.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Hopkins of Vaiden and Kathy Cooper of Ada, Oklahoma; son, Albert "Bubba" Bailey of Mobile, Alabama; stepdaughter, Martha Clark of Florence; stepson, John Wesley Cook of Grenada; three sisters, Ruby Parker of Duck Hill, Lorene Sykes of Duck Hill, and Winnie Parker of Duck Hill; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Stanley Devine, Tim Armstrong, Steve Armstrong, Jerry Shirley, Jeremy Shirley, and Jeff Hall.
Mattie Corrinna 'Mama Rin' Henderson Lisenbee

Mattie Corrinna Henderson Lisenbee (“Mama Rin”), 75, of Kilmichael, MS, passed away to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, from Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, July 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 at Scotland Baptist Church with burial in Winona Garden of Memory.
born in Kilmichael, MS, on June 13, 1933, Mrs. Lisenbee attended school in Kilmichael. She served 17 years at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. She was active in service to her Church and community. She was a loving, devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and a host of friends.
Mrs. Lisenbee is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years Rayford Lisenbee; daughter Brenda Smith and husband Palmer of Brandon, MS, son Larry Lisenbee and wife Lucille of Birmingham, AL, son David Lisenbee and wife Tammy of Heber Springs, AR, sister Louise Peacock and husband Otheal of Bartlett, TN, brother-in-law Dermont Lisenbee of Memphis, TN, and sister-in-law Irene Lisenbee of Winona, MS. Other survivors include 8 grandchildren: Kim Holly-Houpt and husband Michael, Matt Holly and wife Kelly, Meagan Holly, Nathan Lisenbee, Tyler Lisenbee, Shannon Lisenbee, Lauren Lisenbee, and Andrea Smith as well as 3 great grandchildren: Gracie Houpt, Hayden Houpt, and Emma Holly. She was preceeded in death by her brother Davis Henderson, sister Lois Williams, and brother-in-law Denny Lisenbee.

William Troy Yates

Mr. Yates died at University Medical Center in Jackson on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Yates was the son of the late Clinton Yates and the late Doris Yates.
He was a retired businessman.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Yates Carpenter and her husband, Kevin, of Duck Hill; son, Chris Yates and his wife, Melissa, of St. Joseph, Missouri; four grandchildren, Seth and Kayla Wiltshire of Duck Hill and Kaylie and Leah Yates of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Bernard Yates and Jerry Yates of Winona; and several nieces and nephews.

David Lee Lott
(June 10, 1945 - August 14, 2011)
Funeral services for David Lee Lott of Carrollton will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, at Oliver Chapel in Winona. Burial will follow in the Red HIll cemetery near Duck Hill, with military honors at graveside. Rev. George Smith and Rev. Rob Faulk will officiate the services.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Lott died of heart failure on Sunday, August 14, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. He was 66 years old.
Mr. Lott was the son of the late Daniel P. and Mary Agnes Hemphill Lott. He was a retired civil servant with the U. S. Army Reserve and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Coila Methodist Church in Coila.
Survivors include his wife, Merry Norma Lott of Carrollton; three daughters, Rhonda Lott Clark of Ackerman, Cecelia Tucker of Vaiden, and Amy Sesser of Maben; one son, David Lee Lott, Jr., of Canton, Georgia; three sisters, Roxie Lott Real of Greenwood, Mary Isabelle Lott of Greenwood, and Sally Lott McLellan of Oxford; three brothers, Daniel P. Lott, Jr., of Greenwood, Robert L. Lott of Newport News, Virginia, and Phillip P. Lott of Grenada; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Teddy R. Maxie
(February 15, 1938 - October 30, 2013)
Teddy R. Maxie, 75, of Flowood, formerly of North Carrollton, passed away from heart failure on October 30, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 2, at the North Carrollton Baptist Church in North Carrollton. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 am at the church. Bro. Archie Goodwin, Bro. Ronnie Walters, and Bro. Gene White will be officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery in North Carrollton.
Teddy was born
in Laurel, Mississippi, on February 15, 1938. He graduated from Calhoun High School and attended Jones Junior College. Upon graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps. He was an IT director for the Nowell Agency of Brandon until retirement.
Teddy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Ina Jo Mullen Maxie, one son Fred T. Maxie (Sandy); two daughters, Sandra Patterson (Bob) and Cindy Nowell; eight grandchildren, Cari Rushing, Kitty Patterson, Lauren Turner, James Maxie, Joshua Maxie, Boyd Patterson, Brandon Maxie, and Hanna Nowell; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Teddy was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was loved by many. Teddy is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester T Maxie; brothers, Thomas Maxie, Fred Maxie, Billy Maxie, and Edward Maxie; and sisters, Dot Laird, Alva Montgomery, Dorthy Walters and Mary Holifield.
Nolie Yates

Graveside services for Mr. Nolie Yates of Vaiden will be Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Winona Garden of Memory cemetery. Rev. Philip McRae will officiate the service.
Mr. Yates, 91, of Vaiden died on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the Vaiden Community Living Center. He was born
in the Hebron Community on March 10, 1923, to John and Allie Bingham Yates. Mr. Yates was a retied businessman and a member of Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden.
Mr. Yates is survived by his wife, Shirley Yates of Vaiden; two daughters, Allese Martin of Marietta, GA, and Rita Neergaard of Hernando; two sons Haggard Yates of Vaiden and Dr. Travis Yates of Oxford; one brother, Charles Yates of Vaiden; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
A reception and time of fellowship will immediately follow the graveside service at the Vaiden United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Vaiden Methodist Church or the Shongalo Presbyterian Church.
