Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at White Funeral Home in Lumberton for Andrew (Andy) Jackson Blackwell III, 51, of Nashville, Tenn., who died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, in Nashville.
The Rev. Cliff Lazenby officiates at the service. Burial is in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Seneca under the direction of White Funeral Home.
He was a practicing attorney with the law firm of Underhill, Blackwell & Underhill, attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where he was a member of Sigma Nu and the Alumni Association of the University of Mississippi, attended the Nashville School of Law and Blakemore United Methodist Church in Nashville.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson Blackwell Jr. of Hattiesburg; a sister, Maria Langford of Hattiesburg and a brother, Drew Blackwell of Macon.
Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at White Funeral Home.
Sharon Smith Lavinghouse
Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at Liberty Baptist Church for Sharon Smith Lavinghouse, 56, of Picayune who died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, in Slidell, La.
Bros. Billy Ray Hines, Joe Lott and Tommy Hudnall officiate at the service. Burial is in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, she was a restaurant owner in Picayune, an LPN at Slidell Memorial Hospital and East Lake Hospital in New Orleans and a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Smith of Hattiesburg; a son, Connis Lavinghouse of Picayune; a brother, Wayland R. Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at McDonald Funeral Home.
Odessa Ladner Brown
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Red Creek Baptist Church in Wiggins for Odessa Ladner Brown, 93, of Wiggins who died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004.
Burial is in Thomas Price Cemetery under the direction of Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins.
A native of Pearl River County and a lifelong resident of Stone County, she graduated from Progress High School, Pearl River Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, was a home economics teaher at Stewart School and a first grade music teacher at Steep Hollow School, a seamstress at Movie Star in Poplarville, a homemaker and a member of Red Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Edwena Ladner of Laurel, Terry Anderson of Ellisville and Lydean Hickman of Wiggins; four sons, Bill Brown and Edmond Brown, both of Poplarville, Joe Brown of Russellville, Ark. and Gale Brown of Wiggins; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at Moore Funeral Home and 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 at Red Creek Baptist Church.
Ida Yvonne Tynes
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at White Funeral Home in Poplarville for Ida Yvonne Tynes, 48, of Mobile, Ala. who died Friday, Nov. 19 in Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Burial is in White Sand Cemetery in Poplarville under the direction of White Funeral Home.
She was a resident of Mobile for 27 years.
Survivors include her mother, Loretta Tynes Loftin of Hattiesburg; a sister, Jo Doris Moss of Pearl; and five brothers, James Tynes and John Tynes, both of Hattiesburg, Warren "Bill" Tynes of Fairhope, Ala., Rex Loftin of Conway, Ark. and Danny Loftin of Collins.
Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at White Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to L'Arche of Mobile, 161 Michigan Avenue, Mobile, AL.
Jessie 'J.P.' Paul Broadhead
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at 1st Baptist Church of Henleyfield for Jessie "J.P." Paul Broadhead, 70, of Carriere, who died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, in Carriere.
The Rev. Bryan Williams officiates at the service, assisted by the Revs. Sollie Smith and Wayne Broadhead. Burial is in 1st Baptist Church of Henleyfield Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
A native of Laurel, he was a shipfitter and union member.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Broadhead of Carriere; a son, Wayne Broadhead of Bay St. Louis; three daughters, Rose Roberson and Freda Garcia, both of Carriere and Paula Garcia of Gretna, La.; two brothers, O.B. Broadhead of Carriere and R.L. Broadhead of New Orleans; two sisters, Faye Mezengo and Billie Sue Mitchell, both of Laurel; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at Picayune Funeral Home and 10-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at 1st Baptist Church of Henleyfield.
Ruby Hall Marsh
Services were at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, Ala., for Ruby Hall Marsh, 85, of Huntsville, who died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004.
The Rev. James Harrell officiated at the service. Burial was in Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Berryhill Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Luther Whitehead Jr.; three daughters, Eva King, Sandra Landry and Robin Miller; a step-daughter, Patricia Cronkhite; three sisters, Estelle Gibson, Evelyn Harbin and Christine Bridges; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Ben Thomas Milstead
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at Picayune Funeral Home for Ben Thomas Milstead, 79, of Carriere, who died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, in Picayune.
The Rev. Walter Pierce officiates at the service. Burial is in Sones Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
A native of Pachuta, he was a retired pipe fitter and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Ernestine Milstead of Carriere; a son, Steve Milstead of Picayune; six daughters, Shirley Cooper and Tina Mooney, both of McNeill, Kathy Powe of Carriere, Pat Beech of the Sones Chapel community, Robin Russ of Poplarville and Lynett Spear of the Derby community; three sisters, Deanie Welch and Peggy Sellers, both of Meridian and Myrt Sones of the Sones Chapel community; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, and 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at Picayune Funeral Home.
Mildred R. Byrd
Services are at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19 at Byrd's Chapel in Carriere for Mildred R. Byrd, 85, who died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in Abilene, Texas.
The Rev. Jimmy Williams officiates at the service. Burial is in Byrd's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, La.
A native of Pearl River County, she graduated from high school and Pearl River Junior College, active on the home front building planes and as an instructor at what is now Keesler Air Force Base during World War II and a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Ken Byrd, Gary Byrd and David Byrd; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home.

Cora Dianne Williams-Garrett
Services are at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 at Greater Mount Plymouth Rock Baptist Church in LaPlace, La. for Cora Dianne Williams-Garrett, 55, of LaPLace who died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at River Parish Hospital.
The Rev. David Carter officiates at the service. Burial is Saturday, Dec. 18 in Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, she was a graduate of Delgado Community College and Southern University in New Orleans, a teacher in Orleans Parish, La. and St. John the Baptist School Board, a Sunday school teacher in daycare and a member of Greater Mount Plymouth Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome Garrett of LaPlace; three daughters, Simmonetta Lee, Tanya Parker and Dionne Garrett of Slidell, La.; a son, Warren Garrett Sr. of LaPlace; three sisters, Marilyn Thompson and Dorcan Gordon of Topeka, Kan. and Venita Fondal of New Orleans; three brothers, Jessie Williams of Topeka, Paul Williams Sr. of Weever, Ala. and Julius Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is 6-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 at Greater Mount Plymouth Rock Baptist Church.
