BREMMERKAMP
John Douglas Bremmerkamp, 53, of  Jefferson City died Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Oak Tree Villas.
He was born July 22, 1950 in  Jefferson City, a son of George "Bud" and Mary E. Lane Bremmerkamp.
He attended West Elementary School and was a 1968 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. He worked for  Jefferson City Distributors from March 1971 until his retirement in January 2004. He enjoyed bowling and playing softball, and was a big racing fan, especially NASCAR and Sprint Cars.
He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Bremmerkamp of Holts Summit; one stepdaughter, Kelly Toebben of  Jefferson City; his mother, Mary Bremmerkamp of  Jefferson City; two brothers, Gary Bremmerkamp of  Jefferson City; Rick Bremmerkamp of  Jefferson City; and one sister, Kathy Bremmerkamp of  Jefferson City.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2004 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors -  Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Sheltered Workshop. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main, 636-3838.

WYRICK
Donald Wayne Wyrick, age 75 of  Jefferson City, died February 4, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born in Tuscumbia on November 2, 1928, a son of Churchill and Mildred (Beard) Wyrick. On October 6, 1950, in Wyandotte County, Kansas, he was married to Alice M. Wall.
He was a 1946 graduate of Tuscumbia High School. He was an Army veteran serving with the Amphibious Engineers in the South Pacific. He received his discharge as a Technical Sergeant. He was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections in 1957 as a correctional officer. He advanced through the ranks and became Warden of the Missouri State Penitentiary in  Jefferson City in 1974. He became Director of Adult Institutions in 1983 retiring in 1987. He was Regional Vice-President of Riverside Corrections Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana. He served as Interim Jail Administrator for Miller County under Sheriff Bill Abbott.
He served as past-president of both the Deputy Warden's Association and the National Warden's Association. He was appointed to the Governor's Task Force on Crime and Corrections by Governor Kit Bond. He was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge #48 A. F. & a.m. and a member of the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 in  Jefferson City. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in  Jefferson City.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Wyrick of the home; two sons, Jim Wyrick and Michael Wyrick both of  Jefferson City; six daughters, June Isenberg of  Jefferson City, Carol Wyrick of Boonville, Mary Ras of Lee's Summit, Patti Bowers of  Jefferson City, Sherri Keith of Boonville, and Nancy Abernathy of Holts Summit; one brother, Kenneth Wyrick of Tuscumbia; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A grandson, Jonathon Meyer, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Graham and Karen Mackey, and an infant brother, Larry Paul Wyrick. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 6, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. Lewis Curtis officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Tuscumbia.

LUETKEMEYER
Robert Henry Luetkemeyer Jr., 59, of  Jefferson City, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at the Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville.
He was born June 12, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., a son of Robert Henry and Bonnie Christine Daugherty Luetkemeyer Sr. He was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, Ind., and attended Lincoln University in  Jefferson City.
He was a caseworker for more than 20 years with the Boonville Correctional Center in Boonville. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and served in the Vietnam War. He was a sports enthusiast.
He is survived by a loving sister: Karen C. Luetkemeyer of  Jefferson City; his girlfirend, Joan Tucker of  Jefferson City, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in  Jefferson City Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors,  Jefferson City Chapel, with Rev. Dale Beasterfeld officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Harry S. Truman Veterans Memorial Hospital in Columbia. Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors in  Jefferson City Chapel, 2613 West Main Street; 636-3838.

CROCKER
Jesse J. Crocker, age 24 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Friday, February 6, 2004 at his home.
Jesse was born December 8, 1979, at  Jefferson City, MO, the son of Sam H. and Kimberly K. Meller, Crocker. His parents both survive in  Jefferson City, MO.
A life-long resident of the  Jefferson City area, Jesse attended  Jefferson City Public Schools and the Nichols Career Center. Jesse was a fire safety advocate representing the state of Missouri in a fire safety seminar in Washington , D. C. He was also instrumental in the Fire Safety House in  Jefferson City. As a youth, Jesse enjoyed hunting and archery with his friends and family. He also enjoyed music and playing his guitar.
Other survivors include: paternal grandparents: Huey Crocker of  Jefferson City, MO, and Helen Wade of  Jefferson City, MO. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Peggy J. Meller on January 9, 2002 and James E. Meller on May 19, 1972.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004, in the Freeman Chapel, with the Reverend Van Mitchell officiating. Interment will be at the Elston Cemetery, Elston, MO.
Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Burn Unit at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, MO. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

ANDRAE
John Phillip Andrae, 56, of Hortonbrook, NY, died Saturday, January 10, 2004 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born November 13, 1947 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of the late Herbert H. and Jane Lindroth Andrae.
John was a commercial fisherman out of Atlantic City, New Jersey for 25 years before moving to New York where he was a self-employed general contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle L. Kearney Andrae, of the home; twin daughters, Michelle J. and Melissa J. Andrae, of the home; two sons, John P. Andrae Jr. and Ryan Andrae, both of Manahawkin, NJ; an uncle, Henry P. Andrae & a brother, Hank Andrae, both of  Jefferson City, MO; and a sister, Karen Absher of New Jersey. Monsignor William Collins performed a Mass of Christian Burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to educational funds set up for his children, Michelle and Melissa Andrae, c/o Fleet Bank, 43 Stewart Ave., P. O. Box 129, Roscoe, NY 12776. John and Ryan Andrae, c/o Fleet Bank, 65 Nautilus Drive, Manahawkin, NJ 08050.

BAKER
Mrs. Betty Jean Baker, age 77 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Friday, February 13, 2004 at the Wuesthoff Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Baker, under the direction of Freeman Mortuary, are incomplete and will be announced at a later time.

BARNES
Mrs. Betty V. Barnes, age 70 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Thursday, February 12, 2004 at her home.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Barnes, under the direction of Freeman Mortuary, are incomplete and will be announced at a later time.

BLUMER
Mrs. Mennie Blumer, age 77 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Thursday, January 12, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Arrangements for Mrs. Blumer are incomplete under the direction of the Buescher Memorial Home.

BRAY
Mildred Lorene Bray, 74, Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Tebbetts, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Ricky Goodrich's Assisted Living in Anchorage, Alaska.
She was born February 21, 1929 in St. Charles, Missouri, the daughter of the late Alfred and Lurlie (Kettle) Bush. On March 1, 1947 she was united in marriage to James Edward Bray, Sr. They were married for 52 years before he passed away in 1998.
Mrs. Bray worked as a contract specialist for the federal government and later for the state of Missouri. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in  Jefferson City, MO and enjoyed quilting, entertaining, and being involved in her church.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, James Bray Jr. and his wife Jean of Tebbetts, Missouri and Philip Bray and his Brenda of Anchorage, Alaska; two grandchildren, Rachel Willis of San Diego, California, and Ruth Cunningham of Anchorage, Alaska; two great-grandchildren Mary Evelyn Willis and Jocelyn Willis; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, five brothers & sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the First Assembly of God Church in  Jefferson City, Missouri with Rev. Lowell Perkins officiating. Interment will be in Summit Memorial Gardens in Holts Summit, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. till service time on Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in  Jefferson City, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church Missionary Fund, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd., Fulton, Missouri 65251.

ELLIOTT
Betty L. Elliott, of Surprise, Arizona, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, in Surprise, AZ.
She was born in Versailles, MO, lived in  Jefferson City from 1955-1995 & then moved to Arizona. She taught at  Jefferson City Sr. High School.
Survivors include her spouse, Charles "Pete" Elliott; 1 daughter, Bettina Walls of Overland Park, KS; 2 sisters, Katharine Dromgold & Lucy Maunders, both of Sun City West, AZ; 1 brother, Dr. Sam Price Jones of Dallas, TX; 2 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters.
Services will be held at a later date in Missouri.

FISHER
Mr. Fred W. Fisher, Jr., age 76 years, of  Jefferson City, MO, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at the Capital Region Medical Center.
Mr. Fisher was born May 29, 1927, at Hale, MO, the son of Fred W., Sr., and Ruby B. Cook Fisher, both deceased. He was married on January 29, 1948, at Kansas City, MO, to Rose Mary Cervant, who preceded him in death. On November 4, 1977, at  Jefferson City, MO, he married Margaret Zimmerman Bembom who preceded him in death on January 29, 2004.
Mr. Fisher attended Central High School, Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Safeway Food Store in Kansas City for many years. A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1978, Mr. Fisher was employed as a supply clerk with the Missouri Dept. of Corrections for several years. Currently, he was employed as a Door Keeper with the Missouri Senate. He was a member of St. Josephs Cathedral; a member of the Masonic Lodge; a member of the Knights of Columbus; a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693; and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include three daughters: Beverly Phillips and her husband Michael of Excelsior Springs, MO, Sharon Redding and her husband Stephen of Independence, MO, and Vickie Cornell and her husband Hal of Kansas City, MO; one son: Danny Fisher and his wife Suzi of Kansas City, MO; one step-daughter: Margaret Ann Vieth and her husband David of  Jefferson City, MO; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2004, in the Freeman Chapel. Friends may call at the Freeman Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Josephs Cathedral. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

HOYT
Irene M. Hoyt, age 90, of Osage Beach, MO, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, MO.
Survivors include 3 sons, Allen W. Hoyt of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Kenny R. Zielinski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, & A. J. Hoyt of Linn Creek, MO; 1 daughter, Susan E. Hartman of Tucson, Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister & 1 step-brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 16, at St. Helen's Catholic Church, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Entombment will be in the Garden Mausoleum, St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

JENKINS
Thomas "Tom" Gary Jenkins, age 60, Lake Ozark, MO, died Friday, February 13, 2004 at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia, MO.

KERKSIEK
Juanita E. Kerksiek, age 77, of Stover, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2004 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles.
She was born February 26, 1926 at Lakeview, MO, the daughter of Paris James and Maggie Evelyn Burns Hunts. She was married on December 12, 1945 to Norman Kerksiek, who preceded her in death. Survivors include: three sons, Larry Kerksiek, Danny Kerksiek and Dale Kerksiek, Stover; two sisters, Loretia Smith, Knob Noster, Venetia Mizer, Stover; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at the First Baptist Church in Stover. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.

KING
Mary Ruth King, 52, of California, MO, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Capital Region Hospital in  Jefferson City, MO.
She was born January 29, 1952, the daughter of Jesse Lloyd and Hilda Marcella Kubli Vaughan, who survives in California, MO. Her father preceded her in death on March 29, 1973. She was united in marriage May 28, 1983 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church to Larry Wayne King, who survives of the home.
She attended Russellville High School, Lincoln University and attended two courses at the McCrone Institute in Chicago, IL. She worked for the State of Missouri-Department of Natural Resources as a Chemist 4; working for 18 years, was formerly employed at Chesebrough Ponds (Unilever), California Manufacturing and Burgher Haus. She was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church in California, MO where she served as the Church Treasurer, Librarian and worked with AWANAS. She started and was involved with Women of Virtue at Main Street Baptist Church.
Other survivors also include: three sons, Brian D. Hufendiek with his wife, Stephanie, Matthew R. Hufendiek with his wife, Lynnea, and David Lawrence King, all of California, MO; one daughter, Becky Porter, with her husband, Richard of California, MO; one stepson, Shawn W. King with his wife, Nicole of FL; one stepdaughter, Dawn L. King of WA; two brothers, Alan Lloyd Vaughan and Robert D. Vaughan with his wife, Barbara of California, MO; one sister, Sherry Rose Emerson with her husband, Kenny of  Jefferson City, MO; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Main Street Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Mathes and Rev. Greg Morrow officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2004 at Main Street Baptist Church from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to the Main Street Library, 303 West Main Street, California, MO 65018 or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California, MO.
