SHIVERDECKER
Dixie J. Shiverdecker, 74, Pittsburg, Kan., died Jan. 6, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center, Pittsburg.
She was born April 22, 1928, in Fulton, a daughter of Raymond and Callie Foster. She was married Dec. 13, 1946, to Joe Shiverdecker, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Fulton High School in 1946. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Fulton and National Bank and Tite Hallmark Card Shop in Pittsburg, before her retirement. She was a member of Pittsburg Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: two sons. Ronnie Shiverdecker, Pittsburg, Kan., and Mark Shiverdecker, Neodesha, Kan.; one daughter, Barbara Williamson, Joplin; two brothers, Henry Foster and Bill Foster, both of Fulton; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of Christ, Pittsburg. Jerry Kendall will officiate. The remains were cremataed. Private inurnment will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Shiverdecker home, 2302 California, Pittsburg, Kan.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
STEIMEL
Donald Henry Steimel, 60, Jefferson City, died Jan. 5, 2003, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Jan. 6, 1942, in St. Louis, a son of Leonard H. and Gertrude Mary Henke Steimel. He was married Jan. 12, 1963, in Cahokia, Ill., to Ethel F. Anchell, who survives at the home.
He was a 1959 graduate of DeAndres High School, St. Louis.
He worked for 43 years as a first pressman for Von Hoffman Press, Inc.
Other survivors include: two sons, Phillip L. Steimel, St. Charles, and John J. Steimel, Jefferson City; two daughters, Sharon A. Crocker, St. Martins, and Susan M. Steimel, Jefferson City; two brothers, Raymond Steimel, Florissant, and Dennis Steimel, Troy; two sisters, Barbara Roberts, Palm Bay, Fla., and Sandra Rust, Wright City; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Hoskins will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

WEGS
Mabel G. Wegs, 102, Moberly, died Jan. 5, 2003, at North Village Park Nursing Home, Moberly.
She was born April 1, 1900, in Moberly, a daughter of Frank B. and Mary E. Steinkamp Wegs.
She attended the Loretta Academy and public schools in Moberly.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in the traffic department for 47 years. She was an operator and worked in supervisory and service-observing positions.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she was in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an honorary member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors include three sisters, Helen Louise Wegs and Marie O'Keefe, both of Moberly, and Regina McClurg, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Million-Taylor-Patton Funeral Home, Moberly, with a scripture service at 5 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Pius X School Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
SUDHEIMER
Elmer O. Sudheimer, 87, Rolla, died Jan. 5, 2003, at his home.
He was born Aug. 30, 1915, in Vienna, a son of Hugh A. and Cora A. Martin Sudheimer. He was married March 8, 1939, in Vienna, to Olive J. Minzes, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer and a truck driver. He was a member of the Eagles in Illinois.
Other survivors include one sister, Loise Vanastran, state of Illinois, and one half brother, Jessie Sudheimer, Dixon.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon. LeRoy Nixon will officiate. Burial will be in Kenner Cemetery near Dixon.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Kenner Cemetery Fund in memory of Elmer O. Sudheimer.
BAUER
Joseph "Sugar Joe" Bauer, 81, Jefferson City, died Jan. 5, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Brinktown, a son of Herman and Celestine Winkelman Bauer. He was married Nov. 19, 1966, to Maria Siebert, who survives at the home.
He was a bus driver for the Brinktown school and worked for Uhlman Charcoal Company in Meta, retiring in 1986. He was a farmer and had owned and operated a sawmill. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Brinktown. He was a member of Brinktown-Lischwe-Brandel American Legion Post 354. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: one son, John Schnur, Jefferson City; one daughter, Maria Robinett, Jefferson City; four brothers, Anthony Bauer, Jefferson City, John Bauer, St. Louis, Norbert Bauer, Kansas City and Martin Bauer, Brinktown; six sisters, Elizabeth Wester and Mary Gansmann, both of St. Louis, Theresa Koerber, Pinedale, Mont., Agnes LaBruyere, Brinktown, Odelia Kristof, Phoenix, Ariz., and Gertrude Mehlick, Chesterfield; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and from 9-9:30 a.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, .
Memorials are suggested to Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Brinktown.
COMSTOCK
Rosa M. Comstock, 79, Versailles, died Jan. 7, 2003, at Laurie Care Center, Laurie.
She was born March 24, 1923, in Potaka, Ill., a daughter of James and Bessie Gambill Tabor. She was married Nov. 6, 1942, in St. Louis, to Garth D. Comstock, who died Oct. 2, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: five sons, Roy Comstock and Danny Comstock, both of Versailles, Larry Comstock and Tim Comstock, both of Tipton, and Andrew Comstock, Eldon; five daughters, Wanda DeMint, California, Becky O'Brien, Dyer, Ind., Beverly Tomblinson and Bonnie Yoder, both of Versailles, and Reba Comstock-Fisher, Lenexa, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Laurie Care Center.
CRAIG
Grace Marie Craig, 78, Rockaway Beach, formerly of Jefferson City, died Jan. 7, 2003.
She was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Madison, Minn., a daughter of Oscar and Esther Lund Olson. She was married to Richard Craig Sr., who died in 1983.
She lived in Jefferson City from 1955-1970. She was a member of Ozark Mountain Christian Church and Forsyth Senior Center.
Survivors include: two sons, Richard H. Craig Jr., Papillion, Neb., and Robert M. Craig, Springfield; one daughter, Diana Lee, Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Ernie Olson, Minneapolis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forsyth Whelchel Chapel, Forsyth. Burial will be in Ozarks Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
