HOWARD
Monte D. Howard, 78, Boonville, died Sept. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 24, 1924, in Morgan County, a son of Marshall and Lottie Edith Chipley Howard. He was married Aug. 20, 1976, to Gloria M. McSwain, who died April 2, 1981.
He worked in law enforcement for several years and served as Camden County sheriff for eight years. He was an Army veteran and member of VFW Raymond Warmhoff Post in Boonville.
Survivors include: two sons, Monte James "Jim" Howard, Romayor, Texas , and John Howard, Versailles; one daughter, Lenna Christine Libby, Versailles; one brother, Marshall Howard, Leawood, Kan.; four sisters, Hattie Sutton, O'Fallon, Jennie Hutchison, Blackwater, and Marilyn Noyes and Sally Weekley, both of Boonville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles City Cemetery.
BOULWARE
Ruby C. Tannehill Boulware, 75, Kaiser, died Sept. 24, 2002, at Osage Beach Healthcare Center.
She was born March 30, 1927, in Kaiser, a daughter of Orvie F. and Martha Jane Jeffries Hogue.
She was a member of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church near Kaiser for more than 50 years.
Survivors include: one son, Carl Tannehill, Belton; two daughters, Carol Freeman, Kaiser and Cherrie Sullivan, Eldon; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Hank Tannehill will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery near Kaiser.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to New Hope Freewill Baptist Church.
FISCHER
Sister Mary Ann Fischer, SSND, 63, St. Louis, formerly of Jefferson City, died Sept. 23, 2002, at St. Anthony's Medical Center, St. Louis.
She was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Washington , Mo., a daughter of Edward and Agnes Struckhoff Fischer.
She entered the congregation of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1956 and professed her final vows in 1964. She earned a bachelor's degree in history in 1960 from Notre Dame College in St. Louis. She received a master's degree in history from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., in 1970. She received a master's degree in religious education from Loyola University in Chicago.
She taught secondary education for 11 years in Missouri, the state of California and Illinois. She was an administrator in Missouri and Illinois schools for 23 years.
She was an administrator at Helias High School from 1975-1983 and she taught at Helias from 1986-1988.
Survivors include: four brothers, Henry "Hank" Fischer, Lake St. Louis, John Fischer and Edward Fischer, both of Washington , and Jim Fischer, Clemson, S.C.; and two sisters, Jane Fulhage, Rocheport, and Helen Fick, Chesterfield.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Lemay. Bishop John J. Leibrecht and the Rev. David Hulshof will officiate. Burial will be in Notre Dame Motherhouse Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the School Sisters of Notre Dame Motherhouse Chapel in Lemay, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

KEMP
Larry Kemp Jennings, 55, Hartsburg, died Sept. 23, 2002, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born March 22, 1947, in Richmond Heights, a son of John and Minerva Busch Jennings. His mother survives in Hartsburg. He was married June 12, 1972, in Columbia, to Sharon Caldwell, who survives.
A lifelong resident of Hartsburg, he owned and operated Jennings Enterprises in Hartsburg since 1987. He worked for Carroll Rehma Motors as a truck dealer. A farmer, he was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg.
Other survivors include: one son, Chris Jennings, Hartsburg; one daughter, Tammy Jennings, Columbia; and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.

KNIGHT
Dorothy Leona Hall Knight, 73, Sunrise Beach, died Sept. 23, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Kansas City, a daughter of Robert G. and Leona L. Peuster Hall. She was married Aug. 14, 1948, to William F. "Bill" Knight, who survives at the home.
A former member of Ruskin Heights Lutheran Church in Kansas City, she was a member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach for the past 18 years. She was involved in the choir and in WELCA.
A graduate of East High School in Kansas City, she was a legal secretary and court reporter transcriber. For 10 years, she was church secretary at Kent Memorial Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include: one son, William F. Knight Jr., Kempner, Texas ; four daughters, Donna Lee Howard, Warrensburg, Linda Kay Dominguez, Shawnee, Kan., Cheryl Anne Gallion, Springfield, and Debra Jo Knight, Jefferson City; two sisters, Nelda Chapman, Sunrise Beach, and Shirley Nolting, Berryton, Kan.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kent Memorial Lutheran Church. Pastor Eugene Moll will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. Visitation will also be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to Kent Memorial Lutheran Church.
MORRIS
Beulah Lee Morris, 82, Versailles, died Sept. 24, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Camden County, a daughter of Thomas L. and Anna Ash Housworth. She was married May 13, 1939, to Lloyd Lester Morris, who died Sept. 18, 1965.
She worked at Kansas City Optical Plant in Versailles for many years. For the past nine years, she worked at West Central Opportunity Center, Versailles. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Versailles.
Survivors include: one son, Alan Morris, Versailles; one daughter, Ruth Ann Morrison, Versailles; one brother, Glen Housworth, Versailles; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles. Pastor Erik Rottmann will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church.
RICHMOND
Sarah Jane Richmond, 85, Fulton, died Sept. 21, 2002, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
She was born Aug. 12, 1917, a daughter of Luther and Florence Noble Britt. She was married in 1932 to Homer L. Richmond, who died May 15, 1986.
She was a cook at Young's Café. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Fulton. She was the financial secretary and president of the UMW Choir. She was a member of the program committee.
Survivors include: one daughter, Shirley Harvey, Fulton; two sisters, Anna Conover, Springfield, Ill., and Emily Woodley, Fulton; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Homer Richmond Jr., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. James United Methodist Church. Henry Brewer and the Rev. John Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday and after the burial at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home.
SALMONS
Richard Earl Salmons, 61, Jefferson City, died Sept. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1941, in Fulton, a son of J. Earl and Bonnie L. Lamers Salmons. His mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Ervin Edler, survive. He was married Nov. 25, 1978, to Peggy Lea Nelson, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Fulton High School and attended Lincoln University. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenter's Union Local 945.
Other survivors include: one son, Michael Salmons, Columbia; one daughter, Rachel Salmons, Jefferson City; two brothers, Ralph Salmons, Ragley, La., and Stephen Salmons, Euless, Texas ; two sisters, Loretta Sue Cote, Fulton, and Kathleen A. Edler, Millersburg; and three grandchildren.
One infant daughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
