DAVIS
Leona D. Davis, 93, Fulton, died Sept. 22, 2002, at Callaway Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 19, 1909, in Lincoln County, a daughter of the Rev. O.B. and Carrie Ann Krieg Hobbs. She was married June 21, 1927, to Clyde N. Davis, who preceded her in death.
She owned and operated the Readsville Store. She later helped in public relations at Fulton Residential Care. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Readsville.
Survivors include: one son, Vernon Davis, Fulton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Bethel United Methodist Church.
GARRISON
Myrtle Garrison, 94, Versailles, died Sept. 23, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
She was born July 22, 1908, in Morgan County, a daughter of John and Mollie Aust Whittle. She was married Aug. 26, 1944, to William Quincy Garrison, who died Sept. 11, 1980.
She worked at Tweedies Shoe Factory in Jefferson City and later at Brown Shoe Company in Versailles. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Versailles.
Survivors include: two sisters, Marie Cornett, Versailles, and Minnie Limpic, Pleasant Hill; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Three stepdaughters preceded her in death: Ruby Campbell, Hazel Cox and Fae Rumans.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Versailles.
GILBERT
Ethel Lee Gilbert, 56, Jefferson City, died Sept. 20, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Nov. 30, 1945, in Steele, a daughter of Prezell Price and Daisy White . She was married in 1962, in Steele, to Tearley Arnold, who died in 1975.
She was a certified nursing assistant in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: three sons, Tearley Arnold and Robin Arnold, both of Milwaukee, and Tony Arnold, Caruthersville; one daughter, Jacqueline Arnold, Milwaukee; three sisters, Wilma Ray Higgins and Willie Mae Sanders, both of Milwaukee, and Brenda Sanders, Chicago; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
One daughter, Linda Arnold, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Ethel Gilbert Memorial Fund.
JUERGENS
Randy Alan Juergens, 37, Wright City, formerly of Vienna, died Sept. 21, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 26, 1965, in Tuscumbia, a son of Ralph and Sharon Moon Juergens. His mother, Sharon Moon Juergens Carr, survives in Wright City. He was married March 4, 1994, in Las Vegas, to Debra Lynn Dinger, who survives in Wright City.
He was a machinist for the Roller Company, St. Louis.
Other survivors include: one son, Nicholas Juergens, of the home; one daughter, Tiffany Juergens, of the home; one stepdaughter, Brittany Kuehler, of the home; one brother, Michael Juergens, Vienna; one sister, Lyne Ellis, Guntersville, Ala.; and one grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will be in Waidelich Cemetery, near Vienna.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Head Injury Institute.
KESSLER
Services were Monday for Kiley DeNae Kessler, daughter of Joel and Bethany Halderman Kessler, Brumley, who was stillborn Sept. 22, 2002, at Lake Regional Health System.
Other survivors include: maternal grandfather Fritz Halderman, Ulman; maternal grandmother Janet Halderman, Lake Ozark; paternal grandparents Roger and Barb Kessler, Plymouth, Ill; paternal great-grandparents Harold and Lois Kessler, LeBell, and Floyd Lambert, Augusta, Ill.
Services were under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
KETCHUM
William Ernest Ketchum, 72, Hallsville, died Sept. 23, 2002, at Heritage Hall Nursing Center, Centralia.
He was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Hannibal, a son of Ewin B. and Goldie Pearl Cook Ketchum. He was married April 17, 1954, in New Franklin, to Mildred Bell Overstreet, who died April 4, 1992.
A trucker and farmer, he worked as a maintenance engineer at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics. He then established the family business at Hallsville, Triple K Lawn & Tractors Equipment.
Survivors include: two sons, Gordon Lee Schrader, St. Peters, and Michael Ernest Ketchum, Hallsville; two daughters, Goldie Marie Zumbehl, Jefferson City, and Pamela Ruth Martin, Hallsville; one brother, Archie Raymond Ketchum, Paris; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Peggy Lee Kintner, and one granddaughter preceded him in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fenton Funeral Chapel, Centralia. The Rev. Marci DeVier will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Centralia.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to cancer research.
PAREY
William Anthony Parey, 34, Camdenton, died Sept. 21, 2002, in Camdenton.
He was born Dec. 8, 1967, in St. Louis, a son of James and Dorothy Parey, who survive in Camdenton.
He was an automobile mechanic.
Other survivors include: his fiancŽ, Laura Heck, state of Florida; one son, Dustin Parey, Jefferson City; four brothers, James Parey, Osage Beach, Timothy Parey, Fenton, Jason Parey, Holts Summit, and Kevin Parey, Lake Ozark; and one sister, Kimberly Augustine, Herculaneum.
Visitation services will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Cremated will follow visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
REED
Ruth Reed, 61, Rocky Mount, died Sept. 22, 2002, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Rock Ford, Colo., a daughter of Del and Mary Elizabeth Hunter Garver. Her mother, Mary Elizabeth Starner, survives in El Dorado Springs. She was married Aug. 20, 1960, in Glenaire, to Don Reed, who survives of the home.
She was employed with Springmaid Wamsutta, Osage Beach, as a retail clerk. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Missouri City.
Other survivors include: one son, Stephen T. Reed, Excelsior Springs; one daughter, Carol E. Reed, Osage Beach; one brother, Melvin W. Garver, Norwalk, Mass.; and one sister, Helen L. Queen, Citrus Heights, Calif.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Camp Chapel Assembly of God Church, Rocky Mount. Inurnment will be in Lake Memorial Gardens Columbarium, Osage Beach.
ROOK
Jason Paul Rook, 27, Glasgow, died Sept. 22, 2002.
He was born Jan. 21, 1975, in Fayette, a son of Leland E. and Mary Josephine Fife Rook. His mother survives in Glasgow.
He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1993 and from Linn Technical College in 1995. He was a truck driver for Hahn & Phillips Grease Co. He was a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders and the NRA.
Other survivors include: three brothers, Jeffrey E. Rook, Jefferson City, Christopher Rook, Pompano Beach, Fla., and Andrew Rook, Overland Park, Kan.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
