DURYEA
Ronald Gene Duryea, 56, Camdenton, died Aug. 1, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 25, 1946, in Lebanon, a son of Gerald E. and Frances Elaine Shope Duryea. He was married Nov. 4, 1979, to Sharon Lee Scott, who survives.
He was a 1966 graduate of Camdenton High School. He served in the Army from 1966-68. He retired from Meyer Electric in 1998, and was a member of the Electricians Union Local #2.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Tammy Duryea and Lori Ervin, both of Camdenton; one brother, Daniel Duryea, Moro, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.
Two sons, Kenny Duke and John Hampton, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, with the Rev. Shawnee Ripley officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be held in the Dale Blair Cemetery, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to the Ronald Duryea Memorial Fund.
EISSLER
Glenn A. Eissler, 62, Jefferson City, died Aug. 3, 2002, at The Central House.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940, at Elgin, Ill., a son of Emil C. and Irene Lohman Eissler.
He moved to Jefferson City about 11 years ago and was employed by Capitol Projects. He was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 213. He was a member of the Central United Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one brother, Larry Eissler, Rock City, Ill.; and one sister, Carolyn Holtzee, Albany, Wis.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Freeman Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Buchholz officiating.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to The Central House, Jefferson City.
GILLIAM
Matthew Jeffrey Gilliam, 23, Brumley, died Aug. 2, 2002, from injuries in a collision near Brumley.
He was born Feb. 17, 1979, at Lake Ozark, a son of Jeff and Cheryl Bartlett Gilliam, who survive in Brumley.
He was a 1997 graduate of Iberia R-5 High School. He worked for Trio Dock in Osage Beach. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: five sisters, Carissa Gilliam, Alton, Ill., and Sara Gilliam, Jenny Gilliam, Emily Gilliam and Kaitlyn Gilliam, all of the home; paternal grandparents, Gene and Corene Gilliam, Brumley; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Cooper, Eldon; and his fiancŽe, Carrie Allee, Brumley.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia, with Bro. Jim Meredith officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
GREEN
Truman Joseph Green, 90, Ft. Myers, Fla., died July 8, 2002.
He was born April 19, 1912, in Grandfield, Okla., a son of Joseph and Minita Green. He was married in 1936 to Ruth Hurmence, who died in 1981.
He received a mechanical engineering degree from Texas Tech and was manager of Central Electric Power Cooperative in Jefferson City from 1950 until he retired in 1977.
Survivors include: two sons, Alan Green, West Branch, Mich., and Naples, Fla., and Terry Green, Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Sheila Conner, Warren, Ohio; and nine grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society.
PACE
Kathy Pace, 58, Salina, Kan., died Aug. 3, 2002, at her home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1943, in Springfield, a daughter of Victor and Ruth Viets. She was married to Bob Pace, who survives in Salina.
She attended school in Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: two sons, Chris Pace, Kansas City, and Timothy Pace, Salina; one sister, Pat Dutract, Phoenix; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home, Salina.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Salina or the American Cancer Society.
ROWE
Etta Florence Rowe, 89, Vienna, died Aug. 2, 2002, at her home.
She was born July 14, 1913, in Belle. She was married Aug. 10, 1946, in Vienna, to Alfred Paul Rowe, who died in 1978.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: five sons, Donald Jones, Owensville, Ronald Jones, Bland, Gary Jones, Belle, Danny Rowe, Vienna, and Larry Rowe, Meta; five daughters, Sylvia Dudley, Washington , Linda Fuhrmann and Dixie Kriete, both of St. Louis, Judy Bray, Jefferson City, and Martha Reeves, Dixon; two brothers, Clyde Shockley, Belle, and Clarence Shockley, California; two sisters, Grace Carpenter, Alaska, and Lorene Withouse, Belle; 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
One son, David Rowe, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Bro. Cellis Crum will officiate. Burial will be in Little Flock Cemetery, Vienna.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
WILLIAMS
Clara M. Kemmer Williams, 82, Jefferson City, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Anton and Catherine Luecke Kemmer. She was married Dec. 13, 1941, in Jefferson City, to Lemuel F. Williams, who died June 28, 1957.
She worked for International Shoe Factory in Jefferson City for 23 years. She worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue for 17 years, until her retirement.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a volunteer at St. Marys Health Center.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry G. Williams, Holts Summit, and Dewayne R. Williams, Huntsville, Texas ; one daughter Reva J. Reed, Jefferson City; two sisters, Lorene Simpson, Phoenix, Ariz., and Lillian Nilges, Linn; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Dolan will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Hospice.
BEDELL
Louis Bedell, 91, Moberly, formerly of Fulton, died Aug. 1, 2002, at Loma Linda Health Care, Moberly.
He was born Nov. 30, 1910, a son of Earl and Marie Leachman Bedell.
He worked in the agriculture field.
Family burial will be Wednesday in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
CLIBURN
Alan Ray Cliburn, 60, Centertown, died Aug. 4, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1942, near Centertown, a son of Lloyd and Ruth Ellen Brandon Cliburn. His mother survives in Centertown. He was married June 10, 1962, in Russellville, to Judy Campbell, who survives at the home.
He was a 1960 graduate of Russellville High School and attended Lincoln University. He worked for his father at Cliburn Gravel Hauling in Centertown for six years. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in Jefferson City for 33 years, retiring in 1997. He farmed most of his life in the Russellville and Centertown area. He served on the Centertown City Council and served as mayor of Centertown. He was a member of the Centertown Rural Fire District, holding the office of secretary. He was a member of the Centertown Baptist Church and attended the Russellville United Methodist Church for many years.
Other survivors include: two sons, Chris Cliburn and Jay Cliburn, both of Centertown; four brothers, Sam Cliburn, St. Martins, Jerry Cliburn, Russellville, and Leon Cliburn and Oliver Cliburn, both of Centertown; one sister, Alice Kliethermes, Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Russellville United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.
