BOND
Herschel Bond, 66, Eldon, died June 5, 2002, in Eldon.
He was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Olean, a son of Lon J. and Esta Brown Bond. He was married May 20, 1956, in Olean, to Anna Enloe, who survives at the home.
He worked for Olean Feed Mill, IGA, Carl's One, Paul's and Prenger Brothers Grocery Stores. He was a member of the Olean Christian Church.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Patricia Abbott, Eldon, and Charlene Porter, High Point; one son, Garrell Bond, Eldon; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
NONDORF
John F. Nondorf Jr., 68, Jefferson City, died June 6, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 9, 1933, in Scandia, Kan., a son of John F. Sr., and Bertha Swyhart Nondorf. He was married March 10, 1956, in Scandia, to Rose A. Thompson, who survives at the home.
He was a 1951 graduate of Scandia High School. He worked for the United States Bureau of Land Reclamation in Kansas. He was transferred to the Army Corps of Engineers in 1959 in Glasgow. He lived in Slater for 18 years, moving to the Jefferson City office of the Corps of Engineers in 1977. He retired in 1989, as an office engineer, after 38 years of service. He was a member of the United Brethren Church in Scandia. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693.
Survivors include: one son, John M. Nondorf Sr., Jefferson City; two daughters, Sandra Branch, Jefferson City and Brenda Stock, Tebbetts; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. Burial with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery near Tebbetts.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to cancer research.
OTTO
Wilfred S. Otto, 79, Linn, died June 5, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Linn, a son of Peter and Agatha Sprenger Otto. He was married Oct. 25, 1947, in Taos, to Lorraine E. Ortbals, who survives at the home.
He was a lifelong area resident and attended St. George School.
He was a member of the Laborers Local 662 for 31 years before retiring in 1985. He also was a farmer.
He was a member of St. George Church in Linn.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Western Catholic Union, Bluetick Breeders of America Association and the Linn VFW.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Otto, Linn; five daughters, Ruth Ellis and Carol Stamp, both of Linn, Sharon Ridgley, High Hill, and Judy Hedrick and Mary Finn, both of Lee's Summit; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at St. George Church in Linn. The Rev. Joseph Welschmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
Memorials are suggested to St. George Activity Center in Linn, or the American Heart Association.
McKINNEY
Elizabeth Marie McKinney, 82, Russellville, died June 6, 2002, at Jefferson City Manor Care.
She was born April 20, 1920, in Guthrie, a daughter of William and Margaret Wuelser Schroer. She was married April 15, 1943, in Fulton, to Howard Milford McKinney, who died Oct. 31, 2000.
She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1938.
She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress and floor lady with Oberman Manufacturing Company for several years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Glenda Gail Sheahan, Jefferson City, and Judy Ann Berhorst, Russellville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
CANON
Services were held for Maggie Marie Canon, 86, Bakersfield, Calif., who died May 13, 2002.
She was born April 13, 1916, in Etterville, a daughter of Edgar and Myrtle Graham. She was married in 1959, to William "Bill" Canon, who died in 1997.
She was a retail clerk at Green Frog Market and Thrifty Mart until her retirement in 1964.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Templeton, state of California and Gerald Templeton, state of Missouri; four daughters, Terri Smith, Bakersfield, Calif., Loretta Nolthenius and Karen Lytell, both of the state of California, and Mary Ann Dimmick, state of Nevada; one brother, Marvin Graham, Thibodaux, La.; three sisters, Nellie Henley, Eldon, Irene Brinkley and Wilma Laudzers, both of Jefferson City, and Billie Mathis, Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
One son, Dewayne Canon, preceded her in death.
Services were at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel in Bakersfield. Betty Johnson officiated.

CLARK
Elaine Carol Clark, 60, Stover, died June 6, 2002, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Jerseyville, Ill., a daughter of George and Dorothy Arnold Craigmiles. She was married March 4, 1965, in Jefferson City, to Willis Clark, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott Clark, Versailles, and Darian Clark, Eldon; three brothers, Dave Craigmiles and Terry Craigmiles, both of Cordova, Ill., and George Craigmiles, Chaffee; five sisters, Janet Temple, Nevada, Donna Bacher, New Hamburg, Gwen Morgan, state of Michigan, Paula Craigmiles, Bloomington, Ill., and Julie Craigmiles, Albany, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover. The Rev. Denzil Webb will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday.
CARPENTER
Anne Carpenter, 62, Russellville, died June 7, 2002, at Eldon Healthcare Center.

PETERS
Judith A. Peters, 65, Jefferson City, died June 6, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
Arrangements are at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
WOOTERS
Vivian Wooters, 94, formerly of Laurie, died June 7, 2002, at Independence Regional Hospital, Independence.
She was born April 18, 1908, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Arthur W. and Edna Josephine O'Donnell Grube. She was married Nov. 20, 1926, to Albert Wooters, who died Aug. 17, 1992.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Independence, and Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.
Survivors include one son, Allen A. Wooters, Springfield.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
CLAPHAN
Paulette Rene Claphan, 54, Jefferson City, died June 6, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born March 3, 1948, in Thomas, Okla., a daughter of Everett Beaver and Jesse Irene Barton Beaver. She was married April 19, 1991, in Georgetown, Texas , to Ted Fain Claphan, who survives at home.
She was a licensed beautician and cosmetologist in Texas , California and Oklahoma. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: one son, Richard W. Smith, Georgetown, Texas ; a step-daughter, Angela Brandes, Tipton; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daugthers.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Randall DeVille will officiate.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
