LAFFERTY
Helene B. Lafferty, 77, Carl Junction, formerly of Barnett, died May 26, 1999, at Freeman Hospital West, Joplin.
She was born July 27, 1921, in Liberty, a daughter of Cleo W. Sr. and Delilah May Ginter Burrell. She was married Oct. 26, 1946, to Oscar "Speedy" Lafferty, who died Aug. 8, 1995.
A resident of Barnett for most of her life, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Morgan, Climax Springs, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, North Kansas City.
PATTERSON
Babe Ruth Patterson, 77, Ulman, died May 25, 1999, as a result of a drowning accident on the Osage River.
He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Ulman, a son of J.W. and Ruth Graves Patterson. He was married July 25, 1946, in Marseilles, Frances, to Georgette Anna Gouteyron, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Ulman Christian Church.
Other survivors include: six brothers, Warren Patterson and William Wendell Patterson, both of Tuscumbia, Donald Patterson, Maurice Patterson and Marvin Patterson, all of Ulman, and Harold Patterson, Caulfield; and two sisters, Elsie Yates, Osage Beach, and Carolyn Pryor, Eldon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Jim McGowin and the Rev. Larry Schraer will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Jackson Cemetery, near Ulman.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to Jackson Cemetery.
GASSEN
Services were today for Marcel A. "Red" Gassen Jr., 84, New Orleans, who died May 25, 1999.
He was a son of Marcel and Nina Trepanier Gassen. He was married to Lillie Mae Gourgues Gassen, who survives.
Survivors include: two sons, Marcel A. Gassen III, Jefferson City, and Bryan F. Gassen; one daughter, Patricia Gassen Nieto; and four grandchildren.
Services were at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, New Orleans. Burial was in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice or Masses.
KAPPELMAN
Ronald E. Kappelman, 50, Jefferson City, died May 27, 1999.

Robert Linville, 43, Jefferson City, died May 27, 1999, in Jefferson City.

ROBINSON
Paul Kenneth Robinson, 81, Jefferson City, died May 26, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 23, 1917, in New London, a son of Charles E. "Lefty" and Verna Frances Fraser Robinson.
He worked in the shoe repair business in Kansas City; Cleveland; Mansfield, Ohio; Los Angeles; and Jefferson City, where he opened his first shoe repair shop. He became a licensed funeral director, currently employed by Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
He was an active supporter of the Community Center and was retired from the Missouri State Senate, where he was a doorman.
Survivors include: two sons, Paul K. Robinson Jr., Los Angeles, and Earl W. Robinson, Mansfield; three sisters, Lois E. Woods, Virginia Beach, Va., Frances E. Johnson, Boston, and Marjorie L. Anderson, Jefferson City; one brother, Charles E. Robinson Jr., Cambridge, Mass.; and two grandsons.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Arnold Parks will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday.
RUDER
Mary Ruder, 88, Freeburg, died May 26, 1999, at Maries Manor Health Care Center, Vienna.
She was born Dec. 9, 1910, in Freeburg, a daughter of Peter and Anna Bock Ruder.
A homemaker, she was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg.
Survivors include: one brother, Bernard Ruder, Elberta, Ala.; three sisters, Johanna Bexten, Freeburg, and Emma Rehagen and Virginia Luebbert, both of Jefferson City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Holy Family Church and School Memorial Fund or to Masses.
SCHULTE
Summer Schulte, 21, Jefferson City, died May 27, 1999, in Jefferson City.

LANHAM
Clyde Ovell Lanham, 65, Eldon, died May 28, 1999, in St. Marys Health Center.
He was born May 19, 1934, in Adairsville, Ga., a son of George W. and Grace Green Lanham. He was married Aug. 22, 1964, in Tuscumbia, to Barbara McGowan Lanham, who survives.
A member of the American Legion and VFW post at Eldon, he worked as a chef.
Other survivors include: one son, Kim Wickham, Eldon; and one daughter, Julia Humphrey, Eldon.
One son, Brian Lanham, died Feb. 8, 1991.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mossman and Hess Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial will be in Tol Wood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
GREEN
Glennon J. "Bob" Green, 77, St. Anthony, died Sept. 27, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Boonville, a son of John W. and Mary Elizabeth Steinbach Green. He was married Aug. 8, 1942, in St. Louis, to Josephine Bax, who survives at the home.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where he served as a eucharist minister. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, I.B.E.W. Local 257 and a 4th degree in the St. Jude Assembly.
He assisted in starting the Bishop Marling Chapter of the St. Anthony Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. He worked for Stokes Electric, Jefferson City, for 23 years.
Other survivors include: eight sons, Glennon B. Green, Springfield, Gerald "Jerry" Green, Mark L. Green and Richard A. Green, all of Jefferson City, Edward G. Green, St. Anthony, Joseph D. Green, Centertown, Michael W. Green, St. Thomas, and Kenneth R. Green, St. Elizabeth; four daughters, Dolores E. Struemph, St. Elizabeth, Marilyn G. Swendsen, Honesdale, Pa., Theresa A. Pemberton, Iberia, and Dorothy I. Mueller, Ozark; 34 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Two grandsons preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schutty will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at St. Anthony Parish Hall with a wake service at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary immediately following.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home.
JEFFRIES
Raymond Allen Jeffries, 76, Brumley, died Sept. 28, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center.
He was born May 10, 1924, in Miller County, a son of Benjamin and Rosette Snelling Jeffries. He was married Jan. 14, 1952, to Dorothy Carroll, who survives at the home.
He operated heavy equipment at the Lodge of the Four Seasons and L.O.C. I. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the National Rifle Association and a past member of the VFW of Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: two sons, Raymond Lee Jeffries and Jerry Allen Jeffries, both of Brumley; two daughters, Dorothy Shirley, Pittsburg, Kan., and Betty L. Cotten Jeffries, Rocky Mount; one sister, Phyllis Wright, Jefferson City; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
One daughter, D'Ana Jeffries, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Kaiser.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
ROWDEN
Kyliee Elizabeth Rowden, infant daughter of Robert and Kimberly Roark Rowden, Eldon, died Sept. 27, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 2000, in Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: three sisters, McKayla Rowden, Eldon, Tori Rowden and Kelsi Smith, both of Waynesville; maternal grandmother Brenda Roark, Russellville; maternal grandfather Terry Roark Sr., Eldon; paternal grandmother Carol Burgandy, Honn, Mich.; paternal grandfather William Lace Rowden, Columbia; maternal great-grandfathers Charles Roark, Henley, and Emmitt Arnel, Moberly; paternal great-grandmother Tillie Moad, Eldon; and paternal great-grandfather Robert Rowden, Eldon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Alan McNeely will officiate. Burial will be in Eugene Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
