RAINES
Cleda Louise Raines, 52, Versailles, died July 14, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1948, in Eldorado, Kan., a daughter of John W. and Cornelia Manda Wright Buckner. She was married June 3, 1968, to Ronald Eugene Raines, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Morgan County R-2 High School, Versailles, and was a cosmetologist for 32 years at Hair Port Inc., Laurie. She was a member of Indian Rock Golf Club, Laurie.
Other survivors include: one son, Ronald Eugene Raines II, Versailles; three daughters, Rebecca Ann Furney, Versailles, Julia Ann Smith, Laurie, and Valery Ann Knierim, Sunrise Beach; two brothers, John Wesley Buckner Jr. and Robert Leo Buckner, both of Eldorado; one sister, Cornelia Marcene Watson, Gravois Mills; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
RISSLER
Velma Ann Rissler, 95, Eldon, died July 13, 2001, at Osage Beach Healthcare Center.
She was born Oct. 6, 1905, in Otterville, a daughter of Robert F. and Louisa Allison Dinwiddie. She was married Sept. 23, 1932, in Sedalia, to Richard S. Rissler, who died in 1974.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two nephews, Robert B. Dinwiddie, Columbia, and Rick Rodgers, Eldon; and two nieces, Marcia Aspinall, Naperville, Ill., and Karen Sue Eissenbarth, Eau Claire, Wis.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.
CASTEN
Jack Dale Casten, 65, Russellville, died July 13, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Campbell, Ill., a son of Herbert and Thelma Rubach Casten. He was married Nov. 28, 1957, in Eldon, to Reta Jerene Bond, who survives at the home.
A Marine Corps Reserve for six years, he worked on highway construction for 11 years. He was mayor of Russellville for two terms and city councilman for two terms. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 29 years of employment.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville; the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3096; and the Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5 the Sons of the American Legion.
Other survivors include: one son, Bruce Casten, Columbia; two daughters, Michele Vanwechel, Lohman, and Cindy Bunners, Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Phyllis Ems, St. Louis; one brother, Robert Casten, Pittsburgh; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Russellville. Pastor Nancy Oliver and Pastor Van Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville, with a Fraternal Order of Eagles service at 7:30 p.m.

JOHNSON
Oscar Johnson, 93, Ashland, died July 13, 2001, at Ashland Healthcare, Ashland.
He was born April 3, 1908, in Boone County, a son of William H. and Blanchie Little Johnson.
He worked in construction as a laborer. He was a member of the Laborer's Union 955, Columbia, and the Englewood Community Club. He received his 50 year pin in 1999.
Survivors include: one brother, Henderson Johnson, Englewood; and one sister, Flora Green, Ashland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Elder Wallace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery, Englewood.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday.

WADLEY
Harold Jacob Wadley, 79, Jefferson City, died July 12, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Lexington, a son of John J. and Nora L. Branson Wadley. He was married Sept. 14, 1946, in Jefferson City, to Lucille C. Lutz, who died April 14, 1988.
He was employed with Johnny's Sinclair Service Station; Jefferson City Auto Supply; and the U.S. Post Office as a superintending engineer, retiring in 1982.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was awarded two bronze stars. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; the Men's Sodality; and was a life member of the VFW Post 5.
Survivors include: one daughter, Virginia Lee O'Reilly, Dublin, Ireland; three sons, Harold C. Wadley, Mark A. Wadley and Thomas J. Wadley, all of Jefferson City; one brother, David "Gip" Wadley, Jefferson City; his fiancee, Emily Bowen, Stone, England; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
DUNBAR
Clara Smith Dunbar, 61, Jefferson City, died July 12, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Lake Village, Ark., a daughter of Matthew Sr. and S.C. Smith. She was married Oct. 13, 1954 to Oscar Dunbar, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, Billy Dunbar, Jefferson City, Miker Dunbar, Aurora, Colo., and Zachary Dunbar, St. Louis; one daughter, LaSonya Dunbar, Jefferson City; two brothers, Edward Smith, Pine Bluff, Ark., and Willie Smith, Lake Village, Ark.; three sisters, Bobby Smith and Dixie Young, both of Lake Village, and Jessie Robinson, Racine, Wis..; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday at Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church, Lake Village. Burial will be in Tolliver Cemetery, Lake Village.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home, Pine Bluff, Ark.
MAXEY-DUKE
Tildia E. Maxey-Duke, 75, Holts Summit, died July 15, 2001 at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 18, 1925, in Blandville, Ken., a daughter of John T. and Euva Sullivan Stigall. She was married Dec. 6, 1941, to Edgar A. Maxey, who died in 1974. She was married Sept. 22, 1990, in Holts Summit, to James R. Duke, who survives at the home.
She attended Blandville Public Schools.
She worked for International Shoe.
She also worked for Sears in Kansas City and in El Paso, Texas .
She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the VFW.
Other survivors include: one son, Myron Maxey, Holts Summit; three brothers, James Stigall, Paducah, Ken., Joe Don Stigall, Wickliffe, Ken., and John Stigall, Barlow, Ken.; three sisters, Pauline Mackey, Barlow, Ken., Madgel Bumpus, St. Charles, and Janice Howard, St. Peters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services will be at Milner and Orr Funeral Home, Wickliffe. Burial will be in Blandville Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center Dental Clinic.

SCHNEIDER
Anna Charlotte Schneider, 91, Jefferson City, died July 15, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born April 26, 1910, in Hope, a daughter of Joseph and Bertha Nolting Schwegler. She was married March 29, 1931, in Hope, to William Schneider, who died June 24, 1983.
She attended Hope Public Schools. She moved to Freedom in 1933 and farmed.
She was a member of the Central United Church of Christ. She had been a member of Ryors Zion Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, and was a member of the choir and Ladies Aid.
Survivors include: one son, Howard Schneider, Jefferson City; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ryors Zion United Church of Christ. The Rev. Stephen H. Buchholz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Central United Church of Christ or the Ryors Zion United Church of Christ.
WININGEAR
Wesley Winingear, 61, Fulton, died July 15, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Carrington, a son of Hollis and May Burton Winingear. He was married Jan. 5, 1962 to Linda Acton, who survives in Fulton.
He owned and operated a dump truck hauling business.
Other survivors include: one son, John Winingear, Columbia; one daughter, Sheila Richards, Fulton; one brother Hollis Winingear, Columbia; one sister, Trellis Kemp, Fulton; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday to Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
