LEEZY

Priscilla Chappell Leezy, 81, Brentwood, died June 11, 2001, at Delmar Gardens West Nursing Home, Chesterfield.

She was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Wainright, a daughter of William N. and Sylvia Sone Chappell. She was married to Edward Cole Leezy, who preceded her in death.

She grew up in  Jefferson City and graduated from  Jefferson City High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She lived in  Jefferson City until she and her husband moved to the St. Louis area in 1946.

She was a member of Webster Groves Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include: one daughter, Sylvia L. Stoll, Webster Groves; one sister, Ann Chappell; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Gerber Chapel, Webster Groves.

Memorials are suggested to Webster Groves Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

DIEHL

Linda Edith Bertha Diehl, 63,  Jefferson City, died June 11, 2001, at Capital Healthcare Center.

She was born May 18, 1938, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Oscar H. and Margaret M. Meier Engelbrecht. She was married in 1965, in Winter Haven, Fla., to Donn R. Diehl.

A homemaker, she attended Immanuel Lutheran School, Honey Creek, and was a graduate of Eugene High School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Holts Summit.

She was employed as a secretary at the Missouri National Guard, the Missouri Power and Light Company and the Missouri River Home Health Care Agency.

Survivors include: one son, Kevin Lee Diehl, Russellville; two brothers, Hugo Engelbrecht, Austin, Texas , and Carl Engelbrecht, Neosho; and one sister, Selma Zehnder, North Wales, Pa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Stephen Krenz will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

HOERSCHGEN

Wilfred F. Hoerschgen, 78, Bonnots Mill, died June 13, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born July 16, 1922, in Loose Creek, a son of Anthony J. and Odelia "Tillie" Schmitz Hoerschgen. He was married June 5, 1943, in Bonnots Mill, to Mary Ellen Vogel Hoerschgen, who survives at the home.

He was a member of the St. Louis Church, Bonnots Mill, the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Knights of America.

He worked at Gerbes Supermarket,  Jefferson City. He owned and operated Hoerschgen Cafe, Bonnots Mill.

Survivors include: four sons, Tom Hoerschgen, Springfield, Jim Hoerschgen, Bonnots Mill, John Hoerschgen, Kansas City, Kan., and Paul Hoerschgen, Columbia; two daughters, Diana Bailey, Loose Creek, and Cindy Kever, Bonnots Mill; one brother, Lester Hoerschgen, Loose Creek; one sister, Bernice Davis, Fulton; 12 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Church, Bonnots Mill. The Rev. Fr. George Kramer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery, Bonnots Mill.

Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

BANGERT

Maxine Louise Tising Bangert, 87, Kansas City, formerly of High Point, died June 12, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center, Kansas City.

She was born Sept. 16, 1913, in High Point, a daughter of Lloyd J. and Bertha Bell Reichel Tising. She was married June 2, 1940, in High Point, to Athel Bangert, who survives in Kansas City.

She was a 1931 graduate of California High School and a 1938 graduate of Central Missouri State University. She taught school for 25 years.

She lived in Springfield for 32 years and was a member of University Heights Baptist Church, the WMU and the McClure Bible Study. She was active with several bridge groups.

Survivors include: one son, Jack Bangert, Leawood, Kan.; one daughter, Judy Mitchell, Lancaster, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Friday at High Point Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Foley will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to High Point Baptist Church, High Point, Mo. 65042; the High Point Cemetery Association; or to University Heights Baptist Church, 1010 S. National, Springfield, Mo. 65804.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

WEBB

Ollie Delores Webb, 76, Stover, died June 14, 2001, at her home.

She was born April 1, 1925, in Proctor, a daughter of Charles and Ella May Capps Allen. She was married on Oct. 8, 1946, to Walter L. Webb, who died in December 1972.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Stover.

Survivors include: one son, Walter L. "Skipper" Webb, Stover; one daughter, Janice Wutzke, Grandview, Wash.; one sister, Frieda Baker, Cowgill; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. The Rev. Wilford Whittle will officiate. Burial will at the Stover Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Ollie Webb memorial fund.

GRAVES

Dixie D. Reed Bogart Graves, 59, California, died June 14, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born June 9, 1942, in California, a daughter of John Sr. and Mary Garrison Bogart. Her father survives in Kansas City.

She was employed in the dietary department at Capital Region Medical Center. She was a member of Victoria Tabernacle Family Church, and attended Argentine High School, both in Kansas City, Kan.

Other survivors include: one son, Edsel Fay Graves Jr., Kansas City, Kan.; one brother, John Bogart Jr., Lake Lotawana; one sister, Sherrie Margolin, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Thomas Skaggs will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, c/o Judy Allee, P.O. Box 333, Latham, Mo. 65050; or Capital Region Home Health Care, 1125 Madison St.,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101.

GROSSO

Daniel Joseph Grosso Sr., 74, Lexington, died June 13, 2001, at Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington.

He was born April 27, 1927, in New Brunswick, N.J., a son of Joseph and Caroline Nigro Grosso. He was married April 27, 1947, to Norma Ann Nicola, who died April 25, 1995.

He worked as leadman at Vendo Corporation and as a forklift driver in Lake City. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington, and the Lexington Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He served in Maritime Service.

Survivors include: two sons, Daniel J. Grosso Jr., Lexington, and Anthony J. Grosso,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Jamie Brewer, Lee's Summit; four brothers, Frank Grosso, Patsy Grosso, John Grosso and Mauro Grosso, all of New Jersey; one sister, Antoinette Saladino, state of Florida; and five grandsons.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington. The Rev. Terrell Finnell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington.

Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Walker-Nadler Funeral Home, Lexington, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Lexington Little League Baseball.

MACIEJEWSKI

Floy Lucille "Lou" Maciejewski, 74, Del Rio, Texas , died June 13, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Dec. 16, 1926 in Paden, Okla., a daughter of James and Lettie Hill Looper. She was married in May 1953, in Amarillo, Texas , to Jerome Stephen Maciejewski, who died Dec. 29, 1986.

She was a homemaker and was formerly employed as Base Exchange manager at the Amarillo Air Force Base, Texas . She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a volunteer with the Val Verde Hospital Auxiliary, both in Del Rio, Texas .

Survivors include: four daughters, Barbara A. Hill,  Jefferson City; Deborah M. Maciejowski, Abilene, Texas ; Susie Jechow, Del Rio, Texas ; and Teresa K. Bruton, Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters, Kathryn Ferguson and Mary Crabtree, Amarillo, Texas ; and Coy Berry, Midland, Texas ; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Baylor Jones, three brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Del Rio, Texas . Burial will be at Del Rio Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Sunday with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. at G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home, Del Rio, Texas .

Local arrangements are by Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the Val Verde Hospital Auxiliary, Del Rio, Texas , or to The Special Learning Center.

McKINZIE

Willie Henry Lee McKinzie, 94,  Jefferson City, died June 14, 2001, at Life Care Center of Waynesville.

He was born Sept. 12, 1906, in Cole County, a son of Frank and Elvina Wilkerson McKinzie.

He attended school in Lohman and Washington School,  Jefferson City. He was a maintenance worker for the  Jefferson City Street Department for 30 years until his retirement in 1970. He worked as a farm hand on several area farms. He was a member of the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church,  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: one son, John Edward McKinzie,  Jefferson City; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, Billie Sue McKinzie and Helen McKinzie, and one son, Willie McKinzie Jr., preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Geneva Whittler will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church.
