KLICK

Robert Klick, 50, of Palatine, Ill., formerly of  Jefferson City, died Dec. 22, 2000, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, Ill.

He was born March 2, 1950, in  Jefferson City, a son of Warren and Alta Koestner Klick. His mother, Alta Klick, survives in  Jefferson City. He was married June 16, 1973, in  Jefferson City to Susan E. Robinett, who survives at the home.

A resident of the  Jefferson City area until 1976, he was a 1968 graduate of  Jefferson City High School and a 1975 graduate of Lincoln University with a masters in business. He worked for United Airlines with the Walker Project in accounts payable and was the director of special projects for United Airlines. He attended Central United Church of Christ in  Jefferson City and was attending the Church of the Brethren in Chicago.

Other survivors include: one son, Troy Klick of Palatine, Ill.; and two sisters, Martha Doyle of Fulton and Rita Newman of New Bloomfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Freeman Chapel with Rev. Joe Gregersen officiating. Burial will be in the Robinett Cemetery near Ulman. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of  Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.

LANGSTADT

Margaret Lois Langstadt, 86, Holts Summit, died Dec. 21, 2000, at her home.

She was born Sept. 17, 1914, at Chula, Mo, the daughter of John and Mary DeWitt Humphreys. She was married Nov. 16, 1940, at Blytheville, Ark., to Adolph Max Langstadt, who died on May 25, 1992.

She attended school at Laredo, and was a graduate of the Laredo High School. She had received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Northwest Missouri State Teachers College at Marville, and had received her masters degree in guidance and counseling from Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville. She was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and the P.E.O. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Charles, and a member of St. Theodore's Episcopal Church in Bella Vista, Ark. She had been employed as a teacher and counselor in several elementary schools including Clayton, Memphis, Tenn., St. Charles and St. Louis County.

Survivors include: one son, John A. Langstadt, St. Charles; three daughters, Mary Kathryn Regot, Holts Summit, Anne Windes, Suwanee, Ark., and L. Jeanne Hostetler, Windsor; and seven grandchildren.

Private family services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to the Mid-Missouri Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

RAY

Wayne Edward Ray, 58, of Freeburg, died Dec. 17, 2000, at the home.

He was born Feb. 27, 1942, in St. Louis, a son of George R. and Johanna P. Quillen Ray. He was married to Joann Lange, who preceded him in death.

He was a resident of central Missouri for several years, and was employed as a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by one daughter, Christine L. Knipp of St. Peters.

His remains were donated to science. A private family memorial was conducted, with local arrangements handled under the direction of Morton Funeral Service in Linn.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

REID

Shirley Jean Arnold Buffington Reid, 67, of Holts Summit, formerly of California, Mo., died Dec. 22, 2000, at Green Meadow Health Care Center in Linn.

She was born Dec. 11, 1933, near  Jefferson City, the daughter of Earl and Velma Luster Arnold. Mrs. Arnold survives in California. She was married to Cecil Buffington who died in 1973. She then was married in 1975 to Jack Reid, who died Oct. 22, 2000.

She worked at California Manufacturing and later worked at Westinghouse Electric Company, now known as ABB in  Jefferson City. She attended school in Wichita Falls, Texas , and graduated from the Central Institute of the Deaf in St. Louis.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Connie Jean Buffington Choate of Fulton; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, with the Rev. Nick Dignan officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery in California. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 1316 Parkade Blvd., P.O. Box 1013, Columbia, MO 65205.

RITTER

Iris Marie Ritter, 52, Versailles, died Dec. 22, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Tipton.

She was born April 13, 1948, in Kansas City, the daughter of David T. and Ruby L. Casey Kain.

She was a member of West Union Baptist Church near Versailles.

Survivors include: two daughters, Christina Marie Ritter of Versailles and Phyllis Ann Ratliff of Tipton; one step-son, Lanny Lee Ritter II of Fulton; her mother and step-father, Ruby and Everett Rayl of Versailles; three half brothers, David Kain, Jr., and Tony Kain, both of Warsaw, and Terry R. Rayl of Charleston, W.Va.; one step-brother, Ronald D. Rayl of Versailles; seven half-sisters, Mae Ella Kain, Lorene Kain and Connie L. Hamilton of Stover; Theresa A. Lowe of Baltimore, Md.; Martha J. Cianos of Wilson, N.C., Tammie S. Davenport of Indianapolis and Melinda F. Wallace of Seneca, S.C.; one step-sister, Gayle Lehman of Stover; one granddaughter and two step-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Wayne Ritter and one step-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with the Rev. Rod Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Iris M. Ritter Memorial Fund.

ROBERTS

Nadean Massey Roberts, 86, of Augusta, Ga., died Dec. 21, 2000, in the Eisenhower Medical Center, Ft. Gordan, Ga.

She was born March 13, 1914, in Green County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Towe.

She was first married to Ernest Guy Massey, who preceded her in death in 1973. Her second husband, Paul Thompson also preceded her in death. He third husband, Guy Nutt, died on Nov. 10, 1978.

She was a civil service employee at Ft. Leonard Wood as a quarter master supervisor.

Survivors include: one son, Ernest A. Massey of St. Robert; two brothers, Paul Towe of Nixa and Dale Towe of Springfield; one sister, Mary Troupe of Springfield; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Crocker Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Leonard Wood Post Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.

ROSS

Pamela Mary Ross, 53,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 22, 2000, at her home.

She was born April 2, 1947, at St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Clifford and Kathleen Cody Olsen. She was married Feb. 14, 1988, at San Antonio, Texas , to Charles D. Ross Sr., who died Jan. 7, 1994.

She had attended the schools at San Antonio, Texas , and was a graduate of the Thomas  Jefferson High School at San Antonio, Texas . She was a member of the Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Mesquite Trail Riders Association of San Antonio, Texas . She was a homemaker, and had also been owner-operator of Jewelry Creations by Pam, a jewelry store.

Survivors include: three daughters, Barbara Ann Robinson, San Antonio, Texas , Elizabeth Jane Rowland, Washington , D.C., and April Emily Mangum of Sequin, Texas ; one brother, William C. Welch, Houston, texas; and one sister, Patricia Jean Smith,  Jefferson City.

Private family services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to the Calfarley Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas .

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

RUDROFF

Anna Rudroff, 94, Linn, died Dec. 21, 2000, at Green Meadows Health Care Center in Linn.

She was born April 29, 1906, in London, England, a daughter of Johann and Katharina Kircher. She was married May 31, 1927, in Rich Fountain, to George J. Rudroff, who died Nov. 13, 1999.

At the age of 8, she moved from England to Germany, where she attended school. In 1925, she emigrated to the United States. She was a member of the St. George Church in Linn and a member of the Western Catholic Union. She worked as a homemaker and a farmer.

Survivors include: three daughters, Evelyn E. Murphy of Bridgeton, Catherine A. Moreland of  Jefferson City, and Ilene T. Jenkins of Clayton; one brother, George King of London, England; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Church with the Rev. Father Paul Hartley officiating. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home in Linn. A special prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Morton Chapel.

Memorials are suggested to the St. George Activity Center in Linn.

SITZLER

Warren A. Sitzler, 73, of Gravois Mills, died Dec. 21, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1927, in Kansas City, the son of the late Otto and Ellen Godard Sitzler.

He graduated from Glennon High School in 1944. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in Korea. Warren lived in the Kansas City area until 1982, when he retired from TWA after 38 years of service and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a member of the Kent Memorial Lutheran Church in Sunrise Beach. He was a former member of Northland Elks Lodge #2376 in Kansas City and a charter member of the Osage Community Elks Lodge #2705 in Laurie. He was a member of the Ozark Lakers Square Dance Club, the American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 in Sunrise Beach, and active member of the P Road Crime Watch, the TWA Laker Senior Club and the Monday Senior Bowling League in Laurie.

Survivors include: his wife, Kay, of the home; two daughters, Cindy Pratte of Boothbay Harbor, Maine; Lorrie Schmitz, Scottsboro, Ala.; three sons, Terry Johnson of Garland, Texas , Tim Johnson of Garland, Texas , and Tom Johnson, of Carollton, Texas ; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie, with the Rev. Scott B. Musselman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
