Eldora F. Bradley, 88, of Marshall, MO, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Born December 9, 1924, in Centralia, MO, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Permelia Jennings. On December 9, 1941, she married Leonard Bradley who preceded her in death on January 1, 1984. She had lived in Marshall since 1969, moving from Centralia, and retired from ConAgra after 17 years of service. She attended Assembly of God in Marshall. She was very family oriented and loved her grandchildren and cat.
Survivors include two sons, Silas Bradley and wife Kay of Marshall and Leonard Jr. Bradley of Olathe, KS; one daughter, Barbara Thomas and husband Sam of Marshall; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Clarence Bradley; two sisters, Pauline Atkins and Helen McClain; and a step-grandson, Tony Reeves.
Carl E. Colson
February 7, 1931 - December 17, 2012
Carl E. Colson, 81, of Sedalia, MO, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs, with Rev. Dan Wing officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Sedalia or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs.
Born February 7, 1931, in Dunksburg, MO, he was the son of the late Jesse Colson and Eula Mae Marshall Colson. On June 27, 1953, he married Shirley Ann Fricke who survives of the home. He had lived in Sedalia since 1980, moving from Sweet Springs, and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sedalia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, was a member of Sweet Springs American Legion Post 279 and a life member of Disabled American Veterans.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four children, Carl Ray Colson and wife Carolyn of Sweet Springs and their children, Sara and Lori; Diane Swift and husband Gaylon of Marshall and their children, Grant, Tyler, Conner, Joel, Bonnie and Mollie; Wanda Welch and husband Mike and their children, Brian, Jason, and Brad; and Barbara Clevenger and husband Philip and their children, Scott, John, and Cindi; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Printz of Sidney, NE and Martha Heins of Mason City, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Lester, Ben and Jesse Colson, Jr.
Esther Pace
September 8, 1906 - December 17, 2012
Esther Pace, 106, of Marshall, MO, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at County Club Care Center in Warrensburg, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
Born September 8, 1906, in Napton, MO, she was the daughter of the late George Wilson Pace and Elizabeth Custer Pace. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and had worked at International Shoe Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Pace and Wilson Pace; and three sisters, Hazel Renno, Ruth Hunt and Georgia Gillespie.
Helen Kay Alexander
September 15, 1936 - November 27, 2011
Helen Kay Alexander, 75, of rural Marshall, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011, at her home.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at the Blackwater Church of Christ, Blackwater, MO. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Kay was born September 15, 1936, to David Avon and Delphine (Green) LaForce. On June 7, 1957, at Red Top Christian Church in Hallsville, MO, Kay married Ronald Alexander, who survives of the home.
After graduating from Hallsville High School, Hallsville, MO in 1954, she graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocational Home Economics Education, and a Masters Degree in Clothing and Textiles, in 1958. Additionally, she earned a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist graduating Summa Cum Laude from Central Missouri State University. Kay taught Vocational Home Economics for two years in Murray, Iowa; one year at Ashland, MO; and two years at Richmond, MO. She taught adult classes for University Extension in clothing construction. Kay retired after teaching 22 years at Blackwater Elementary School, Blackwater, MO teaching 5th and 6th grade.
Kay loved to be near her family, traveling across the United States, camping and canoeing with family and friends, and celebrating birthdays and holidays with her family. Kay was a member of the Church of Christ and taught children’s Sunday school for many years.
Kay Alexander is also survived by her children, Brad Alexander of Dallas, TX, Doug Alexander and wife, Jennifer, of Marshall, Greg Alexander and wife, Debbie, of Sheldon, IA, Jill Reynolds and husband, Mel, of Marshall, and Kathi Barnes and husband, Roger, of Chillicothe, MO; six grandchildren; a brother, Gerald LaForce and wife, Laurie, of Hallsville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Reynolds.
Wesley L. Kleinschmidt

Wesley L. Kleinschmidt, 86, of Marshall, MO, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Community Cancer Center in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born January 17, 1925, in Victoria, MO, he was the son of the late Lilburn Kleinschmidt and Mildred Meinhardt Kleinschmidt. On July 9, 1950, he married Maurine Vaught who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1949, moving from DeSoto, MO, and was a retired building contractor and farmer. He attended First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Elaine Kay Schamens of Kearney, MO; one son, Dale Louis Kleinschmidt and wife Nancy of Marshall; four grandchildren, Stacey Ritchie and husband Gary, Julie Henning and husband Kyle, Aaron Kleinschmidt and Andrew Kleinschmidt; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and McKenna Ritchie, Jaden and Skyla Henning; two sisters, Evelyn Lewis of DeSoto and Wilma Dautenhahn of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Schamens, and a great-grandson, Justin Schamens-Ritchie.
Goldie F. Mitchell
December 2, 1917 - November 15, 2011
Goldie F. Mitchell, 93, of Marshall, MO, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with visitation one hour prior to the service. Dr. Robert W. Sweeten will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Christian Comrades Flower Fund.
Born December 2, 1917 in Hickory County, MO, she was the daughter of the late William Edward McClure and Ellen Black McClure. On October 18, 1938, she married Floyd C. (Bill) Mitchell, who preceded her in death on June 1, 2004. She lived in Marshall since 1939 and was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church where she was a member of its Christian Comrades Class.
She is survived by one niece, Mary Ellen Kingery Wilson and husband, Jerry, of Grove, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Floyd McClure; and two sisters, Nona Pearl McClure and Ruby W. Kingery.
Tom Wyatt
September 20, 1952 - November 29, 2011
Sterling Thomas (Tom) Wyatt, 59, of Marshall, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Elder Jean Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Hope Lodge in St. Louis, MO or Community Cancer Center.
Born September 20, 1952, in Fayette, MO, he was the son of the late Sterling Ray Wyatt and Juanita Williams Wyatt. He lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School. On June 26, 1976, he married Judi Clause who survives of the home. He retired after 33 years from Marshall Municipal Utilities and attended Community of Christ Church in Marshall.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sara Head and husband Jeremy of Slater, MO; one son, James Adam Wyatt and companion Mollie of Marshall; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Keiton and Alison Head; one sister, Doolie Wyatt of Sedalia, MO; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Thornton, and a brother in infancy, Ernest Wyatt.
