Alexander, Madeline
Madeline Alta Alexander of Sullivan, Missouri passed away at the Life Care Center of Sullivan on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age of 76 years and 10 months.
Madeline was born April 11, 1931 at Ebo, Missouri, one of six children born to Elijah Richard and Alta Estella (Huckstep) Sparks. As a young girl, the family moved to the Sullivan area and on August 12, 1950 was married to Roy M. (Max) Alexander. Three children were born to this union and she continually demonstrated her homemaking skills as a devoted wife and mother with her excellent cooking and sweet disposition. Madeline was also known for her sense of humor and family priorities. She often welcomed and entertained people into her home, many of whom she did not know and who were friends of her children. Madeline was a faithful member of Sullivan Chapter #105 Order of Eastern Star and was a three time Worthy Matron AND VERY ACTIVE IN THE rainbow Girls.. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Sullivan.
She is survived by her husband Roy M. (Max) Alexander of the family home, two sons; Steve Alexander and wife Suzanne of Rolla, Missouri and Paul Alexander and wife Sharon of Sullivan; one daughter, Yvonne Tidwell and husband Jere of St. Peters, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sean, Megan, P.D., Brandi and Lindsy; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Paul and Glenn Sparks and two sisters, Wyanetha Casey and Genevieve Lubben.
Funeral services were conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2008 from Grace United Methodist Church in Sullivan with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Interment was in Oddfellows Cemetery. Order of Eastern Star memorial services were conducted at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening under the auspices of Sullivan Chapter #105. Those who desire may make memorial donations to Grace United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri.
Revelle, Robert G.
Robert G. Revelle of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at the age of 50 years.
Robert was born on July 12, 1957 at Lebanon, Missouri to Jane Ellen (Crain) Revelle and the late Charles L. Revelle. He was raised in Flat River, Missouri and moved to the Bourbon area when he was a teenager. On November 6, 1977 he was united in marriage to Denise Riegel and made their home in Sullivan. Robert’s vocation was that of a carpenter and millwright in the commercial construction trade. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also found pleasure in gardening and woodworking and especially sprint car racing. Robert was also a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church of Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife Denise of the family home; a son, Joshua Revelle and wife Alison of Sullivan, Missouri; a daughter, Sarah Revelle of Sullivan; a step-son, Preston Hillman and friend Lori of the state of Minnesota; his mother, Jane Revelle of Bossier, Louisiana; a brother, Charles Revelle and wife Robin of the state of Oklahoma; two sisters, Debbie Bragg and husband Bob and Maggie Ince and husband John all of Bossier, Louisiana; two granddaughters, Audrey Elizabeth and Ava Marie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Sullivan with the Rev. Father Dennis Zacheis officiating. Interment was in St. Anthony Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Pennock, Dolores C.
Dolores C. Pennock of Sullivan, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at the age of 86 years.
Dolores (nee Wilkinson) was born on March 28, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Jesse Pennock on June 21, 1940 at Lemay, Missouri. She and Jesse were known throughout the mid-west as Square Dancers with Jesse “calling” Square Dancing and Dolores teaching Round Dancing. Besides her love of Square Dancing, Dolores loved to crochet.
She is survived by one son, Timothy A. Pennock and wife Kathy of West Burlington, Iowa; two grandsons, Chris Pennock and wife Stacey of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Steve Pennock and wife Valerie of Quad Cities, Iowa; two great-grandsons, Aidan and Logan Pennock; a sister, Jane Gestring of St. Louis, Missouri; a nephew, David Gestring and wife Geri of St. Louis; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, in 2005.
A Graveside Memorial Service was conducted at 12:00 p.m. noon on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in the I.O.O.F. Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Isgrigg, Edward L.
Edward L. Isgrigg of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the age of 71 years.
Edward was born on August 19, 1936 in Anthonies Mill, MO to Floyd and Martha (nee Mercer) Isgrigg. He honorably served his country in the US Army and worked most of his life as an operating engineer for heavy equipment Local 513. He married Virginia Eaton in 1959 and to this union had four children. He loved to deer hunt, fish, raise cattle and spend time with his special companion and life partner Joyce.
He is survived by his life partner, Joyce Roach; four children, Brent Isgrigg and wife Michelle of Sullivan, MO, Donna Winston and husband James of Wentzville, MO, Dedra Jones and husband Gaylen of Springfield, MO, and Crystal Smith and husband Jerry of Gerald, MO; two brothers, Clifford Isgrigg and wife Patricia of Bourbon and John Isgrigg and wife Janet of Bland, MO; a sister, Annabelle Halmich and husband Melvin of Springfield, MO; 14 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Edward Isgrigg were conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Interment was in Anthonies Mill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation was from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials to either the Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home.
Dondero, Chester Frank
Chester Frank Dondero of Sullivan, Missouri passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the age of 88 years.
Chester was born on August 21, 1919 in Sacramento, CA to Lester Frank and Gertrude (nee Meshka) Dondero. After high school, he honorably served his country during WWII in the US Army. He was in Aleutian Islands Campaign, Marshals Islands Campaign, Philippine Island Campaign, and Okinawa Campaign where he earned a Purple Heart and Six Bronze Service Stars. He knew Barbara Sanchez nearly all of his life and the two were married on February 19, 1994 in Cuba, Missouri. Chester enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team spending time with his grandchildren.
Chester is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sanchez) Dondero of the family home; a daughter, Donna Bardero and husband Carlo; step-children, Ronald Senkirk of New York, Marsha King of Sullivan, Steve Hughes and friend Martha of St. Clair, Mark Hughes and wife Linda of Leasburg, Matt Hughes and wife Michelle of St. Clair; grandchildren, Richard Johnson and wife Tracy of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Hughes; great-grandchildren, Tierney and Abigail Johnson; niece Carol Thorton and husband Richard of California; nephew Gary Bell and wife Pricilla of Virginia; other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Bell.
Graveside funeral services for Chester Dondero were conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Meramec Hills Memorial Garden in Cuba with full military honors. Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Sullivan Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to BJC Hospice in the name of Chester Dondero.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Dixon, Glenn A.
Glenn A. Dixon of Bourbon, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the age of 49 years.
Glenn was born on August 30, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to George Walter and Estelle (Witt) Juergens, one of 9 children. He worked for many years in automotive parts as a salesman for O’ Reilly Automotive, Napa, and Goodyear. Glenn was also employed by Randy Nolie Towing for a time. Glenn was also a volunteer at the Sullivan Fire Department. He married Tinamarie Heise on July 18, 1998 in Leasburg in the home of Don and Lydia Sampson.
He is survived by his wife, Tinamarie (Heise) of the family home; two daughters, Melissa Lynn Dixon and Crystal Rose Graddy and husband Derick all of Sullivan; four step children, Michael Missey and wife Laura, currently stationed in Kuwait, Lisa Marie Johnson, Kimberly Ann Hopkins and husband Mark, and Steven Anthony Missey all of Bourbon; brothers Merle Juergens and wife Shirley, and Gary Juergens all of Sullivan; sisters, Vicky Wigger and husband Dick, Linda Darlene Blankenship and husband Sonny, Ethel Mae Saddoris and husband Raymond all of Sullivan, Sharon Moss of Steelville, MO, and Patsy Marie Dapice of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Luella Heise of Bourbon; brother-in-law Lawrence Heise and wife Ronnie of Bourbon; sisters-in-law, Patricia House and husband Jay of St. Clair, Alice Johnson an husband, Jay of Sullivan, Catherine Heise of Bourbon, close friends, Don and Lydia Sampson of Leasburg, members of the Sullivan Fire Department; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Dennis Juergens; and a sister Robin Rene Dixon.
Funeral services for Glenn Dixon were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation began at noon. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Byrne, Rita K.
Rita K. Byrne of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the age of 83 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Byrne of Sullivan, Missouri; one son James T. Byrne of St. Charles, Missouri; two grandsons, James T. Bryne IV and Adam H. Roberts; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2008 in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Beitler, Craig Steven
Craig S. Beitler of Sullivan, Missouri passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the age of 44 years.
Craig was born at Chicago, Illinois on April 24, 1966 to Melvin Robert and Joan Roslind (Kadlub) Beitler. He was raised and grew up in Chicago and lived there until 1995. Craig was employed as a furniture mover with Trans America Van Lines while in Chicago. In 1998, he moved to Sullivan and worked at the Sheltered Industries of Meramec Valley.
He is survived by two sisters; Pamela Kaehler and husband Jim of St. Clair, Missouri and Michelle Torres of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Rodney Beitler of Wheaton, Illinois; a special friend, Salli Tester of Sullivan; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with cremation following. Visitation was held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Beers, Denver Dale
Denver Dale Beers of Miller, MO, passed away, Monday, February 21, 2011, at the age of 71 years.
Dale, as he was known, was born in Lesterville, MO on October 31, 1939 to James Ransom Beers and Olive Mae (Turner) Beers, one of 10 children. He married Jean Immekus on June 1, 1957 who preceded him death on August 31, 1982. He married Corinne Shanks on June 16, 1983.
Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with family, and traveling the country. While married to Ida Jean, he headed up a Country and Western band known as “Denver Beers and the Missouri Wranglers”. Playing music was one of his favorite passions in life and he continued to play music until he could no longer hold his guitar.
Later in life, Dale and Corinne started a new hobby of raising and showing dogs, which he truly enjoyed.
Dale loved watching western movies, playing bingo and any musical activities while he was a resident at Dade County Nursing Facility. Dale was always right there in the front row, playing his guitar and singing along with the special musical events.
Dale was a diesel mechanic, a truck driver and a factory worker for most of his life. He was raised in, and lived most of his life in Missouri. He also lived in Colorado, Texas and Georgia.
He is survived by his second wife, Corinne; by his four children from his marriage to Ida Jean- two daughters - Terry Morris and her husband Bill of Miller, MO; Dianna Beers and partner Cait Eyre of Spokane, Washington; and two sons, Dale D. Beers and Jeanne Burrus of Nevada, MO; Steve Beers and his wife Amanda of Lamar, MO.; eight grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Ransom Utah Beers of New Haven, MO and one sister Willie Marie Williams of Centerville, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
A Memorial Services for Denver Beers was conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with inurnment following in Oddfellows Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
