Donald Troy Cunningham passed away unexpectedly at his residence near Troy, MO on March 13, 2013. He was born November 10, 1964, at Denton, TX to Donnie and Bonnie (Rose) Cunningham. Troy was the youngest of 3 children born of this union. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Cunningham. Also surviving are his siblings, Donna, Michelle (Greg) Elliott and Lonnie Reid (Michelle) Cunningham. Troy attended school at Wentzville, MO. Following his graduation from high school, he attended the Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship at Piney Point, MD. After graduating in the top one third of his class (#428) of special stewards, he served in the Merchant Marines. Later, he returned to St. Louis where he operated heavy equipment as a member of “Operating Engineers #513”. He later moved to Kentucky where he was partner in a lawn service business. While in Kentucky, he entertained residents at a local retirement home where his mother was employed. He was caring, compassionate, and loved people; and was loved in turn by the residents of the home. He enjoyed sports and was an avid outdoorsman. His greatest passions were hunting and fishing, followed closely by a love for cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Cunningham. Surviving are brothers, Kent and Chad Cunningham, sisters, Courtney Zoll, Kerry Henry, and Stacy Webb. He is survived by one son, Chandler Cunningham, daughters, Rita and Julia Saunchgrow, Angelia Akeman, and Christina Cunningham. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Autumn George and Olivia Mess.

He was the beloved grandfather of grandchildren, Trevon, Tanner, Caitlyn, Dayton, Annalise. He is preceded in death by his father, Phainon Rutherford, and mother, Minnie Rutherford nee Gibson.

She was the beloved grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Lewis, mother, Flora Belle Lewis nee Elzey, husband, Samuel Henson Jr. She left a wonderful legacy of strength, grace and inner beauty for her family. Before her illness she was very active at Wentzville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, participated in United Methodist women and Kingdom House where she volunteered. She was a basketball star in High school.
