Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church. Beloved wife of the late Edward Alexander and mother of Micki (Frank) Alexander Heffernan. Loving grandmother of Aubrie and Kristie Jones. Dear aunt of Robert (Pattie) Smith and Sara Ostrander and great aunt of Jaime Smith. Marian was preceded in death by her daughter, Kate Alexander and her parents Andrew and Kate Massa Merello. Marian attended St. Ann’s Grade School in Normandy, Incarnate Word Academy High School and Fontbonne College. Marian forged a legacy of dedicated volunteering spanning 25, 000 hours over 32 years at Children’s Hospital. With out exception Marian lived to help others; it was her objective in life. A woman of infinite compassion she assisted physicians in lessening fears of children awaiting treatments; inventing a compassion to explain procedures in recreational therapy. Throughout her lifetime Marian earned countless awards achievement plaques and nominations. Services: Visitation 10:30-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Pitman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Pkwy, Wentzville. Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant. Memorial contributions preferred to St. Louis Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Mrs. Mygatt was the dear aunt of Ruth (Jim) Lewis of Lititz, PA. she was preceded in death by her father, William Giesmann, mother, Sophie Giesmann, 1st husband, William Craig, 2nd husband, James Mygatt, and sister, Pearl Holzwarth. Mrs. Mygatt was a member of Lincoln County Chapter of Eastern Star, and Wright City Chapter #295, Past Matron 1974, Femme Osage Women's Fellowship, VFW Women's Auxiliary and Friends of Emmaus at Marthasville. She belonged to Femme Osage United Church of Christ. She was a resident at Homestead in Hickory Views.
