Ms. Windmann was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Wright City, she was baptized in 1920. Evelyn loved to take care of animals.

Marvin Lee Poston, 86 formerly of Mexico, passed away at Gamma Road Lodge Nursing Home in Wellsville on July 30, 2013. Marvin Lee Poston was born May 20, 1927 in McKittrick, MO to Willard and Myrtle (Thurman) Poston. He attended school at Big Springs and worked to help support his younger sisters after his mother passed away at a young age. Marvin was a decorated veteran of the United States Army serving 44 months in World War II in France, Belgium and Germany. He was discharged in 1947 with the rank of Sergeant. After the war, he married Charlotte Wright and resided in New Florence. They had one daughter GeJuan (Poston) Cochran who resides in Mexico. GeJuan and her husband, Richard, gave him two grandchildren, Shannon (Jennifer) Cochran of Sheffield Village, OH and Amanda (Jim) Huenefeldt of Kansas City. He has been blessed with two great-grandchildren, Thomas Cochran and Greta Huenefeldt. On May 7, 1971 he married Dorothy (Bolton) Gliser and to that union five step-children were added to his family. Sandra (Gerald) Gibson of Buell; Louis (Clyde) Runkle of Spirit Lake, ID; Mike (Loraine) Gliser of Holts Summit; Larry (Denise) Gliser of New Bloomfield and Alvin (Christine) Gliser of New Bloomfield. Marvin worked in the clay business, hauled tile in Colorado, started Service & Supply Coop in New Florence, and managed Phillips 66 and Standard filling stations in New Florence. Marvin and his wife, Dorothy were house parents at the Christian Children’s home in Farmington and St. Louis. They later moved to St. Charles where Marvin worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital until his retirement. After retirement, Marvin and Dorothy moved to Warrenton. They volunteered in the Activities Department at Katie Jane Nursing Home. They also volunteered at Senior Centers and delivered Meals-on-Wheels in Warrenton, Montgomery City, and Wellsville. Marvin had been a member of Warrenton American Legion. Marvin and Dorothy were active members in churches in the communities where they lived and their church membership is with Liberty Christian Church in Thompson. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, younger sisters Jewell (Poston) Johnson and Hazel (Poston) Johnson, stepson Alvin Gliser, and stepson-in-law Gerald Gibson. He is survived by his children, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as friends.
