Mr. Fischer is survived by his wife, Evelyn Fischer nee DeHas of Lee's Summit, MO, daughter, Karen (Jaime) Hummer of Kansas City, KS, daughter, Sue (Jeff) Gaetz of Westfield, MA, and son-in-law, Frank Koester. He was the beloved grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his father, William Fischer, mother, Adele Fischer nee Reimler, daughter, Paula Koester, brother, Raymond Fischer. Mr. Fischer was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Lake St. Louis. He loved playing golf, bowling, racquetball, pool and darts. He worked for Ameren UE for 33 years as their personnel manager in Alton, Illinois.

He was a HAM Radio operator, a member of AFCEA and he loved playing golf.
