Sharon E. Andel, 63, of Troy, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at her residence following an illness.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1948, in St. Louis County to John and Genevieve (Drining) Kohenskey. Sharon grew up with her younger sister, Debbie in St. Louis County. At the age of 18, she married her soul mate, Ronald M. Andel. Together they raised their children: Joe, Mike, Tim, D.J. and Stephanie.
The Andel family lived in St.Louis and St. Charles before moving to Troy about 20 years ago. Zion United Church of Christ in Troy was a significant part of who she was. Sharon would help in whatever capacity she was needed at her church.
Surviving are her loving family: her sons: Joe and wife Rhona Andel, of Troy, Mike and wife, Pam Andel of St. Charles, Tim and wife Steph Andel, of Troy, D.J. Andel, of St. Peters and her daughter: Stephanie Andel and Eric of Troy. She is further survived by her six grandchildren: Cody, Colten, Alyssa, Rachel, Olivia, Mikinna; her great-grandchild: Mikey; her devoted sister: Debbie and husband, John Wood, of Winfield and her mother-in-law: Reggie Andel of St. Louis; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Ctr. in Troy. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. David Beebe. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery, Troy.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 and also Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 1p.m. services at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or PALS, c/o the funeral home.

Mrs. Clara W. Voepel, 95, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Lincoln County Medical Center, Troy.
Clara was born on Oct. 30, 1915 in Moscow Mills to Joseph and Louise "Lizzie" (Meyer) Genzling. At the age of 20, she was united in marriage to Frederick Voepel in Moscow Mills on Oct. 3, 1936. The couple relocated to St. Louis County for her husband's work. They were blessed with three children: Joann, Doris and Norman.
Clara was the epitome of a stay-at-home mother. In 1976, the Voepels moved back to Lincoln County and lived in Troy for 13 years before moving back to Moscow Mills. Friedens United Church of Christ played a big part in Clara's spiritual life. Surviving are her loving children: JoAnn and husband, Tom April, of Winfield, Doris and husband, Marvin Cox, of Moscow Mills and Norman and wife, Patty Voepel, of Moscow Mills. She is further survived by her sister: Marie McNealy, of Troy; her sister-in-law: Dorothy Presta; her nine grandchildren: Sherry Kennedy, Sandra (Mike) Henfling, Tom April, John (Sharon) April, Dana (Bill) Buchanan, Michael (Chris) Cox, Donna (Mike) Gawedzinski, Jessica Voepel and Matthew Voepel; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills. Officiating was Pastor Eugene Rahmier. Interment followed in Friedens Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Serving as pallbearers were her grandchildren. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 3-8 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy.
Memorials may be made to the Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery General Fund or donor's choice, c/o the funeral home. F.

Robert Usherwood, 63, of Troy, formerly of Pike County, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy.
After attending the local schools he went on to pursue a career in the food service industry. Then about 16 years ago he met and married the love of his life Louise Boerger. They lived all over Pike County and met many nice friends there.
Robert will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Louise Usherwood of Winfield, as well as many other friends.
Services were private, memorial contributions may be made to Louise Usherwood c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379.

Jerry Sims, 69, of Eolia, died on Friday, April 8, 2011.
He was the husband of the late Carolyn Sims; son of the late Cletus and Bertha Sims; father of Greg (Linda) Sims and Jeff (Tara) Sims; four grandchildren; dear brother of Dale, Joyce and Brenda; beloved uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend to many.
Jerry is preceded in death by his step-grandson, Ryan Carter.
Services: The family was served by The Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO where visitation was held Monday, April 11, 2011 4 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be at noon, Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO. Interment was in the St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.

Funeral services for Lois Mae Lindsey, 71, of Winfield, MO were held at 10 a. m., Monday, April 11, 2011, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of Winfield First Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindsey passed away Thursday evening at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
Born May 27, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of William H. B. and Agnes Augusta Poggemoeller Dieckmann. She was united in marriage on June 11, 1977, in Troy to Mearle Wesley Lindsey.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Mearle Lindsey, of Winfield; one son, Thomas William Benear and his wife, Beng, of St. Paul; two daughters: Yvonne Sherry Bedell and her husband, Roger, of St. Peters, and Kim Lee Palmer and her husband, Charles, of Sullivan; two step-sons: Christopher Wayne Lindsey and his wife, Sonia, of Troy and Erin Wesley Lindsey of Winfield and his wife, Cynthia; and 11 grandchildren. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Myrtle Lindsey of Elsberry; a brother-in-law, George Utt of Fenton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home; 3838 East Highway 47; P.O. Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.

Mrs. Margaret E. Brooks, 90, of Troy, passed away on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at the Lincoln County.Nursing and Rehab. Center. in Troy.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1920 in Rockford, Ill. to Harry and Hulda (Kabernick) Hussmann. Margaret was the oldest of eight children. On March 30, 1940, she married the love of her life, John H. Brooks. They were blessed with four children: John, David, Margaret and Sandra. She was a devoted wife and mother.
For 25 years, she was employed by the Swing-A-Way Mfg. in St. Louis. She had been a member of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed quilting for the Sacred Heart Ladies Auxilary and TACOA.
Surviving are her loving family: her two daughters: Maggie and husband, Norman Belinski, of Troy and Sandra and husband, Rick Hunter, of Ste. Genevieve; eight grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brothers: Harry Hussmann Jr. of Illinois, Robert Hussmann of St. Louis and her sister: Lorraine Summers of St. Louis.
The prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Troy. Officiating will be Father Thomas Wissler. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park, St. Louis. Sister Mary Ann Fisher will officiate at the gravesite.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Troy.

Griffin D. Cockrell, age, 38 of Troy, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Griffin was born January 12, 1972, a child of Harold L. and Marilyn (Buckner) Cockrell Sr. in Troy. As a child Griffin was very active, loved spending time with family. He was known by many names, "Big Money", "Heavy G", or "Grif" but everyone knew him as a friend. He always made people smile and laugh with his funny jokes and remarks. After attending the local schools, he graduated from Buchanan High School and continued on to pursue his dream of becoming an over- the -road truck driver. Griffin was truly living his dream when he was out on the open road in his rig. When he wasn't driving over the road, he was spending time with his family and friends, or playing golf. Griffin was a proud member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Griffin is survived by his beloved mother, Marilyn Cockrell of Troy, two sisters: Michelle Cockrell of Troy, and Melissa Brown of O'Fallon, one brother Joe Cockrell of Troy, 3 nephews: Jeremy Cockrell, Julius & Jaylin Cockrell, and 2 nieces: Brittnee and Nyia Cockrell, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Troy. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, 11 a.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Troy.

Funeral services for Eleanor Ann McKinney, 88, of Winfield, will be held at noon, Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. J. Larry Carter will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.
Mrs. McKinney passed away early Monday morning, December 20, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
Born October 28, 1922 in Prairie du Chien, Wis., she was the daughter of Joseph and Violet Shoemaker Krachey. She was first married in August, 1939 to William Charles Kimberly. This union was blessed with six children: Donald, William "Pat", Steve, Sharon, Lois and Kathy. She was later married on January 10, 1981 in Troy, to Muril "Mac" Thomas McKinney.
Survivors include three daughters: Sharon Peine and her husband, Albert, of Troy, Lois Altman of Winfield and Kathy Kimberly of St. Peters; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Kimberly, Troy; 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Patricia Snarr and her husband, James of Lincoln, Ark.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at noon, Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, 3838 East Highway 47; P.O. Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.
