Funeral services for Gorman Oneal Langston, 80, of Winfield, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Karla Cunningham, pastor of Makin Memorial United Methodist Church, officiated with burial in Winfield Cemetery in Winfield.
Mr. Langston, 80, died Sunday morning, January 10, 2010, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Born November 11, 1929, in Hand, Ark., he was the son of Hoyd Henry and Audra Rand Langston. He was a graduate of Winfield High School. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a radio tech in the U.S. Air Force from October 24, 1950 until he was honorably discharged on October 23, 1954. He was united in marriage on September 3, 1955, in Old Monroe, MO to Patricia Ann Hemmer. This union was blessed with three sons: Douglas, Mark and Scott.
He was employed for 33 years as a machinist at Electro Motors in St. Louis from 1960 until the plant closed in 1985, and in Jacksonville, FL until he retired in January, 1993.After he retired, Oneal and Pat moved back to Winfield. Wanting something to keep himself busy, he worked part-time for Hertz Rental Car for seven years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Pat Langston of Winfield; three sons, Douglas Dale Langston and his wife, Reta, of Hannibal, Mark Robin Langston, of Winfield, and Scott Oneal Langston, also of Winfield; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves one sister: Nona Faye Painter and her husband, Jim, of O'Fallon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.

Stillborn infant Jayden Mullen was born Dec. 7, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis.
He is survived by his loving family: his parents, Leonard and Christy (Jensen) Mullen, of Troy; his brothers, Leonard and Joseph Mullen, of Troy; his sisters, Katie and Rose Emma Mullen, of Troy; his grandparents, Jay and Sheri Jensen, of Troy, and Leonard and April Mullen, of Oakley, Idaho; his great-grandparents, Emma Birkes, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Virginia Mullen, of Oakley, Idaho, and Belva (Grant) Jardine, of Rexburg, Idaho; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Troy City Cemetery in Troy. Officiating was Bishop Scott Denny.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice, c/o the funeral home.

William Adam Strobl, 81, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009.
He was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Bentley, N. D., a son of the late Michael and Julie Ann Senn Strobl. He was married Dec. 15, 1945, in Elsberry to Elizabeth Ann Austin, who preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1988.
He served in the United States Navy in WWII from Feb. 18, 1946, to Dec. 17, 1947, when he was honorably discharged in San Francisco, Calif. William was employed for McDonnell Douglas and Dundee Concrete Company, where he was a cement lab technician for 17 years. He managed his own business in Elsberry called Standard Oil. He was a member of the VFW post 7873 in Pottsboro, Texas, VFW Post 9064 in Elsberry, American Legion Post 226 in Elsberry, and American Legion Post 231 in Pottsboro, Texas.
He is survived by two sons, Billy Strobl and wife, Brenda, of Hawk Point, and Kenny Strobl, of Troy; four daughters, Karen Pierce, of O'Fallon, Mary Creech and husband, Larry, of Troy, Lisa Turner and significant other, Jeremy Kientzy, of Troy, and Sally Moreland and husband, Rick, of Kansas City, Missouri; numerous grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many friends and family.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/Troy Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at the funeral home. Pastor David Rispoli, with AM Hospice, will officiate.
Interment will be held in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.

Dorothy Louise Nuckols Wieman, 87, formerly of and a long time resident of Troy, died at her home in Wentzville on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
Born in Texas on Aug. 1, 1922, she moved with her mother to Troy as a young girl. Dorothy married Clyde Wieman, of Troy, on July 17, 1942, just before Clyde's military service took him overseas and directly into WWII.
A dedicated employee of Cuivre River Electric Cooperative for 33 years, Dorothy loved her job. She became manager of the billing department and enjoyed interacting with customers and other employees alike. Always a caring person, Dorothy often paid the bills for customers who had come upon hard times. In 1996, she received the AC Burrows Service Award for outstanding service to the Cooperative and the community. Dorothy retired in 2001 at the age of 79. Her retirement was followed by a move to Wentzville in 2005. Here, she brought her smiles and cheery attitude to all at the Green Lantern Senior Center.
Her children, Steven Wieman, Carol Reidinger and husband, Russ, William Wieman and wife, Jane, Richard Wieman and wife, Sheila, Denise Ladlie and husband, Mike, Mary Ellen Briley and husband, Russ; her eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren will dearly miss her smile, her generosity and her love, but Dorothy's spirit will live through the gracious giving and positive outlook she instilled in those she touched.
A celebration of Dorothy's Life was held at Stefanina's Banquet Center in Troy on Dec. 6, 2009.
Memorials may be given to Wentzville Green Lantern Senior Center, Emmaus Home, or donors' choice in care of McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO 63379.

Funeral services for Randy James Perry, 46, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Old Monroe, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield, will officiate with burial in Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, IL.
Mr. Perry, 46, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at his home in Houston.
Born October 5, 1963, in St. Louis County, he was the son of Johnny M. and Pamela A. Gilliam Perry. He was a 1982 graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School in O'Fallon. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from June 25, 1982 until being honorably discharged on November 24, 1986. He was stationed aboard the USS Milwaukee.
Perry was employed as a document control manager for ERM Houston an environmental control firm in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Lakeview Church in Houston. He was also a member the American Legion in Houston.
Survivors include his parents, Johnny and Pamela Perry of Old Monroe; and one sister, Angel Ruth Bromwich and her fiance, James Garner, of Winfield. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Ruth Eileen Lewis of Old Monroe; his nieces and nephew: Amanda and Chad Bromwich and Dakota Heflin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives
Visitation will be held from 5 - 9 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.

Memorial services for Dorothy Gwendelyn McFarland, 85, of Elsberry, formerly of Newburg, Ind., will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. J. Larry Carter will officiate with burial at a later date.
Mrs. McFarland died Monday, December 7, 2009, at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake Saint Louis.
Born July 30, 1924, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Helen Jones. She was united in marriage on June 15, 1957 in Alcorn County, Miss. to James McFarland.
Survivors include two granddaughters Micha Rainwater and her husband, Ken of Troy, and Judy Green and her husband, Bob, of Elsberry; four grandsons Mike DeClue and his companion, Mary Kay, of Osage Beach, Tom DeClue and his wife, Barb, of Troy, Terry DeClue and his companion, Mary, of Osage Beach, and Bill DeClue and his wife, Lisa, of St. Peters, MO; a granddaughter-in-law, Gina DeClue Barker and her husband, Richard, of Belleville, IL; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Wall of Newburg, Ind.; and several great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until time of the service on December 11, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
Memorials may be made to OATS or to Bristol Manor in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.

Mrs. Louise Long Kennedy, 85, of Phoenix, Ariz., passed away on Dec. 3, 2009.
She was born March 22, 1924, on a farm outside of Troy to Ira Virgil and Macie Long. She was educated at Central College and Gradwohl School of Medical Technology.
Louise married in 1947 and moved to Arizona in 1949. She had three children in Casa Grande and located to Phoenix in 1962. Louise ran the medical labs for family practice physicians, Dr. Rose and Dr. Hamblin and then Dr. George, Dr. Abraham and Dr. Stavros.
Surviving are her loving children: Phyllis Kennedy and Diane Kennedy-Williams and husband, Steve, and Jimmy Kennedy; grandchildren Carey Kerby and Galen Kennedy-Williams and great-grandchildren: Kennedy and Steel; brother: William Long; sister, Patricia Cope and husband Elmer; nieces: Linda Hepburn and Ellen McCoy and nephews: Tim Cope, Bill and Bob Long.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, from 2-3 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Millcreek Cemetery, Silex. Rev. Steve Brown will officiate.
Memorials may be made to donor's choice, c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home, Troy.

Joanne (Fitzsimmons) Johnson, 75 of Troy, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 8:22 p.m. at home surrounded by her children and family.
The daughter of Clancy and Zelda (Gibbs) Fitzsimmons, she was born February 18, 1934, in Mexico, Missouri.
On November 13, 1955, in Bowling Green, Joanne married Fred Albert Johnson. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1976.
Joanne is survived by: three daughters, Mary Anne Hanson and husband, David, of Taylor Mill, Ky, Sherry Czajkowski and husband, Craig, of Creve Coeur, Jody Sandweg and husband, Jim, of Sunset Hills; three sons, Terry Johnson, of Bowling Green, Larry Johnson, of Troy, Fred Johnson and wife, Jeanine of Paynesville; one step-son, Marty Unsell and wife, Ann Marie, of Hawaii; 14 grandchildren, Jeremiah Johnson, Lance Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Trent Hanson, Erik Hanson, Clint Johnson, Kayla Czajkowski, Lauren Johnson, Chad Koenig, Nick Sandweg, Doug Sandweg, Paul Sandweg; one brother, Orland Fitzsimmons and wife, Barbara, of Bedford, Texas; one sister, Carol B. Lovell and husband John of Silex and many nieces, nephews and extended family members
Joanne spent most of her life in the food service industry. She managed restaurants and her own catering service until her retirement in 1999. She attended the First Baptist Church in Troy, where she accepted the Lord Jesus into her life. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Ingersoll Chapel for Funeral & Cremation Services, 211 Boone Street, Troy, MO 63379. Reverend Richard Rhea will be the officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO.
A time of sharing with refreshments will be held at the Boat Club in Clarksville. A visitation was held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Ingersoll Chapel.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to PALS or Feed the Children in care of Ingersoll Chapel.

Master Chase Anderson Young, 17 months old passed away after his brave fight with cancer, on Dec. 4, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Chase was born June 14, 2008, in Chesterfield, Mo., the son of Philip D. and Stacia (Mennemeyer) Young of Troy.
From the moment he was born, Chase was a blessing. His big brown eyes and darling smile could win over anyone. Even throughout his difficult illness, his loving, gentle spirit shone through. His love, his light will shine eternally.
Chase is survived by his beloved parents, Philip & Stacia Young of Troy, his loving grandparents, Rich & Natalie Mennemeyer, of Troy, and Jim & Deborah Young, of Foristell; great-grandparents, Marvin & Louella Mennemeyer, of Troy, Albert Tuepker & Kenneth Henebry of Hawk Point, and William Mason of Ottumwa, Iowa.
Funeral Mass was held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point. Father Frank Koeninger officiated. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Troy.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home. Visitation will held Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, from 1-6 pm at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO, 63379.
