(Mildred) Maxine Meyer was born in Silex, on Sept. 29, 1916, to J. Howard and Rosa J. Stephens. She passed away at the Willow Care Nursing Home in Hannibal, three days after her admission, on Friday, July 31, 2009. She had been previously hospitalized for four weeks at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
She graduated from Silex High School (where she played four years varsity basketball) and Hannibal-LaGrange College where she met William F. Meyer, of Hull, Ill. They married in 1939 and lived in Hartsburg, Ill., for three years where William taught and coached before returning to Hull to farm. He passed away on June 17, 2004.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn White and her husband, Sam White, of Hull and a grandson, Stephen, of Johnson City, Tenn. Also surviving is one sister-in-law, Alma Meyer, of Hull, nieces and nephews and Clair Thompson, long time employee of the Meyer farm.
Maxine was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years where she served in many capacities. She was a loyal fan of the "Fighting" Illini, the West Pike Cardinals and a St. Louis Cardinal fanatic. She attended the Kinderhook Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. in the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry, Ill. The funeral will be held at the funeral home in Barry on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at 10 a.m. with burial in the Kinderhook Cemetery in Kinderhook.
Memorials may be made to the Mark Twain Parkinson's Fund.
Funeral services for Shirley Marilyn Tiller, 71, of Winfield, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield. Rev. Carla Cunningham, church pastor, officiated with burial in Corinth Cemetery near Foley.
Mrs. Tiller, 71, died Saturday, August 1, 2009, at her home in Winfield.
Born October 15, 1937 in Batchtown, Ill., she was the daughter of Elmer and Elizabeth Wilson Kress, Sr. She was united in marriage on November 28, 1959, in St. Charles, to Ronald Gene Tiller, Sr. This union was blessed with five children: Marsha, Ronald, David, Patrick, and Shawn. She was a member of WINCO and the Winfield Booster Club. She also served as a reading buddy. Mrs. Tiller was a member of the Makin Memorial United Methodist Church throughout her married life.
Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald Tiller, Sr., of Winfield; four sons, Ronald Tiller, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, David Tiller, Patrick Tiller and his wife, Shannon, and Shawn Tiller, all of Winfield; one daughter, Marsha Rothermich and her husband, Rick, of Troy; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, Elmer Kress, Jr. and his wife, Jo, of Ballwin; her loving niece, Puddy Petry; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.

Funeral services for Robert Raymond "Bob" Donnelly, Jr., 42 of Elsberry, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. David Rubemeyer, pastor of the Elsberry First Baptist Church, officiated with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery.
Mr. Donnelly, 42, passed away Friday afternoon, July 31, 2009 surrounded by his family at his home near Elsberry.
Born October 25, 1966, in St. Louis, he was the son of Robert Raymond and Barbara Bryon Donnelly. He was a 1985 graduate of McCluer High School in St. Louis. He was united in marriage on November 14, 1992 in St. Louis to Tonya Elaine Wagner. Their home was blessed with two sons, Jake and Jordan.
He was employed for several years as a concrete truck driver for Schreiter Redi-Mix in O'Fallon, leaving for health reasons in September, 2008. Active in the community, he was formerly a member of the Elsberry Volunteer Fire Department, and has recently worked on the Page Branch Park Committee in Elsberry. He was a member of the Elsberry First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years, Tonya Donnelly of Elsberry; and two sons, Jake Donnelly and Jordan Donnelly, both of Elsberry. He also leaves his mother, Barbara Donnelly, of Dellwood; one brother, Michael Donnelly, of Florissant; one sister, Colleen Schaeffer and her husband, Chris, of O'Fallon; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Judy Wagner of Elsberry; his sister-in-law, Angie Harris and her husband, Joe, of Elsberry; nieces and nephews: Christopher and Carissa Schaeffer, and Bradley and Natalie Harris; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

John Lee Tobin, 80, entered eternal life on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his residence in Hawk Point, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church.
He was born on September 5, 1928, in St. Louis, a son of the late John Lee and Nora E. Conklin Tobin, Sr. On September 30, 1950, at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church he was married to Rita Franz. To this union six children: Denis, Lawrence, Joseph, Jerome, John, and Mary were born.
Tobin was educated in the St. Louis and University City schools. He spent 37 years working for McDonnell-Douglas as a sheet metal worker and retired from there in 1988. John was an active church member serving as a sponsor of the CYC and was a member of the St. Mary's Parish Council in Hawk Point.
John is survived by his loving wife: Rita Tobin, of Hawk Point; five sons, Denis Tobin, of Hawk Point, Missouri, Lawrence Tobin and wife, Rose, of Warrenton, Joseph Tobin and wife, Judy, of Foristell, Jerome Tobin and wife, Denise, of Indianapolis, Ind. and John Tobin of Troy; one daughter, Mary Smith and husband, Gene, of Warrenton; one sister, Cathy; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many friends.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home/ Hawk Point Chapel. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawk Point. Officiating was Father Frank Kroeninger. Interment was held in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mrs. Etta Lou Arnold, 68, of Troy, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab In Troy.
Etta was born July 30, 1940, in Hiawatha, Kan., a child of Lawrence and Margaret (Engelhardt) Feldmeier. After attending the local schools, Etta worked a variety of odd jobs. In 1969 she married Earl Arnold Sr., in Seymour, Ind. Her grandchildren were a central part of her life. Surviving are her two sons: Earl Arnold Jr. and his wife Tyanna of Hawk Point, Avis Wingler, of Brownstown, Ind.; three daughters: Kathy Jones and husband, Travis, of Freetown, Ind., Lisa Arnold, of Seymour, Ind., and step-daughter, Connie Henry, of Troy and ten grandchildren, and five great-granddaughters.
Services were private.
Mrs. Nadine Crews, 79, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Troy Manor.
She was born on December 24, 1929, in Poplar Bluff to Rephah and Nettie (Lancaster) Hamilton. She had three siblings: Rephah, Ila Mary and Lawanda. At the age of 30 she married her sweetheart, Leroy Crews. They were blessed with two children: Gwen and Gerald. Surviving are her beloved children: Gwen Paasch and husband, Edward, of Warrenton and Gerald Michael Davis, of High Ridge; her brother, Rephah Hamilton and wife, Louise, of Farmington; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 1 p.m. from McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO Officiating will be Chaplain Kurt Greenwood. Interment to follow in the Troy City Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home, Troy. Steven Jones, 61 of Troy, died at 10:25 p.m., Saturday, July 4, 2009, at the Troy Manor.
The son of Armand Tannehill and Eileen Isabelle (Weeks) Jones, he was born February 13, 1948, in Troy.
He was never married.
He is survived by three brothers, Shelby Jones and wife, Gina, of Jefferson City, Harry Jones and wife, Charla, of Troy and Jerry Jones and wife, Sherry, of Burlington, Iowa; an aunt, Dorothy Trescott, of Winfield and an uncle, Quinten Weeks and wife, Lil of Troy.
Mr. Jones lived all of his life in the Troy area. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Ingersoll Chapel for Funeral & Cremation Services, 211 Boone Street, Troy. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Troy City Cemetery, Troy, Missouri.

Mr. Jeffrey L. Moore, age 62, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1947, in St. Louis to Jefferson and Pauline (Dearin) Moore. Jeff attended the local schools along with his brother, Gary. Following his formal schooling, he met and later married the love of his life, Patricia LeMay. They were joined in holy matrimony in 1966 in Idaho. The Moores' were blessed with three sons: Clayton, Craig and Shawn.
Jeff had always worked in construction as a carpenter doing both residential and commercial work. Jeff was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Troy.
Surviving are his beloved wife Patricia Moore, of Moscow Mills; his mother, Pauline Moore, of St. Charles; his three sons, Clayton Moore and wife, Jammie, of Moscow Mills, Craig Moore and wife, Sharon, of Moscow Mills and Shawn Moore and wife, Tricia, of Moscow Mills; his brother, Gary Moore and wife, Vickie, of St. Charles; his four grandchildren, Nicole, Heather, Cameron, Blake and one great-grandchild, Adyen; his nephew, Stephen Mercandante; other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Troy.

Ronald "Curly" Twellmann, 69, of Moscow Mills, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at his residence in Moscow Mills.
He was born on November 15, 1939, in Moscow Mills, son of the late Ray and Darline Munzel Twellmann. He then married Alberta Mershon, on December 20, 1971, at the Asbury United Methodist Church.
Curly went to grade school at Keelstone in Moscow Mills. He then graduated from Troy Buchanan and continued his education at University of Missouri College. Curly went to work for a construction company for 40 plus years. Curly is survived by his loving wife Alberta Twellmann, of Moscow Mills; one son, Charles Twellmann and wife, Amy, of Troy; four grandchildren: Tyler, Madyson, Paige and Luke; many friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Kemper-Marsh-Millard Family Funeral Home / Troy Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the funeral chapel. Interment will be held at Anderson Hill Cemetery.
