Funeral services for Thomas Eugene "Gene" Presley, Sr., 55, of Hawk Point, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Richard Turnbull, of Winfield, officiated with burial in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry.
Mr. Presley died Wednesday evening, May 27, 2009, at his home in Hawk Point.
Born April 6, 1954, in St. Charles, he was the son of Noble Irl "Bud" and Lois Faye Akers Presley, Jr. He was united in marriage on November 11, 1992, in Hawk Point to Doris Ann Heitman.
He worked for several years for Rose Acre Farms, retiring on January 13, 2009.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years, Ann Presley, of Hawk Point; one son, Thomas Presley, Jr.; one daughter, Cynthia Brill and her husband, Shannon, of Oostburg, Wis.; and three grandchildren. He also leaves his mother, Faye Presley of Foley; one brother, Buddy Presley and his wife, Leann of Winfield; one sister, Colleen Dillin and her husband, Mike, of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eileen Gentry Smith, 90, of Louisiana, Mo., were held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana. The Rev. Jeanie Webdell assisted by the Rev. Pat Glenn, officiated. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the home of her son, Philip, at 215 N. 3rd Street in Louisiana. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana.
Mrs. Smith passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana.
She was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Paynesville, a daughter of J.C. and Reba Gladney Gentry, the second of six daughters. Eileen married A.D. Smith on April 23, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1985.
She is survived by one son, Philip Smith and his wife, Andrea, of Jefferson City; grandchildren, great grandchildren and one sister, Lynda Galloway.
Eileen Gentry Smith graduated from Paynesville High School at age 16, attended Central Methodist College in Fayette for two years and returned to Pike County to begin her career in education. She taught in one room school houses in the Wright, Allison and Ramsey schools. She was an educator for over 40 years, both in the classroom and administration in Paynesville, Eolia, Clopton and Louisiana, retiring as principal of Louisiana Primary School.
Eileen Gentry Smith received a B.S. degree from Washington University in St. Louis, did graduate work at the University of Missouri and Truman State University, receiving her masters and specialists degrees from Truman State University.
She was active in the Pike County Democrat Club and in the campaigns of her son, Philip, from 1990 through 2002.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Louisiana.

Funeral service for Travis Lee O'Rourke, 26, of Wright City, will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the Pitman Funeral Home in Wright City. Visitation will be held beginning at 3 p.m. until the time of service. Private burial service will be held.
Mr. O'Rourke died June 5, 2009, at his residence.
Born Aug. 24, 1982, in St. Charles, he was the son of Michael and Janice O'Rourke.
Survivors include his mother, Janice O'Rourke, of Foristell; his father, Michael O'Rourke, of Truxton; his grandmother, Pat McCarty, of Wright City and his fiancee, Ciji Farmer, of Wright City.
O'Rourke worked as a siding installer.

Funeral service for Earl Eugene Wehmeier, 83, of O'Fallon, was held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2009, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Assumption Catholic Church Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home in St. Peters.
Mr. Wehmeier passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, in O'Fallon.
He was born Friday, February 26, 1926 in St. Paul.
He worked as a contractor.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Jo Crangle, of O'Fallon; his son, Michael Wehmeier and his wife, Lori; two sisters, Agnes Heppermann and Ruth Heitman and her husband, Albert; a niece and nephew.

William "Steve" Coleman, 59, of Winfield. He passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. His visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. and funeral services at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home in Troy.

Funeral service for Frederick Sweeney, 54, of Foristell, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Pitman Funeral Home in Wentzville. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. on Monday, June 8, at the funeral home.
Mr. Sweeney died June 4, 2009, at St. Anthony's Hospital-Kindred Care in St. Louis.
Born Feb. 8, 1955, in St. Louis, he was the son of William and Patricia Sweeney who preceded him in death as did two brothers, William Sweeney Jr. and Patrick 'Mike' Sweeney.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Sweeney, of Foristell; two sisters, Lois and her husband, Donald Duncan, of St. Louis and Jeannette Sweeney, of Troy; nieces and nephews.
He was a truck driver.

Melvin E. Bohmer, 88, Louisiana, and formerly of Troy, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana.
He was born on December 7, 1920, in Lincoln County to Edward and Leola (Smith) Bohmer. Melvin had lived in Troy most of his life. About 10 years ago, he moved to Louisiana so he could be closer to his sister. Melvin had been a member of both the Troy Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Melvin is survived by his loving family: his sister, Virginia Teasley, Louisiana; two nephews, Allan "Randy" Teasley, Columbia, Michael Bohmer, Lebanon and special friend, Zona Peterson of Louisiana; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. from Mccoy-Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone St., Troy. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Norvel. Interment will follow in Troy City Cemetery, Troy.

Pearlie Schloeman, age 91, Troy, passed away at 4:42 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at her daughter's residence in Troy.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1917, in Hawk Point, a daughter of James Alvin "Allie" and Anna Elnora Hasselfeld.
Following her education, Pearlie was united in marriage with Leon Schloeman on Oct. 29, 1938, in Troy. To this union were born two daughters, Judith Ann and Joyce Lea. The Schloeman family lived on a farm on Hwy J before moving to town in 1976. They raised livestock She was a long-time member of the Troy Bible Holiness Church. She had worked at the Gossard Garment Factory before her marriage and later retired from Hechler Hardware Company after 17 years of service. Surviving are her two beloved daughters, Judith Ann (Wayne) King, Troy and Joyce Lea (David) Niemeyer, Troy; two granddaughters, Robin (Brian) Chesser and Marsha (Randy) Christman, all of Troy; six great grandchildren, Justin Chesser, Adam Chesser, Julia Chesser, Luke Christman, Cole Christman, and Austin Christman; many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at the Troy Bible Holiness Church, 1200 S. Main St, Troy. Officiating were Rev. Marvin Braungardt, Rev. Milton Schaper, and Brother Jim McCardie.
Interment followed in the Zoar Cemetery, Troy.

Funeral services for Kenneth 'Kenny' W. Theilmann, 70, Foristell, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wentzville. Rev. Jason Auringer will officiate. Burial will follow in the S. Linn Lutheran Cemetery at Wentzville.
Mr. Theilmann passed away Jan. 5, 2009, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.
Born May 5, 1938, in Wentzville, he was the son of the late George John and Viola Theilmann.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen Theilmann, Foristell, who he married on Sept. 18, 1965; one son, Greg (Kimberly) Theilmann, Troy; one daughter, Jeanne (Gerard) Orf, Wentzville; one sister, Carol Mae Williams, Foristell and four grandchildren.
Theilmann was a meatcutter. He was a lifetime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Board of Ministry, executive director, board of education; PTL, served on several building committees at the church. He also served as the Thrivent Chapter president and on the Linn Cemetery Board. He was baptized on May 22, 1938 and confirmed on April 6, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at the Pitman Funeral Home, Wentzville.
