Dotty Glee Kellison
Dotty Glee Kellison, 75, of Chillicothe, Mo., died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at her residence, under the care of her family and Hedrick Medical Center Hospice.
Dotty was born Oct. 14, 1934 in Fort Morgan, Colo., the daughter of William H. Moore and Evelyn C. Nichols Moore Clark. On March 7, 1953 Dotty married
Kent Kelly Kellison in Fort Morgan. They moved to the Chillicothe area in 1966. He survives of the home.
She was a graduate of Fort Morgan High School.
Dotty worked for Chillicothe Municipal Utilities as Keith Beardmore’s executive secretary for 33 years.
She is survived by her husband, Kent Kellison; a son, Rob Kellison and wife Lisa, Chula, Mo.; two daughters, Kim Romeiser and husband Frank, Chillicothe, Mo., and Dawn Williams, Witchita, Kan.; a brother, William F. Moore, Casper, Wyo., and a sister, Frances Eastwood, Commerce City, Colo.; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Russell Lynn Kellison in 2006; a brother, Norval N. Moore, and a sister, Wanda Price.
A memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. There has been a cremation and a private family burial will take place at a later date. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home during regular business hours and on Sunday from 12 until 4 p.m.

Rose Lee Patchen
Rose Lee Patchen, 77, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Friday, March 19, 2010 in her home with her family at her side.
She was born Sept. 3, 1932 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of William and Helen L. (McCoy) Hamner. On Aug. 5, 1950 she married
Bennie Franklin Patchen Jr., at the United Methodist Church parsonage in Platte City, Mo. He survives of the home.
She was a 1950 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School, Excelsior Springs, Mo. She graduated from Aladdin Beauty School, Kansas City, Mo. She moved to Chillicothe, Mo., in 1958 from Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Rose was the owner and a cosmetologist at Rose Lee’s Beauty Shop in Chillicothe, Mo., from 1960 until 1980. She then became a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Mo., and the Chillicothe Campers Association. In Excelsior Springs, Mo., Rose Lee was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and a former member of Rebekah Lodge. She was a member of the Shuffleboard Team for Paradise Park in Pharr, Texas, as well as a member of two Red Hatters Clubs in Pharr, Texas. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, gardening and watching birds. She was a true outdoor enthusiast.
She is survived by one son, Ben Patchen, Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Virginia (Jenny) Jo Churchill and husband David, Chillicothe, Mo.; three grandchildren, Neelie Churchill, Donny Churchill, Duke Churchill, all of Chillicothe, Mo.; one great-grandchild, Margaret Jane Ann Churchill, Chillicothe, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Charley; one daughter, Helen Margaret Patchen and one sister, JoAnn Holm.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Mo., at 11 a.m. There will be a family visitation on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. a the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo., at a later date.

Helen Boyles
Helen Boyles, 88, of Meadville, Mo., died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Mo.
Helen was born Oct. 6, 1921 in Meadville, Mo., the daughter of Galen and Erma (Clinefelter) Lewis. On Aug. 4, 1940 she married
John Lee Boyles. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1997.
After 25 years of service, Helen retired from the United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Services (ASCS) in Chillicothe, Mo. She worked in the Linn County ASCS her first five years. She was a vegetable and flower gardener and was accomplished in quilting, crocheting, knitting, embroidery and sewing. She enjoyed playing the piano, singing alto in her church choir and working with the church CanDo youth group.
She was a member of the Meadville United Methodist Church and the Garden Club, Meadville, Mo.
She is survived by one son, John (Jack) Boyles and wife Shirley, Kirksville, Mo.; one daughter, Mary F. Boyles, Washington, D.C.; one granddaughter, JoEllen Storch and husband Clayton, Bowling Green, Mo.; and one grandson, Bill Briscoe and wife Kay, Elsberry, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Willie Briscoe, Elsberry, Mo., and Victoria Briscoe, Bowling Green, Mo.; one brother, E. Paul Lewis, Santa Ysabel, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Ruth Boyles; and one brother, Eldon Lewis.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Meadville United Methodist Church, Meadville, Mo., with Rev. Richard Fine officiating. Burial will be in the Meadville cemetery, Meadville, Mo. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Meadville, Mo., and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

She is survived by one son, Cody Dana, Cameron, Mo.; her daughter, Michelle Eckert, Chillicothe, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Lightner and wife Lovie, Chillicothe, Mo., Jeff Lightner and wife Kristine, Nokomis, Fla.; companion, Greg Kariker, Maysville, Mo.; three grandchildren, Keely Eckert, Brenten Ralls and Ally Jo Ralls.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Debbie Ann Lightner and Brenda Hicks.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Edgewood cemetery, Chillicothe, Mo. There will be a family visitation on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010.

Virgie Elizabeth was born Dec. 28, 1908 in Gallatin, Mo., daughter of James and Sallie (Houghton) Kibler. On Sept. 21, 1935 she married
John M. Irvin.
Mrs. Irvin was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Mo., where she taught Sunday school for 15 years. She was an honorary member of Jr. Sorosis and past-president and 50 plus member of Chapter T P.E.O.
She is survived by her husband, John, of the home; one brother, Walter Kibler and wife Juanita, Grain Valley, Mo.; one sister, Mary Frances Petros, Carmel, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Lucille Huffman, Ruth Strickland, Lyla Mae Comstock, Dorothy Melton and Daisy Lee Walton; two brothers, Chester Kibler and Clarence Kibler.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Mo., with Rev. Scott McNay officiating. Visitation will be immediately following the service at the church. A private burial will be in Edgewood Cemtery, Chillicothe, Mo.

Larry Duane Williams
Larry Duane Williams, 74, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 14, 1936 on a farm six miles south of Hale, Mo., the son of Alden H. and Esther H. Williams.
He attended school at Highland, Tina and Hale, Mo., graduating from Hale, Mo., in the class of 1954.
Larry served two years in the United States Army and then attended U.S. Trade School in Kansas City, Mo. He then worked as an auto mechanic in Chillicothe, Mo., until 1959 and after his marriage to Joan (Ross) moved to Kansas City, Mo., and worked as an auto mechanic until 1966 when they moved to their farm east of Tina, Mo.
Larry accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age as a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church, Hale, Mo. He was a member of the United Church of Tina, Mo., and was a Sunday school teacher for many years and served on the church board. He moved to Chillicothe, Mo., in 2007 and joined the Free Methodist Church and attended as long as his health allowed. He was a farmer for 40 years and an auto mechanic for 50 years.
Larry was also past president of the Southeast Twirlers Square Dance Club in Kansas City, Mo., and helped give square dance lessons and was a delegate to the Heart of America Federation of Square Dancers, Kansas City, Mo.
Larry served as a delegate for many years of the Hale MFA Exchange and MFA Oil Co. Due to ill health in 2006 Larry and Joan moved to Chillicothe, Mo. The Free Methodist Church of Chillicothe became their church home.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joan, of the home; two children, Jennifer Lamb and husband Barry, Moran, Kan., and Keith Williams, Columbia, Mo.; five grandchildren, Corporal Josh Plaster, Okinawa, Japan, Michelle Plaster, Emporia, Kan., Melissa Bauer and husband Tony, North Kansas City, Mo., Taylor Williams, Columbia, Mo., and Kristin Williams, Marshall, Mo.; one great-grandchild, Audrey Bauer, North Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Williams and a sister, Lois Jean Shelton.
Services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo., on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 10 a.m. There is a scheduled family visitation on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Avalon cemetery, Avalon, Mo.

Clarence Benton Edmundson
Clarence Benton Edmundson, 74, a resident of Galt, Mo., died Monday, May 17, 2010 at his residence in Galt, Mo.
He was born July 22, 1935 in Linn County, Mo., the son of Herbert C. and Mabel E. (Dennis) Edmundson.
He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960, serving in Germany from 1959 to 1960. He was a truck driver for 52 years.
He was a member of the Chillicothe Elks #656, Masonic Lodge Services No. 89 AF and AM and the Hale Tractor Pullers. He was the past mayor of Galt, Mo. He enjoyed tractor pulling, camping, fishing, riding four wheelers and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his companion, Dee Anderson, of the home; one daughter, Dana Crawford and son-in-law D.R., Chillicothe, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Jane Edmundson, Chillicothe, Mo.; one brother, George Edmundson and sister-in-law Beverly, Galt, Mo.; two granddaughters, Amy Edmundson-Parker, Roland Park, Kan., and Tegan Edmundson, Chillicothe, Mo.; one great-grandson, Miles Parker, Roland Park, Kan.; one niece, Pam Edmundson, Kansas City, Mo.; one nephew, Mike Edmundson, Humphreys, Mo.; and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dean Edmundson in 1998 and a grandson, Tanner Edmundson in 2006.
There will be a family visitation on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. There will be a cremation. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.
